An article about Mel B leaving Celebrity Juice due to a jam packed 2021, is reporting only: America, Europe and Australia. Why not add Asia though? An alliance of tour promoters has pitched a road map to their government to allow international tours to resume in 2021, if: - There are only essential band members, two support staff and they are tested for COVID-19 before leaving and again on arrival. - The bands being quarantined at a compound, with a rehearsing studio for 14 days. - Hiring tour staff and crew (who reside in the toured country) to replace the band's usual tour team. - Punters must download the government's COVID-Safe app to attend the show. - Crowds to be capped at 70 per cent of total capacity and social distancing measures to be in place. Even if a tour or leg can proceed, would bands and groups consider adding more concerts, if others are likely to sell out due to a venues capped capacity?

It's like a soccer world cup. There's 32 or 48 places to fill, and continents and regions get allocated a particular number. Try dividing that pie up with smaller and larger pieces. And do any cities get more than one concert? (Apart from: London, Birmingham, Manchester, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto) With last year's tour, Brazilians and New Zealanders travelled to the UK to see some of their concerts. Proposed Spice World Tour - 2021 Region/Number of concerts: UK: 10 to 13 Europe: 7 to 15 (Ireland: 1 or 2) Asia: 3 to 6 Australia/New Zealand: 5 to 7 North America: 20 to 25 (United States: 15 to 18, Canada: 5 to 7) Africa: 2 to 3 South America: 2 to 6 Total number of concerts minimum: 49, maximum: 75 Save the best for last, with the last concert of an international tour at ANZ Stadium in Sydney (capacity 83,500), or at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (capacity 100,024), with fireworks at the end, to rival a concert at Wembley Stadium. (Both grounds were used for the 1956 and 2000 Summer Olympic Games.)

Australia (6th largest country), with a population of 25 million, has an arid interior in many areas. (Unlike: Europe, Canada and most of the USA.) Most of our population lives on the coast. With the mainland east coast the most populated. How many months between a tour announcement and tour dates/schedule would you reckon there would be?

It couldn't be our: spiders, snakes, crocodiles, sharks and jellyfish scaring them from coming here? Heck, koalas are at risk of extinction. Wouldn't they like to see and hold one of those? Don't forget: platypus', echidnas, possums, wombats, kangaroos, wallabies and kookaburras.

What about: Canada, New Zealand and South Africa? The UK and USA have already been visited and toured a lot. (2020 is fitting for Australia being unchartered territory, being the 250th anniversary of Captain Cook's visit.) The girls sold 6 x platinum here with their first 2 albums. + have 16 ARIA certifications. And Aus is the only country where their Greatest Hits reached number 1 on the charts. Anyway, here's a way of determining how many other fans you would be competing with to buy a ticket to see a group or band at a venue. You will need to know: - The total number of recordings sold in your country, for the group/band. - The percentage of your country's population (recent years) who live in the region (county/state/territory/province) a venue is located in. (And add those fans from bordering regions, if there's no concerts in their area.) - The maximum capacity of the venue. To calculate: - Enter the total number of recordings sold. - Divide by 100 - Multiply by the percentage of your country's population, that your selected area - county/province/state/territory (venue located in), is a percentage of. - If necessary, add the percentage of adjacent and bordering regions in your country, that don't have any venues and tour dates included. (In case fans from there travel). - Divide by the maximum capacity for your considered venue. From a few cities and possible venues spread across Aus, I can ascertain that I would be competing with anything ranging from: 1.17, 1.46, 1.84, 2.02, 2.07, 2.59, 3.89, 4.86, to 6.72 other fans for every ticket available at particular venues/locations.

Australia, has a population of 25 million, compared to the UK with 66 million. Depending on the band/group and interest from fans, some concerts may sell out (particularly in Australia's two largest cities - Sydney and Melbourne.) I was using other performers and their tour schedules from the last decade as a guide. (Pink, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Paul McCartney) Pink has done a lot of concerts (major mainland cities) during past tours here. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers even came to Tasmania for the first time and did 1 gig during their last Aus tour. Who had gigs booked in Aus? I wasn't aware of anything official booked by the Spice Girls. After Mel B failed to consult with the others first and blurted it out at the conclusion of last year's tour. Geri wasn't interested in travelling abroad to tour as she wanted to be with her children. And whether there was tension with Mel B, after comments made by her about apparent past shared actions.

