I've never liked Tool, but I read an interesting review of this and ended up buying it... and it's great.
  2. Well, not in the original sense of the term, but it's got so diluted these days that nobody really knows what is and what isn't any more.
  3. Can we have this one over in t'other forum please? ;)
  4. Stupid.
  5. OK then... bearing in mind that I've not read it through and am just commenting as I see them: The Used - 'Take It Away' - it's alright... Hawthorne Heights - 'Niki FM' - I quite like Hawthorne Heights generally. My Chemical Romance - 'Helena' - not their best song by far, I would've gone for 'Headfirst For Halos' as being more classically emo and generally better. Atreyu - 'The Remembrance Ballad' - Fantastic choice, amazing song. Brand New - 'Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades' - well, I said it should be there, but I would've chosen the other one. Head Automatica - 'Beating Heart Baby' - not a massive fan, to be honest I would've gone for something by Glassjaw if I was looking to shoehorn Daryl Palumbo in somewhere. Rites Of Spring - 'End On End' - well, they invented the genre so they've gotta be in here somewhere... great song. Coheed & Cambria - 'Welcome Home' - they've done more anthemic than this, but it is a bloody good song. Theaudition - 'Approach The Bench' - not heard this one. Thrice - 'Red Sky' - not quite your classic emo, but a great song anyway. The Get Up Kids - 'Action & Action' - great, can't argue with that. Aiden - 'World By Storm' - alright I guess. Funeral For A Friend - 'She Drove Me To Daytime Television' - great stuff. Underoath - 'Reinventing Your Exit' - Yeah, I like these guys. One of their better tracks. Armor For Sleep - 'The Truth About Heaven' - haven't heard this one, but I do like their other stuff. Taking Back Sunday - 'Twenty-Twenty Surgery' - awesome track but I would've gone for something else. Angels & Airwaves - 'The Adventure' - not bad... Circa Survive - 'In Fear And Faith' - It's a bit Coheed really, I like. Finch - 'What It Is To Burn' - I like it, but they've done loads better. Fightstar - 'Hazy Eyes' - phenomenal. I love Fightstar and this is one of their best. The Fall Of Troy - 'F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X' - not a bloody clue. Jimmy Eat World - 'If You Don't, Don't' - They've done lots better too. Dashboard Confessional - 'Hands Down' - Great song but I would've chosen many of theirs before this. Matchbook Romance - 'Surrender' - Erm... dunno. From First To Last - 'Mothersound' - don't know this one either. I'll comment more later, undoubtedly with stuff that I would've chosen instead.
  6. But anyway, until I bother to go out and buy the magazine, here's a few that I think should be on the list (though obviously they may already be on there): Brand New - 'The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows' (the ultimate emo anthem, no messing) Brand New - 'Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades' (can you tell I'm a huge fan of Brand New?) Taking Back Sunday - 'Cute Without The E (Cut From The Team)' Idlewild - 'A Modern Way Of Letting Go' (officially the best unintentional emo song ever) I don't really know where else to aim without going into more pop-punk territory, so I'll just head off to buy the magazine and get back with more stuff that fits in with their list. Back in ten minutes.
  7. 20/20 Surgery is on the new one released a couple of weeks ago... Cute Without The E is on Tell All Your Friends. Anyway, I haven't seen the list.
  8. The first of the two was alright, grew on me after a while... the second just didn't have anything that appealed to me at all. Guess I just hate Daron singing.
  9. I can't decide whether I prefer Funtwo's or JerryC's version of Canon Rock... I think Funtwo's version is a lot smoother and generally flows better, but I prefer the way JerryC does the bit between 1:23 and 1:33 on his video. My obsession with this has come back to life, yo.
  10. I love SOAD but I'm quite happy with them having a few years off, particularly as the last album was virtually unlistenable...
  11. Let's hope it's better than the last one.

It's a good album, yeah. Well worth it if you're into that kind of thing.
  13. Actually, I've changed my mind... it's not just brilliant, it's the best thing they've ever recorded. Job done.
  14. No Buses is absolutely bloody brilliant. 'Nuff said.
  15. HUGE love for that tune. ...but nothing says summer quite like Silver Sun. Or possibly 'Mr E's Beautiful Blues' by eels.
  16. He's another one like the bloke from Avenged Sevenfold who comes across as a complete pillock in interviews. But... yeah, I quite like them. I think it's cool when they get someone from the crowd to fill in on vocals, Hell Is For Heroes did that when Justin buggered his voice up mid-show once, heh.
  17. Seriously, Erm, anyway, I agree with that... only I'd go for Brosnan as the best. He looks like what I'd imagine Bond to look like... if that makes any sense.

    ...rock. Discuss.
  19. Heh, if I'm gonna drink that kinda thing I'll go for Red Rooster - you get a litre bottle for the price of a can of Red Bull.
  20. Um... to be honest it makes precisely bugger-all difference to my life.
  21. I think there must be some kind of trend going on, because here's someone else doing an equally amazing job of the same piece of music. (It's not just someone miming, the two sound different enough to tell apart.) video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1491516901670441597&%20pr=goog-sl
  22. Bloody hell.

Heh, I've just remembered I'm not supposed to be here... *vanishes*

I think it's intended to refer to the title of the album by Jenny Lewis (the cover of which is in his avatar) rather than a coat made out of rabbit fur. ;)
