After doing some further research, it turns out there has been a higher non top 100 hit! Losing You by Solange finished as high as 2nd in its year round (2012) in ROTD 2015 :magic:

Just had a listen to Hotel and would agree with The Weeknd comparisons (although wouldn't quite call it as good), I am definitely getting The Hills vibes from it!

For non top 40 the answer is pretty obvious, Run Away With Me won the entire ROTD once! I can’t think of any examples of non top 100 hits that have done better than 6th off the top of my head so I’m not sure if it’s been done before but I do remember one that came very close, Flesh Without Blood reached 7th in the year round at one point.

I hadn't noticed that but that's another valid example! Hopefully these can get sorted and put in the right rounds for next year. I think having 36 AQs for those years is probably the fairest way of solving that problem so that none of them lose their place.

When You Tell Me That You Love Me is OK but the original version with just Diana was better! The Rose was a decent cover though, while I wouldn't say it was one of my favourites I also think it's a bit lower than it should be here, that and Seasons In The Sun should have swapped places.

Good start! Ain't That A Kick In The Head was my -1 and deserves last place, and Mandy was easily their worst #1. Lighthouse is the only one I don't mind in that bunch.

Looking forward to seeing these results! I'll predict World of Our Own to win and Ain't That A Kick In The Head to come last. Dark horse prediction would probably be my fave If I Let You Go, it gets a lot of hate on the forum for blocking Better Off Alone but I'm hoping that this rate will show that it is at least one of their better songs!

Would be good to see! Does moving Good Days mean there would be 36 AQs for 2021 though? Also sorry to be a pain especially as these won't even make any difference to the AQs because they didn't score enough points but may be useful for next year's nominations, I noticed Disturbed's The Sound of Silence got moved from 2016 in last year's vote to 2015 this year despite only becoming a UK hit in 2016, and even more bizarrely Charlie Puth's Attention was in the 2018 round instead of 2017 where it had almost its entire chart run.

That's a pretty good debut for NOPUS, hopefully it can get into the AQs next year. Parasite Eve dropping out of the AQ zone by one point is a shame but After Hours making it through to the semi-finals is a very pleasant surprise!

Misery Business was released before Riot in the UK though, it also charted in June!

What a fantastic top three, glad they're all heading straight through to the final! :cheer: Amazed that Go_A have made it into the semis too but very happy with that, and same for Masked Wolf and Coldplay getting AQs (aw at Moth To A Flame falling just short though) although I'm also shocked that Coloratura did so much better than My Universe and Higher Power. Yes, there was a YouGov survey on how Britain reacted to the Queen's death which also included statistics on support for the monarchy. They found that 64% of Brits support the country having a monarchy (with 21% opposing it and 15% saying they don't know), which is down from 75% ten years ago. There is also a clear age divide on this - 84% of 65+ year olds are in favour compared to 10% who oppose it, but for 18-24 year olds only 40% support it compared to 29% who oppose it.

It was over 1.5m yes! If we're considering his 2005 level as not being high enough then I don't think the GH era in 2004 could be included either. Of course his GH album did well as it had all of his massive hits from the previous years but as far as the singles are concerned Tripping did better than Radio and Advertising Space did better than Misunderstood!

I would definitely still include 2005's Intensive Care era in that, Tripping was a much bigger hit than his 2004 tracks (even though it didn't reach #1 like Radio did) and the album did pretty well too! Would agree that Rudebox killed that momentum pretty quickly though :lol:

Christina's Dirrty had the weakest #1 sales of those three (even on its first week) - her second week at #1 (which is also the same week he released Escapology) would have been the best opportunity for it!
