  1. LOL exactly. I would love to talk to a few people at AATW. Maybe even dannii "do you even care your label is trying its best to ruin you?" grrrrrrrrrrr
  2. MDNA2012 posted a post in a topic in Dance and Electronic
is the freemason mix edit on the single? I would be intrigued to hear this
  3. Fer sure, its an awesome album! Shame about dannii being out of the charts completly now. I guess a second single from the album is highly unlikey now. No Love Fight :(
  4. I really do hope this gets released in the states. Its to good to pass up!
  5. wow, that is awesome! I really admire you for getting that tattoo. I want to get a tattoo of a singer/cartoon symbol but Im to scared to get something so specific like that. You know? anyway, coool tatoo!
  6. "This is the way" was the fourth single of a flop album. The album was launched with such a lame song. "show you the way to go" followed by "loves on every corner" - That's two turkeys in a row followed by a album. The album didn't stand a chane of success with these 2 songs as the lead singles! If she launched the album with "this is it" and "this is the way" I am adomant the album would have done better. Not to make excuses but I always believe there are factors into dannii's failures 90% of the time that have nothing to do with the music itself. Imagine if Kylie released "Can't get you out of my head" as the third or fourth single from "fever" rather than it being the lead single? Its so important to release the right singles in the right order. "this is the way" sounds a bit simmilar to "perfection" I think. I can't put my finger on it but it kind of does. They sound like they could be from the same recording session. Only they're obviously not. Years apart
  7. everybody (including myself) seems to forget about "This is the way". Its such an awesome song! Love the video to. I think she released the "get into you" singles in a really sloppy order which limited the success of it. Lead single should have been "this is it" followed by "this is the way". She released some dire singles on that album I think. Is it just me that thinks "perfection" sounds a bit like "this is the way"?
  8. I find some of dannii's early stuff hard to digest. Even for the early 90's it seems a bit..."odd". Tracks like "loves on every corner" leave a bad taste in my mouth. Dannii became "great" for me at the time of "Girl". That's when she seemed confident in her sound. Her first 2 albums, (though I like) sound like Paula Abdul/Janet Jackson tracks that they rejected. She got caught up in the early 90's american rnb sound that was circuling. Will Smith in the fresh prince days style/Vanilla Ice. Its most obvious with hideous tracks like "Party Jam" from her first album where she actually rapps. But I love songs like "success" and "love & kisses", "This is it" - those are the tracks that "saved" her early work I think I often wonder though if "coconut" would have saved the "Girl" album? If it was a hit in the UK and could have led to a "Girl" re-issue? You know what I meen? Many artists albums inicially flop then they have that one breakthrough song and re-release the album to more success. For example: Rachel Stevens "Funky Dory" album got re-release after "Some Girls" hit it big. Shakira's "oral fixation vol 2" got re-released after the monster success of "hips don't lie". Now obviously, I am not compareing Dannii to these artists. But could "coconut" have "broke through" and saved the album? Though I don't think "coconut" was the best single choice for "Girl" I think it would have went down well commerically. Thoughts anyone?
  9. When she spins round towards the end in the instrumental! LOL! The funniest thing ever
  10. It is so awesome. So tacky and anthemic! Her vocals are just so wild on it. And Xenomania's production is just so hot. I love it when she freaks out towards the end "your such a silly woman put the lime in the coconut!" I remember when I played it to you dannyboy for the first time and you hated it, that quickly changed though! lol It was dannii in your house everyday
  11. 10 of 10. like I doubted myself for a second. teehee
  12. my ex boyfriend is taking me. wasted on me really. I dont care to much for mr williams really
  13. lol, the version on the hits & beyond is the single version. It was "hyped up" a bit for its single release and the album version is a bit more tame? I go back and forth on which one I like better but the single version is better to dance to. lol. I think dannii's biggest dillema is that her music generally doesn't reach people. Even her fans. Many people wouldn't realise her album versions of tracks and even remixe's, because generally her albums don't sell and what not. I am still to talk to someone who owns all her actual albums like me. I feel alone. lol :(
  14. lol, I see. :) I honestly don't remember madonna rapping though  I guess I will have to give the album another listen sometime.
  15. ahh, I didn't consider this but your quite right. I just think its to far a gap though. By January I will be sick of Public Affair no doubt. lol.
  16. What's this RAP album? I think I missed that one. Wasn't "american life" before "Confessions on a dance floor"? I Don't remember that being a rapp album. Madonna's musical changes never alienate her fanbase. She changes with the times but is always true with her pop/dance style. Nelly has completly changed. For example: If Avril Lavigne came back wearing a pink rarar skirt singing "all I want is your love and kisses!" her fans from her first 2 albums would be so miffed. Nelly has done this, she has completly changed. There is no need to write with an attitude by the way. These "dears" and "excuse me's" we're just discussing music after all. chill
  17. Aly I think you may like the album version of "Disremembrance" rather than the single version. The vocal arrangement in the chorus is different and the production is lighter. Some people have commented before saying they found the production of the song messy but have prefured the album version
  18. hehe oh dan this brings back memmories. I remember when we first saw this! LOVE IT! Especially when they ask Kylie if she can remember the words and the way dannii looks at her. Like dannii was the huge star then. eeeee
  19. I am really likeing this song an awful lot
  20. Her first 2 albums were relativly simmilar in sound and the only change seemed like a natural progression. Loose was a total 180. That is not re-invention, dear. That is selling out. Madonna re-invents herself but if she suddenly went jamacian because thats whats "in" at the moment I would say the exact same thing about her as I have Nelly. She is just following a succesful trend
  21. nelly? she sold her soul
  22. it ticks me off when people say they can't sing live, they won a singing contest! so ofcourse they can sing
  23. Well considering Public Affair has done pretty well in the USA it makes sense to release the album there first. I just don't see why she can't release it in the states and Europe around the same time. The uk get this album in January! whats that about
  24. she is a brilliant vocal talented but that has been niglected lately. Plus her singing style has changed and she isn't showing of her full potential anymore. I think Jessica is the anti Christina. Christina uses her vocals to their extent and Jessica doesn't. On her second album its almost like she toned down her vocals to try and sound like Britney
  25. the bottom line is that this was ment to be a disremembrance Appreciation Page and instead it became a another dannii insult. it's not fair. he is a menace. as he clearly doesn't appreciate the song, he had no place commenting. He ruined this topic
