I mean that's shocking for Ed but not so shocking when you think almost every single release lately all seem to plummet (Even Chappel look how much she dropped from the initial 700k day) Harder than ever for songs to break through without a viral moment. I genuinely thought Azizam was heading straight to number 1 this week - How wrong was I!

I hear what you’re saying but you can’t expect an artist to remain that popular. Ariana for example was debuting with 1M + debuts and look at her last album / even the recent deluxe tracks a few years ago Twilight Zone would have been an easy number 1 I’m sure of it. Olivia Rodrigo is the same her debut album was HUGE and her second was nowhere near on the same level despite it doing extremely well… Justin Bieber and Drake are other examples of having huge success literally releasing anything and it had big streaming numbers…Now those numbers are a distant memory. Streaming / the charts have just changed now it’s rare for songs to come out the gates with insanely huge numbers they all seem to climb if they’re going to be hits Die with a Smile entered in the 20’s on Spotify in the UK..

Obviously Ed has lost his crazy first day dominance but debuting at 7 is still great considering how long he has been in the industry. I wouldn't say it's game over I can see Azizam sticking around and I'm assuming the label / Ed think this too as the physicals and the official video are out at a later date (Video has been shot) so I'm assuming they predicted it would grow? Disappointed with Miley 48 isn't great so I hope that can climb.

I think it's more about it being a social experiment putting all walks of life together and creating debates online (Including Woke vs Anti Woke) rather than just making it about politics specifically.

I like Anne Marie but I’m finding these releases very strange. Clearly none are acting as singles to push an album and they haven’t exactly created any hype… I’m not sure this is the way to go when she’s struggled to get solo hits anyway and these are sort of killing any hype for a next big single push.

I know it wouldn't of helped it's chart position much but I'm surprised there's not a remix / acoustic version etc out this week just to keep things flowing before an album

Ohhhh that's lower than I was expecting. I think Azizam will grow and be a decent sized hit but probably too optimistic in it being a huge smash debuting at 1.

I can't wait to see what she does! I don't really keep track but do Coachella performances help the UK charts with things going viral off the back of it?

Ed is number 1 in both the singles and album charts with Azizam! No idea why some sales are counting in the albums.

Ed jumps to 14 on Apple! Miley also climbs to 55.

Hmmm...I've just seen the video views and it's not even on the trending chart? Not even 500k views so far (Feels really low compared to Bad Habits)

There’s no way Ed wouldn’t be top 200 at least even if his ‘star’ has dulled a bit and given how much is discography has flooded Apple I can’t see it. I’m sure it’ll update soon and he’ll be around 10/15ish.

Exactly! Cassette, 7" and CD would have helped secured her a number 1 alongside the album! Especially if it had an exclusive remix / Acoustic or something. EDIT - Actually maybe not because she needed 9k but definitely could of been 2.

I’ve added up the streaming numbers and it’s down on last week overall. Sadly I think it’s run in the top 10/15 over but I’d love it to avoid ACR somehow.

The first two album tracks had me worried but this is great!! I’m a little disappointed she didn’t just drop this and tease this as the first single, for me I feel like the visual album tracks being dropped before sort of watered down this release as opposed to hyping it. Hope it does well it sounds really instant!

Surely this is going straight to number 1 this week! it’s great! I’m not 100% sure it’ll be a huge multi week number 1 as The Ordinary is so huge and still increasing.

I’m so sorry that some of you didn't get tickets. I’m so worried now that my pre-sale one’s could be randomly cancelled. I purchased them via my AXS account though so if they try and say I was a bot that would be insanity! It does seem like a complete mess but I’m guessing it’s an AI type system that flags ‘unusual’ transactions or something which obviously is way to sensitive. I’m guessing all the UK dates are sold out now?

It’s slowly climbing back up on Apple up to 74.

Do we think dance collabs still do well though? At one point there was loads blowing up now they don’t seem to get anywhere near as much chart success.
