Neon Nights spawned international success also. Giving her top 10's in france, a top 20 in Germany (that's a huge market) - The album charted in the UK, France, Germany and Japan. It all adds up. I Begin To Wonder was bubbling under the top 100 in the States - that sounds like nothing but considering it takes about 200 000 or so physicals to get into the top 100, you can get an idea of what it must have sold if it was simply "bubbling under". And if you even look at her past few singles, they have all charted in Europeon countries. I am not saying she is a majorly succesful artist but she does enjoy mild success on an international level (to a point) Its a matter of knowing your stuff really. and that's not to sound rude or patronising

In 2003 Dannii was their most succesful act from what I know off. So the label must have had a bad year. And London is not closed, its still going. Isn't Leanne Rhymes (however you spell her name) katest album on London?

I own the album but other than the singles and "lets be alone" (WHY wasn't this released??) - the rest is rather bland. No good album tracks as such

You may want to look at the photoshoot for her christmas album. That's full of festive christmasy type photo's. I don't remember her wearing a hat though. lol, but...there is a old photoshoot of her dressed as a slutty santa. Hope that helps.

I agree. However, she has all of the material she recorded with them. She brought it with her to AATW. So the biggest shocker has always been, why didn't she just go ahead and release what would have been her second london album with AATW?? All the delays, cancellations etc are really weird considering she has recorded so much material! That's what is hard to understand

Came across this on youtube. Its a 3 part Documentry for Neon Nights. Its kinda depressing, but cool. She was so cool then! And heading for great things. Watch it, and I'm sure you'll agree. The most interesting part of this is how earthy and appreciative she seems to be, she is practicly glowing when she announces that Neon Nights went gold. She also mentions that her new album would be released in 2004. Obviously this never materialised. I dont see how. She was london's most successful artist in 2003. They were pleased with her. Which is why she started recording her second album with them. She left of her own choice

I personally disagree. Who do you love now and All I wanna do for examples were some of the biggest hits of their years. I know that's just two, but she does have signature songs.

Can't say I have ever heard her attempt at music. But I love Paris Hilton's album with a passion, if that is anything to go by. ha!

Staying with London would have led to delays in her Neon Nights follow up, so in order to release music sooner she signed to AATW as she had "more creative control" and because it was a "dance" label. Funnily enough, with AATW we get nothing but delays so she would have been better of waitinf for London and the material produced with AATW is actually nowhere near as "dance" as her London material. The pure irony!

Dannii has had many hits. Isn't it 14 top 20s? Its not fair to say she has never had a hit when she clearly has.

Didn't Mili Vanilli win a grammy or something for their album? Doesn't that meen people think it was good?? If it wasn't for their mimeing fiasco would it really go down as a bad album?

If she has been dropped I'd be happy. There is always the possibility that she has left. Its been romoured for awhile that she is unhappy with the slow process of releasing music with them

I understand what you are saying but if your just talking about "pop music" then generally one needs to have a "nice" voice, not a strong voice. And also its oppinion, some people say Courtney Love cant sing, others love the roughness of her voice. Ashlee Simpson does not have a conventionally great voice but it suites her music. Britney Spears is a great example. She has such a weak voice but it suites her music. If she was singing big power ballads or something then she would be shown up.

Play With Fire's UK release has been scrapped and it did not chart on the billboard chart in the states. I would not worry though as her singles generally never do to well yet she has good album sales. Plus, I don't think the USA are taking well to her weight loss and new electro sound. "With Love" is getting released early 07, by then the perfume commercial will be being played worldwide. Apparently the video was filmed alongside the perfume add - so one can presume its the same? Her new style of music is much more European.
