It’s odd that this didn’t do better on Spotify as that’s the only platform that’s it’s not doing well on. All of Joel’s previous singles went top 10 on Spotify and Mabel normally does pretty well also.

I think it’s on around 450 million so it’s got some way to go, but I think it’ll mange it eventually given the fact that’s it’s still peaking in some countries.

Ah i see. Although it a till seems like it’s blown up more than some major artists songs do. The way it’s shot up the apple and Amazon charts seems as quick or even quicker than the likes of Bad Habits or Easy On Me.

It seems so bizarre when songs like these blow up out of nowhere. I don’t get how they suddenly get so many streams all in one day when no one really knows of them.

Its doing well on Apple at #10 and Amazon at #25, so it seems odd that it's not doing as well on Spotify all the way down at #71.

This was easily the best episode in years. Loved the guest stars and how it was actually a challenge to defeat the daleks. Although I still find the companions utterly pointless. They barely do anything and when they do it’s only because the doctor has told them to. They never seem to have their own independent thoughts.

I'm happily surprised that it's managed to hold up throughout the Christmas period. It looks like it'll get a new peak this week!

Best single is decided by the top best selling songs of the year. It’s simple, Easy On Me and SOTME both got nominated in the respective years as they sold enough to be in the top 10/15 best selling British singles. Sweet Melody on the other hand was a slow burner and only got to number 1 in the next year so was not in the top songs for either year. But labels know this so it shouldn’t be a shock that it wasn’t nominated.

Sweet Melody wasn’t released this year so it wasn’t even eligible to be nominated. That’s the issue with releasing songs at the end of the year, they’re not gonna get nominated. Just look at Dua Lipa and Don’t Start Now. One of the biggest songs in the last few years but didn’t get nominated cause it was released in October similar to Sweet Melody.

Now there's a 'New Year's Edition' coming out the same day that has past hits tagged on the end: - King - Shine - If Your Over Me - Desire - Sanctify - Play - It's a Sin The label really are desperate for this to do something. :lol:

I've literally seen nothing of the sort. I think part of the issue is if you go looking for the bad comments you're always gonna find the odd one no matter who the celeb is. But it's just some internet troll who probably says the same thing about everyone. I really don't get why you obsess over the negative opinions other people have of her. If you like her then that's ok, enjoy whatever music she puts out or things she does. But even I find the comments in this thread draining so I'm sure you do.
