despite her exploits her music is rather amazing! Not so much her first album but her second would have sold millions if someone else had released it. Strange thing about lindsay is her second album had some real electro vibes to it but on the surface appeared as your usual general american tween pop rock. Like she wanted to do something different but had to play it safe for the masses in the USA. If Lindsay's third album ever does come out I think it will be along the lines of Hilary Duff's "Dignity". A american artist doing a surprsing electro pop album that wants to sound like Kylie but comes of more lke Rachel Stevens...which is also an amazing thing!

her new album sounds like its gonna be all over the place in terms of sound! she keeps saying she still wants it to be "rock" but then you read that she is working with producers like timbaland. crazy

It was always bvious this point was going to be tough for her. Its her "adult transition" and she is clearly finding it hard to be taken seriously. Which is why she ant get more mature roles in movies. and she is trying to shed the teen disney princess image with her music. If she is serious she will keep at it. This sort of transition for a child celebrity to adult star is always tough. She'll make it.

Why oh WHY is Heathers not in that list yet Mean Girls is? There would be No Mean Girls if it wasn't for Heathers. I LOVE the Breakfast club. the best teen films did come from the 80's I'd say. Teen movies today try to hard to be funny and make the teens seem like cartoons.

I go back and fourth but overall I think I prefure her first`album! still love "I Am Me" though especially the title track! and "Eyes wide open"

Love Lindsay. To bad she has "gone of the rails" lately. If you ask me it shows that *duh* there is something clearly wrong with "hollywood" Is it a cry for help or something? Who knows. She is a talented girl. and when she first appeared on the scene appeared pretty sweet and hard working. Now the "celebrity" has taken over. I hope she gets the help she needs

Yeah they had a cartoon for a brief time. I loved NKOTB. It was back in the day when Vanilla Ice was also cool for two minutes. I wanted to hang at the peach pitt with the kids of 90210 and I still got a mullet hair cut from the hair dressers! By the way this was when I was like between the ages of 5 and 7. superb memmory!

What!? one foot is standing in pop, the other in RnB and the other rock and its all blended together and creates this "semi dance" typa sound. She has really made a signature sound for herself with this album. Go Hil!

Stranger is far more commerical than Never Step. I love Never Stop but it would flop and do nothing to give the album more sales. Stranger is the sort of song that could get played on mainstreme radio if people get passed the "Hilary Duff" perception that she just does little girl music. I think she is breaking away from that though in a succesful way

I feel Avril is a total hypocrite also. Whilst I actually liked her first 2 albums as an "artist" she always annoyed the hell out of me. Her latest offerings are just bizzare to. She has totally alienated her original fan base. Still people are buying her records, go figure. The whole "plastic rock star" thing really bugs me to. There is nothing wrong with pop music. Pop does not have to be bubblegum. She can wear as much "punky outfits" as she wants but her music is still pop. It bugs me when I see her on Kerrang play lists and stuff. its like wtf! Hilary Duff however. I think she is great. She isn't your typical teen queen. She isn't a Lindsay Lohan publicity machine. She is only in the public eye when she is doing something. Has never displayed pathetic behaviour in the media. And is generally a good role model. PLUS this is random but she never went scary skinny like her pears either. She lost weight and got critisied for it but she never went extreme. And I really believe it was a result to her growing up more than anything else. Her music is good to. Like, its ACTUALLY good! The only ting you could really pick on her for if you wanted to was the cute fluffy image she hsa going on. But there is nothing wrong with being a "good girl" is there? Plus I really respect her for her latest music change. Yeah its been done before the whole "I'm grown up" sort of album now. But she isn't doing it by lookin like a hooker liker her pears have done when they decided they were women and no longer girls. Plus she is not a tabloid queen that yo usee p!ssed in the papers everyday either.

Their best song is "music to my heart" the record label was crazy for not releasing that as their debut single! fools!

I think she is going for the most commercial and really america should love "Stranger" or "Gypsy Woman" She is still trying to play it safe though cuz stranger is not a great departure from her usual stuff. But Gypsy Woman is TOTALLY different. verging on R&B

I got the delux today and on the dvd it says 13 million. every press release says 13 and so does wikipedia. It does sound like allot considering her sales are mainly just in the states
