  1. I'm the biggest faller! :D Still got a good amount of my faves left though so can't complain.

There is no way Trouble can be considered an enduring classic  Maybe there would be a couple of others that might count but it's probably safe to say that Another Love/Do I Wanna Know week would be the biggest example of it.

Ah yes, I forgot that it came out on Wednesday!

Do I Wanna Know was very unlucky to miss the top 10 though, it entered at #11 and went on to have a long chart run (if streams had been included in the chart earlier it probably would have made it eventually considering it peaked at #4 in the streaming chart while it was #14 officially on the week they released the album), and finished in the top 100 songs of the entire decade!
  5. To be fair there's a LOT in this list I'm beyond tired of hearing  Great to see Learn To Fly in there though!
  6. So did I! Glad it managed a top 75 finish here, it's a great tune.
  7. Great result for Muse!
  8. Worked nicely for Harry Styles this year though!
  9. Ed now has 5 #1s in 2022 using this system! Celestial, Cuff It and Psycho are the three latest songs to join the list.
  10. Hasn't taken the entire top 20, massive flop tbh
  11. That's some massive first day domination from the Taylor and AM albums! So has Lil Dicky (although this has hardly any relevance to the conversation since I don't think he's planning a surprise album drop)

  13. Yay for that big climb for Runaway (U & I), can't believe it almost made the top 20 here! Their best song by far. Blank Space hitting a new peak this year is also welcome.
  14. Going for Madonna now, might be doing that for a while.
  15. Five and Queen have to go first!
  16. Lost was not back on the setlist in Manchester, he performed Candy again instead! It was a good show though, lots of his big hits which went down very well with the crowd, as you can tell from that video of the acapella medley at the end!
  17. I think this could be a fairly unpredictable World Cup but would say Brazil are in the best position to win it!
  18. Wow, fantastic start to the 2005 list, glad they're all in there but all five should be higher! Push The Button is such a classic pop tune and Since U Been Gone works as a similarly good singalong anthem, Kelly's pop-rock songs in particular were great but haven't been a fan of anything she's released after the 2000s finished oops (festive songs aside). Particularly happy to see Helena, Talk and Everyday I Love You Less and Less included, all of those would be in my top 20 of the year! All by incredible bands too, I recently put Helena as high as 5th out of 13 in an indie forum thread ranking all of MCR's top 75 hits, love the appreciation for their comeback The Foundations of Decay in your commentary there too, a real contender for my favourite song of 2022 so far! X&Y and Employment were both great albums as well, Everyday I Love You Less and Less is a bouncy break-up banger and Talk would even go in my top 10 of 2005, the sample works nicely, the lyrics are great and the instrumental throughout is fantastic! It's a really underrated song in Coldplay's discography these days

It was a 3 contest return last time, hopefully can keep it going at least slightly longer than that this time! :D

First time submitting an artist that has been sent before, but it's one of my favourite songs of the year.

No surprises there with that winner!
  22. Love to see the Barber's Adagio For Strings appreciation, what a tune! The highest song that I'm not familiar with from the chart when I was born was, fittingly, a new entry at #4 called You Are Alive  0x3y7ce2g1o I think I've heard this once or twice before but couldn't really remember it. It does sound a bit similar to Fragma's previous single Everytime You Need Me and is easily identifiable as being from the early 2000s with various other vocal trance hits around that time (would be great if there was a trance revival in the chart soon!). Decent uplifting tune though. I do recognise the rest of the top 20 from that week at least.
  23. It's an original! Surprised it's dropped out this early.
