Best single is decided by the top best selling songs of the year. It’s simple, Easy On Me and SOTME both got nominated in the respective years as they sold enough to be in the top 10/15 best selling British singles. Sweet Melody on the other hand was a slow burner and only got to number 1 in the next year so was not in the top songs for either year. But labels know this so it shouldn’t be a shock that it wasn’t nominated.

Sweet Melody wasn’t released this year so it wasn’t even eligible to be nominated. That’s the issue with releasing songs at the end of the year, they’re not gonna get nominated. Just look at Dua Lipa and Don’t Start Now. One of the biggest songs in the last few years but didn’t get nominated cause it was released in October similar to Sweet Melody.

Now there's a 'New Year's Edition' coming out the same day that has past hits tagged on the end: - King - Shine - If Your Over Me - Desire - Sanctify - Play - It's a Sin The label really are desperate for this to do something. :lol:

I've literally seen nothing of the sort. I think part of the issue is if you go looking for the bad comments you're always gonna find the odd one no matter who the celeb is. But it's just some internet troll who probably says the same thing about everyone. I really don't get why you obsess over the negative opinions other people have of her. If you like her then that's ok, enjoy whatever music she puts out or things she does. But even I find the comments in this thread draining so I'm sure you do.

I don't think it's that deep. People are just mocking her dance moves. I don't even find all the videos funny but it's just something that comes with being a performer. Every now and then you've gonna become a meme, just look at that Dua dance moment that went viral. I've definitely not seen any messages that extreme so I don't know where your looking.

I think Heartbreak Anthem might just make it into British Single. I doubt they’ll be in best group again. I don’t know how the best pop/rnb artist category is gonna work but they have a chance to be nominated for that I guess. Last Brits they seemed to remove the need for an artist to have put out an album to be nominated so I think they’ve still got a chance. I would love a medley performance though! Would be a great last big public performance from them.

Better Not together would probably be my second choice and it would be nice to get a solo single after all the collabs. Although I remember her saying in a video that she’d love to make a video for Tell Your Girlfriend so maybe that’ll be next.

Beautiful appears to just be a video rather than a single. I’d be here for Unlovable to get a good push as a single! It would be good for the album sales if there were more singles as it’s already out of the top 100 which is a shame.

I think you missed the point a bit. It wasn’t someone else’s idea, it was a label ploy to get the song trending. Also it annoys me when people say she’s the new Olivia Rodrigo. (and it’s not just you I’ve seen it a lot) Shes had one successful song because of TikTok, if she gets some more massive hits and a hugely successful album then she could be called the new Olivia.

Yeah it’s pretty clear at this point that the girls are done with promo. It’s a bit of a shame that No didn’t get a fair push but I’m not too bothered at the end of the day and the album is selling well which is the main focus it seems.

From what I’ve seen, it all started when she asked on TikTok for ideas for songs. Then she replied to someone’s comment saying to write a song using the alphabet with the chorus of the song as if she just came up with it. Then a few weeks later the song is fully written and produced and released officially. It then turned out that the original commenter suggesting the use of the alphabet works for Atlantic records and it was all a ploy to get the song trending. Which at the end of the day doesn’t really matter, but just seems a bit off to me.

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't like this song. The whole spelling the alphabet is way too gimmicky for me. Also the whole reason the song started trending is a bit rubbish.

I'm hoping its some sort of Drive EP with Drive, the remix, maybe the Steel bangles collab and another similar song or two. And then the single is something more in the dance/pop vein of their past singles.

Just when you think they're done with this song and there's a remix of the remix out today and a final VIP remix out on Friday with a new verse. :lol: They have also announced an EP to be released in January followed by a new single.
