Adele has THE biggest-selling female solo album in the UK...
The years will be great Frank, thanks. :) EDIT : Per vidcapper, '19' has sold in UK, in total 1,715,000. That should move it up 2 spots on the list. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=133503

Daily US Airplay Updates - JUN-DEC 2011
As of today, SFTTR 's airplay is minimal: ADELE - Rumour Has It = 2.163 (365.507) ADELE - Set Fire To The Rain = 0.243 (14.706) ADELE - Turning Tables = 0.135 (8.339) I think it's being used as a promo track for a US TV series but that's all I can gather - besides it being cherry picked as an album track or because of Adele's touring there, I cannot explain its continuous presence/re-entry on the top 100.

Considering the discussions have only just begun for next week's no.1 and it's allready a bit of a mess in here I'm going to bow out of the thread hoping that MLJ will take the top spot :P . Have fun!

They might be from the XF but they weren't winners. And how many runners-up performed on XF up to then? 2-Rhydian and JLS. How many other non-winners performed more than once? JLS. I don't dislike them per se but I think their music is generic and I feel strongly that they were given preferrential treatment (pushed down our throats) by the Cowell&Walsh machine- they saw the little girls running with the parents' money to fill their coffers. And there's no logical explanation of why The Saturdays weren't allowed when, besides the big acts you mentioned (some of them even embarassed themselves on the XF) we've had the above-mentioned The Wanted, fresh after one single but otherwise unknown, endless Westlife, Boyzone and Robbie when they weren't at all relevant, Take That and Girls Aloud on a constant basis and the huge pimping of Cheryl Cole, Shane Ward's lifeless return, Diana Vickers etc etc. Allowing for the has-beens and the oldies and the 'singer-turned-judge' , how would you explain The Wanted and Diana (remember the scandal around her copying that song?), then? They really were nobodies at that point, even more so than The Saturdays. As I said, I am not a fan of The Sats but I do think they have been screwed for certain opportunities.

iTunes Chart: September (I)
Talent is subjective, as is music taste and who you call a 'big act'. I wouldn't call JLS of 3 years ago a 'big' act - yet they've had slots in X Factor from the word go and The Saturdays didn't ... It IS curious, especially as the girls had numerous duets(read interactions) with the guys on other shows. And I do remember Simon and Louis having constant digs at the girls in the live XF shows, some of them really uncalled for. Now I'm not a Saturdays fan but when you are the creator of monstrosities like the duo Cowell& Walsh created to 'bless' the music industry I don't know if I would be so arrogant as to dismiss a rather good pop act like The Saturdays.

Adele. - 21
I think it will have another sales increase, both in the UK and the US. The singles are helping along and creating new buzz. It's all good :) .

iTunes Chart: September (I)
I'm sorry if I was too realistic ^_^ . To me , it seems they've harmed each others' chances by releasing at the same time. If they've made an agreement of sorts and released one-two weeks apart it might have been better and helped concentrate the attention on one of the three for a while. This way, the potential sales are dissipated amongst fanbases (with rivalries doing little to 'borrow' sales from one to another) and little else is left to sustain the attention, especially as other singles are contenting for the same frame . I've heard more of MLJ and Example's chart battle than of the three mentioned here. No offence to anyone, as I like the girls. Also, none of the singles is such a standout song as to guarantee chart longevity.

I don't know. I don't see a great deal of buzz around any of these songs , outside music boards. They could all have a short span.
