Darkoo and Backroadgee remix out on Friday. It’s really not sounding great. I wish they’d spend less time on these shoddy remixes and more time actually making a good song.

It is rather annoying that those songs are going to continue clogging up the top of the chart. However I think it’s more of a problem with lack of new/exciting releases than a fault with ACR. Look at the top 4 now, As It Was, Baby, First Class and Starlight all easily debuted in the top 2. It might just be me, but even a few years ago it felt like there were exciting releases every few weeks, now we’re lucky to even get one a month.

I don't seeing this making the top 40 unfortunately. From looking at their instagram stories it looks like they've already filmed the next single, unless its a remix version with a rapper. (I can't tell who they are with though)

I see This Is What You Came For as the perfect example of how to do this type of chorus well. The ‘you’s blending really well with the the varied production is what makes it sound soo good. Where as for Crazy What Love Can Do I’m actively bored in the chorus as the production is so lacklustre and even less exciting than the verses.

She's been talking about "old Mabes" and "rnb Mabes making a comeback" on her instagram recently, so hopefully her and the label have learnt from Good Lucks performance and are changing direction. I think the album will be pushed back later, but it'll be worth it if she can come up with some better songs.

It is extremely basic and I’m so over the empty choruses but I don’t hate the song. Kinda think Ella dominates over Becky vocally so not really sure why both were needed.

It just goes to show how much of an impact Todays Hits has on the apple chart as Tate is 4th on the playlist and Clean Bandit were moved up to 5th on Friday.
