I get my music for free from my guy , but he gets albums/EPs as freebies from the recording companies so it's all legal. I ocasionally buy an album myself or download singles from iTunes (when I'm impatient to wait for him to get it for me). And most people buy me CDs as presents, so it's all above board.

Did Judas go top 10? And Gaga has just reached Mariah's numbers, there are others with more. I'm sure ONE OF THE artists with most consecutives #1 is Madonna, with 17 or 14 (can't remember for sure)

If the sales keep up at a similar rate, Adele could be at 4 mil. sales by October, 5mil. by Nov/Dec !

I wouldn't be too sure. It all depends if Adele can maintain the sales gap versus the airplay gains.As many have said above, Adele has a knack of getting it right. The buzz around her is enormous. I reckon she needs 45 k more sales , normally. She's still at #1 on iTunes , but M5 have increased, at 82% , compared to 69% last week's first few days... It will be a closer race , surely, but it all depends now on how many people will buy SLY versus MLJ. And if she loses the spot (unlikely IMHO), then she will return to no.1 the week after :) .

Soo many to choose from ...ahhhh...

Oh, well, this will be the end of her success... joke . Really sorry for you guys, I hope you manage to see her ... , she will re-schedule as allways. It couldn't have come at a worst point , right now when she hit the monumental records both in UK and WW. I thought she could start sneaking in some promo in Japan after her tour dates here and before going back to the US tour. Adele should be doing the MV whilst she is unwell - that would be a great consolation :) .

^^ I know, right? :lol: And I started this thread.... And here she is, slaying everyone on both sides of the pond and getting that no.1 on America with a ballad ! Now I'm content to say I'd have loved a video for SLY, adored one for SFTTR and still hope she will make the darn vids :D . But I love her songs so much it doesn't matter anymore (unless from a music video archive point of view, or from an artistic angle - I'd have loved to see her vision of the songs ). For now we'll have to settle to the live versions and admire her courage to go against the grain and still be successful.

SFTTR is doing really well -currently at #18 on UK iTunes and at #29 on US iTunes :o: (3 days ago it was at #59, then it went at #34). It looks that it still has potential to smash. For me SFTTR battles with SLY, RITD and TT as one of the best songs on '21'.

TOTAL US CHART RUNS OF RHI on Hot 100 (US) : Rumour Has It #96 3 Weeks 96-99-99-out (Updates are only up to last week.) Pretty impressive, considering she had no airplay. The sales must have factored 99% of its position. I think America will embrace this song .

And we aren't counting her singles. RITD became the biggest US seller in a year , beating 'Boom Boom Pow' and has sold over 7 mil.WW. And now SLY - the biggest UK single this year, is about to be announced no.1 on HOT 100 (already took no.1 on Digital Sales, with 275,000) which will propel it to God knows what numbers WW.
