Up to #27 this week. And it’s reached #9 on Apple Music!

This is a really solid album. Midnight Dreams, Higher Than Heaven, How Long and Temptation are my faves outside of the singles. All of the delays has seemed to have worked out as the #1 is looking promising!

Her team have done really well with this rollout which is very surprising after Poster Girl. Up to 136 on Spotify today. Would be great if this could manage top 30 today, but it’s looking very likely next week either way!

It seems that the songs that clog up the top 40 for months on end get their quicker but overall the numbers are lower. Last year only 16 songs were certified platinum whereas five years ago in 2017 within just the year 41 we’re certified platinum.

I like that they’re rewarding streaming as getting a platinum single nowadays isn’t easy. Excited to see the list of who’s getting it.

This is at #34 in todays midweeks. I think if this managed to go top 20 it would be a huge success and set her up well for future singles. I never even imagined it go top 100 so it was done incredibly well so far regardless.

I know this trend of sampling isn’t the most original but the song sounds great to me. Obviously helps that the original is so good.
