1D just as we like them: fluffy, disposable and good at it.

In the last few minutes we've had the slightly hipper version of a 10's Jon Secada; and probably the most anonymous hitmaker of the last few years.

I still don't know what to make of "Gangnam Style". Whether that's a good thing or not, the jury's still out.

Maybe some won't agree with me, but "Diamonds" is the kind of slightly left of centre lead single that only a superstar with great momentum can get away with.

Ah, two doses of proper populist dance to free us from the scary ghosts of Lumineers and their Real Music horror! :D

The concept of iTunes (or any other digital shop) discounting is a bit puzzling to me. I could understand it back in the days of physical product; it was a way of getting rid of stocks. But in the digital age? I just can't quite get it, honestly.

Oh, come on, I said good things about Pink, Imagine Dragons, Discolosure, Droideka and even Bieber. Five good songs (for me) in ten is quite good, no? :unsure:

Coldplay is still good. But this Urban obsession with them has been, for the most part, unhealthy. Wither "Beneath Your Beautiful" for proof, methinks.

I hope "It's Time" flops hard, so they don't have to get stuck doing sub-Coldplay/Killers abominations.

Why Imagine Dragons had to come first with such a mortage rock abomination like "It's Time" before coming up with this is beyond my comprehension!
