Heh, I don't actually go to many gigs, it's just that I've been to two festivals and seen about 25 bands at each. I suppose I should add: The Killers Longview (who have since renamed themselves Long-View) The Infadels I haven't bothered to include little-known bands from random local gigs that I've been to, otherwise we'd be here all day. :lol:

Everyone likes Placebo... don't they? Well, I do. Can't say I'm hugely into them, but they've done some quality over the years.

They're signed to Charlie's own Sandwich Leg Records, which is part of Island/Universal.

Aye, I saw them at Reading and some **** was firing water bombs from a huge catapult... tosser. They don't deserve it. I hated Busted as much as (if not more than) most people, but Fightstar are so different. I dunno, maybe they've just caught me at the right time by doing the sort stuff I'm really into right now, but I hope they go far.

The debut album from the best band to come out of Essex since InMe... is out next week and is probably the only thing that's gonna rival Fightstar for the title of Album Of 2006 in my head. Please don't let me be the only one that's heard of them... :unsure:

Heh, cheers... I dunno, I just have this habit of not wanting to see rock-based forums go unused. Spent too long doing that on my 'home' forum until I dragged it up by its neck, so I figured I might as well start here as I mean to go on.

Now all we've gotta do is persuade them to let me moderate something and we're SORTED. How 'bout rock/indie... or my new emo/punk/metal thing if they give it to us? (I may not be entirely serious but, well, you could pick worse/less experienced people for the job. :P)

Off topic, but considering they were like the biggest group in the world for a few weeks (and 'Juicebox' being an absolute BLINDER), The Strokes' new album hasn't done all that well.