Regarding Australian Rules Football, the AFL have resumed the 2020 premiership season. But there are only very small crowds allowed at Queensland venues. Western Australia will soon host an intrastate derby with only half of the 60,000 ground capacity (Optus Stadium, Perth) allowed. And due to a current second wave in Victoria (where 10 of the 18 clubs) are located. They will have to move into hubs in other states and territories, in order to continue competing. Some state and territory borders are still closed. I would suggest at least 7 to 9 concerts in Australia across at least 5 major cities. (Syd/Mel x 2 or 3 each, Bris/Per/Ade x 1 or 2 each.) I don't know if they intend to also tour: New Zealand, South Africa, Brazil and Argentina. Many (though not all) bands and groups that tour Australia, only visit the mainland east coast. (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) If it wasn't for this pandemic would the Spice Girls be even considering or planning an international/world-wide tour in the next year or so? (Other than 2021 being their 25th anniversary, and to spread positivity, if you don't include 1994 and 95, before their first recordings were released to the public.) Apparently, ABBA are planning to release new music and songs this year.

- How much time was there between the announcement of the tour and tickets going on sale? - What time did tickets go on sale? - Were you able to buy a ticket to your nearest or preferred location? - Which type of internet connection did you use? (Broadband/ADSL, fibre to the node, fibre to the curb, fibre to the building, mobile 4G, fixed wireless, wi-fi, satellite, hybrid fibre-coaxial) My only web access at home, is my phone with 4G coverage with a speed/rate of: 16 to 21 mbps. The local public library have fixed line NBN internet for their desktop computers. But with making any purchases online in a public area, you need to be aware of any internet and financial security risks and if the ticket seller's website is secure as well. - I could take my notebook there, but the public/shared wi-fi speed/rate would be slower. They would need to do a proper leg or tour of Aus. Not do only 1 concert in Sydney, as was planned for their 2008 Tour before the tour date was cancelled. Sydney and Melbourne tour dates can sell out for many concerts.

It's been a while since I've logged in here. From my winter hiberation, I think a good tour schedule for Australia would be: Sydney and Melbourne having at least 2 concerts each, and Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide having at least 1 concert each. New Zealand fans may want to travel over. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cit...a_by_population https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Oce...ums_by_capacity https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ind...as_in_Australia I would think Down Under would be more likely toured some time between: September - November 2021, or January - April 2022. And any Northern Hemisphere locations would be toured earlier in 2021, during their spring and or summer. And it may not clash with the rescheduled Tokyo Summer Olympics (July 23 - August 8, 2021). (All depending on the COVID-19 situation.) I had a look at some past Australian (leg) tour schedules by other famous foreign performers including: Katy Perry, Pink, Ed Sheeran, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift. In Australia, the Spice Girls first two albums went platinum 6 times, and until recent years, they were the highest selling female group with a total of 16 ARIA certifications. For any fans who tried to buy a ticket to last year's UK/Ireland Tour, did you have any problems with ticketing websites, such as Ticketmaster?

Stadium Australia, (commercially known as ANZ Stadium) has an oval capacity of 82,500 and rectangular capacity of 83,500. The Melbourne Cricket Ground has a capacity of 100,024. (It was used as the main stadium for the 1956 Summer Olympic Games.) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_spo...es_in_Australia I watched The Sunday Project. (2 Aus. interstate radio presenters went to one of their Wembley concerts with scalped tickets.) But no details have been released yet about dates, cities, venues and prices for the Aus. tour. My guess for their Australian tour itinerary is: A: Perth x 1, Adelaide x 1?, Melbourne x 1 or 2, Sydney x 1 or 2, Brisbane x 1. Or, B: Sydney x 1 or 2, Melbourne x 1 or 2, Brisbane x 1?

Wait, what? My ears prick up, being the resident Australian on here. What's the name of the radio station? That apparent prize wouldn't include travel costs. I live interstate, away from Melbourne, Victoria. When Emma had that live Q and A session online on the day her new album was released, she replied to a question from an Australian fan, that: "I love Australia, I'm hoping to go to there very soon." I assume she was being polite. But yes, an overseas tour during British school holidays - late 2019, or some time in 2020? There's no great likelihood of it happening. I'm on Ticketmaster's notification list anyway. http://www.kiis1065.com.au/shows/kyle-jack...-tour-australia https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail....-Australia.html https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q...C97T6lMhTa27YSV https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q...Uy5z3mE28LVjDaR
