The release date being the 20th is also after the Christmas chart? Bit odd considering he keeps mentioning to download from Saturday to count towards Christmas number 1 so baffling why the physicals aren't out the same week.

I’m assuming it’ll be a January release? I’m totally out of the loop I’ve been non stop the last couple of months.

It breaks up any flow with some heavily auto tuned random ‘Passion’ and spoken sections. Just my opinion I feel like it changes the middle / end sections quite a bit :(

I really don’t like the remix :( I’d go as far to say it’s horrific.

I'm guessing Fantasy just hasn't clicked with the general public (It's out the top 200 on itunes) so clearly people just aren't interested. However, I do think there are a couple of issues which have affected the overall release. I said when Midnight Cowboy was released that promo singles released that soon before a single ALWAYS hinder the actual single release. The general public / casual listener would have thought that was single two / the follow up to AOMD and definitely would have affected the pre-saves/adds on streaming platforms of Fantasy. She had no video clips to tease / No information on the video dropping until the day before (For obvious reasons no clips to tease from the video etc) The promo and teasing before the release seemed VERY lacklustre compared to AOMD it was the same Passion / Pain flashing art with the pre-save link / No interesting Tiktok's etc.. Obviously, the single may have still underperformed but Spotify use Pre-saves to gauge interest so potentially with more hype (And leaving Midnight Cowboy to drop at a different time) might have given her an insta add on HHUK.

I wonder if she's getting a strictly slot or any bigger TV promo? Jools was ok but I feel it wasn't really the right target audience (Great for her credibility though)

I find with Jesy her experiences and anxiety around what she unfortunately went through has manifested into her focusing on trolls / negative comments way too much (Which is probably to be expected) However, she does need to look at her own actions and take some accountability which has been said already above. None of us know what happened but to me Perrie's interview was a MASSIVE Olive branch to Jesy to make contact. I hope if only behind closed doors all of them can sit down and have a chat / discussion on everything that went on (Which we have no real idea on what actually did) and either put a closure to it all or build some bridges (Regardless of an actual LM reunion) It really does feel like they just haven't spoken maybe Jesy wants it that way but it is incredibly sad given all the years they were together (That's life I guess but not everyone goes through everything they did)

The Spotify chart is so strange this year. Songs hang around for what seems like forever. Benson Boone, Shaboozy, Teddy Swims, Dasha, Hozier, Myles Smith and Bl3ss (All top 25 is WILD)

I don’t see where anyone’s hated the female singers behind those songs?! The songs themselves are very very bland and uninspired in my opinion. Plenty of songwriters write from the heart/gut and produce interesting concepts / songs (RAYE)

That is genuinely the most boring top 3 (probably ever!!)

Really hope she gets number one! Stood way more chance if the video had dropped though. Interested to see the Spotify numbers tomorrow.

Fantasy - My Love - - - - - - - - - - - - Bad Thing - - - - - Tears My Love deserved so much more (I know this isn’t a Leigh thread but I wish she could inject more personality into her performances the video has tonnes of character and personality and really highlights her artistic direction but any live TV performance / Social media marketing just seems to lack something for me although her Capital performance was along the right track.

It really annoys me HHUK should be massively supportive of UK artists. There needs to be more balance of the bigger international hits and Uk artists who don't have the worldwide success. I'm just really hoping Fantasy does get added.
