My favourite cartoon Jem has just been released in the UK on dvd! :yahoo: Though not the entire series its the "movie" which is actually the pilot for the series which ran for 3 seasons from 1985 to 1988. The TV-series revolved around a girl named Jerrica Benton, who by the help of the holographic computer Synergy can project a hologram over her body to become the glamorous Jem. Synergy was left to her by her late father. Her mother was also a singer who died in a plane crash. Only a few people know that Jerrica and Jem is the same person, Kimber, Aja, Shana, and Raya. Together they form the band Jem and the Holograms. They are owned by Starlight Music of which Jerrica is president, and hold lots of benefits for their charity, the Starlight Foundation, which houses foster girls. Jem and her band constantly battle another girlband, the devious Misfits, later followed by the Stingers. Later in the series this was driven further when Riot of the stingers decided Jem was the perfect women for him. Born from a brilliantly written story, the episodes were at teen/adult level because of its superior character interactions, as well as an excellent mixture of romance, action, and adventure with original music. This cartoon has it all. Mystery, adventure, music, glammer and glitter, and romance. If you have not seen Jem! You do not know what you are missing. This is the best cartoon ever made. It is about an all girl rock band. The band is called Jem and The Holograms. The show also has a wonderful doll and toy line that came out in the 80s. Lately Jem T-shirts have been seen on the pussycat dolls, on the O.C and on Madonna videos. Both Pink and Beyonce are also very loyal fans

WOW! This is promising. She worked with Trouser Enthusiasts for mixes of singles for her "girl" album and they are brilliant brilliant producers! I am intrigued to know what this 1979 hit could be? I just hope its a hit for her. Im very excited now that I know the enthusiasts are on board though!

Lavigne was never a "bad girl" just a "bad girl poser" and this episode with the paparazzi shows how pathetic she is. Shr probably thought she'd get "respect" for it. I really loved this song. Parts of the video reminded me allot of Nsync's "bye bye bye" vid. I remember a boy in art class commented on the song. Something like "i hate this effing song! but its alright because we'll never hear of them again after this song" oh how right he was. lol

Perfume? I am a sucker for celebrity perfume and will be likely to buy it but I didn't think Kylie could go down the "tacky road" like that. It should be called "fever" though really. That would be hot. lol

I think its false. at the end of the day the papers said she was quitting music to be a dj in ibiza and that roger sanchez was in the process of "training her up". Then not long later there is an announcment on her offical site that she has a new release coming up

What you are saying about their friendship is pure speculation. There have been many rumours on why they fell out but neither have them have agreed on a reason. I doubt personally they broke up because of Nicole's riseing fame. She is hardly the "brand" that Paris is. I admit Nicole's album has some exciting possibilties as she seems to be looking at a more mature sound and her voice is better.But time will tell I guess...

I bought it yesterday! and so far I have only listend to it in my car. will give it a proper spin later today. But first impressions are really good. Love the opening track "Sams town" and the interlude to "when yo uwere young" some bouncy anthemic sounding stuff but to but overall its pretty samey with the first album in sound. will give the cd a good spin later today!

NOT AT ALL. Yes she is a Hilton but do you hear of any other famous hiltons? Nicky is nowhere near as famous and they have a big family. are any others famous? no. PARIS is. And she worked for it herself. She was famous for nothing, but now she is famous for allot of things. She isn't working with the people who started her carreer - she is working with the people that made her carreer a hit. Her first 2 albums went basically unlooked and flopped. It was her 3rd album "control" which made her carreer. This new album is in connection for the 20th anniversery of "control"

I hope she sings live. She will still be eaten alive by people (she can't win with some people it seems) but she would still get much more respect for singing live. Hopefully she will prove people wrong

Its true but the figures are close enough. Its hard to get some sales figures from certain parts of the world. That's why sales often get exagerated. Kylie's 40 mill turns to 60. And Dannii's 3 million turns to 8. Its quite shocking how little Dannii has sold in comparession! Not surprsing because she hasn't had much success but still shocking none the less :( lol
