  1. I’m enjoying this still also. Not expecting it to do anything chart wise at this point, even with the video still to come. It really needed a better known name attached to it. They said on a live stream a few days ago that their plan is to release several EPs throughout the year, culminating in an album at the end of the year. Hopefully something good will come out of them. I’m still hopeful that we’ll get Piece Of You at some point. I’m sure if they got Becky Hill on the vocals it would do well.
  2. 1. Adore You 2. Falling 3. Watermelon Sugar 4. Lights Up 5. Treat People With Kindness 6. Golden
  3. Same, she suited the more rnb-pop sound so much better. Although the new snippet on TikTok doesn't sound too bad (although it is like half the song weirdly). https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMLfmV5KY/
  4. Confirmed by Joel. Not sounding too exciting from the tiktok snippet.
  5. @1502298314343129092 Finally confirmed!
  6. I’m loving Dua’s parts, that chorus is gonna be in my head all day! On the other hand Megan’s sections are a bit more forgettable unfortunately. I think it’ll be a cute hit for them both but nothing massive.
  7. It's sounding good!
  8. Bryson Teller is very much a strange deviation from the usual UK features, but I’m here for it as long as the track is something a bit more exciting. I could feel with I Wish that his usual style was getting a bit old.
  9. Sounds intriguing! I’m not quite hearing Troy’s Sivan, but I can’t work out who else it sounds like.
  10. It's the fact that 2/3 years ago Mabel could easily get a top 10 hit and now she needs these other names to even try,
  11. Ergh… Generic dance is really taking over isn’t it. The only way these pop acts can get a hit is by adding these producers to the tracks. The song still might be good but I’m so over this trend already.
  12. Woo! Hyped for this. Plz be a bop.
  13. I’d rather a full album of One Kiss/ Promises also, but another Funk Wav Bounces era is a whole lot better than nothing!
  14. Wow! That’s exciting. I presume we won’t be getting this till next year? Unless its not going to be summery vibes?
  15. But what’s the point in panicking? It’s not going to achieve very much. There’s not really much the public can do about the whole situation and if somehow we do get into a big war with Russia I don’t know where you are going to escape to.
  16. @1498382489395417089 This on the other hand does not fill me with much hope.
  17. lol. Not really sure how its managed that.
  18. He wrote One Kiss and Promises with Jessie Reyez, so hopefully that means another banger is on the way!
  19. Those starters are already 100x better than the Galar ones!
  20. They need to work with some better songwriters and producers. Get back with Steve Mac and Ina Wroldson who helped write Rockabye and Symphony or Kamille who wrote Solo and Tick Tock with them. And stay away from Topic. Also maybe stay away from the male vocalists. All of their top 10's are female led. Someone like Becky Hill on this track would have made it so much more dynamic.
  21. I really don't see this or any future song by them being a hit. Without support from Radio1, Capital and the big Spotify and Apple playlists there's no chance. I can't begin to imagine how tragic the album will perform when released.
  22. 2x Platinum for 'No Lie' today!
  23. Great idea for a thread! For me if a song is ‘generic’ it means there’s nothing special, different or interesting about the production. However, a generic dance track is not necessarily a bad one in my opinion. I’d say Sigala’s recent song Melody is generic as it’s something we’ve heard multiple times before and is very much his usual style of production. However I’d much rather listen to that than say The Motto which everyone seems to rave about but I find rather dull though I wouldn’t consider it generic. I do feel like current popular dance music in general is starting to becoming a bit ‘generic’ and stale. The trend at the minute definitely seems to favour more low-key songs such as Make Me Feel Good, The Motto, Where Are You Now and Where Did You Go. Which just isn’t my vibe. I want a track that’s gonna punch me in the face with the production and the vocals. But I reckon everyone’s definition will be slightly different. Which just shows how versatile dance music is as well as peoples different tastes!
  24. This has appeared at the bottom end of the Apple Music charts at #190. Seeing as dance tracks do better on Apple Music, seeing if this rises over the next couple of days might be an indication of how it's gonna perform overall.
