  1. I agree, I really am hoping and praying for #5, #6 is just a plain slap in the face for a song that good and it also gives you the impression their 3rd single would most likely miss the top 10.
  2. Change is difficult for anyone, Amelle isn't like everyone else so she maybe took it too seriously and broke down - out of passion for her job or low point in her self esteem perhaps? The fact she rose above it, even with the embarrassment of the whole world knowing she went to rehab, I admire - regardless of how bad the situation was that got her there. We hardly know anything about any of the real problems she's went through prior to joining the group. So, we aren't ones to judge her and how she reacts to things, because we simply have no idea how she really feels and how much of a certain situation might've contributed to it. You can't compare one person's situation to another because the circumstances, emotions etc are all different for each person, it's easy for someone to look from the outside and say "oh she's over-reacting" or "it isn't a real problem".

She's talentless, cheap, cringeworthy, hyped in a Paris Hilton style way. She has such a boring look and her personality is hardly complimentary either. How she and Girls Aloud became so big I'm still wondering :drama:

Could someone get that awful "singer" Cheryl out the top 10 already! I really hope the public will open their eyes to how $h!t her efforts really are and in turn have a McFly chart run which is what she thoroughly deserves TBH. The Sugas need to keep up with the front bunch for a top 5 peak and their promo could very well contribute to that. Partying like woohoohoo! :cheer:

  6. Give Amelle a break. She needed time to recover and who cares who forgave who first, it doesn't make the one person better than the other. Amelle could've rejected Keisha's response or confronted her about it, but she never. I'd say Amelle is just as inspiring, especially seeing how quickly she came out of her exhaustion/depression.
  7. I really hope this is true, especially the last bit:
  8. 24 29 Airplay Chart 25 27 TV Airplay Chart :cheer:

And the Sugas have a much stronger physical week fanbase but Britney could get in the way, the girls just need some solid promo to secure a deserve top 5, anything less and I actually won't be happy especially looking at the songs that are likely to be higher than it come Sunday :drama:
  10. N-Dubz smashing was pretty much a given after how huge the likes of Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk etc have been this year. Sugas can still bounce back ahead of N-Dubz with a stronger physical fan base and better promo!
  11. To contribute to building overall hype for the group's future (which includes this very song) and create enough group attention for people to buy into AAG and get excited for the album now?
  12. ^ Damn Black Eyed Peas. They're forever hogging the charts so much so that I forget they're even there. Well I really hope they can push top 5, I'm not willing to settle for top 10 TBH, if they were on their 3rd single yes but this is their 2nd single and its a brilliant one, deserves and should be top 5 at least but competition is tight like you say. :(
  13. ^ Sensibly yes. Jade's really proving herself, she's superb on it and she blends well with the Sweet 7 sound, 4.0 future is manifestly looking bright after this recording and AAG's current iTunes performance. :D
  14. It's doing fantastic ah! :cheer: It seems to me those who were writing 4.0 off, wanted them to be over from the get-go but the true fan loyalty and the future of 4.0 definitely reflects through AAG's current iTunes performance! They've still got a lot of work to do as far as the likes of JLS, Cheryl, Ke$ha and Leona are concerned but they could squeeze themselves in the final top 5 position however. Hopefuly they continue suprising us and threaten for a top 3 debut!
  15. #45 on my 13 hours out-of-date iTunes feed.

Come on Sugas! :cheer: A pity that if it wasn't for Leona performing on X Factor tonight they'd probably even be doing better than her by the end of the week, which is what they deserve, AAG is farfarfar superior to Happy. Anyway, I'll definitely be grinning as well if the Sugas are the ones to at last kick the Sats out of the top 40 with that bland Kelly Clarkson rip-off of a "song".

None of the new line-up change or Keisha leaving has been easy for most of the fans but you can't expect fans to sit around sulking about her leaving forever, the Sugababes are still together and they're still releasing music and they need our support regardless of whose in the new line-up or not, girl bands never last forever and there are always going to be changes etc that both the fans and the band have to work past, one thing this whole situation has been is anything but "easy", especially for me! But Heidi and Amelle have been around long enough to not make the band feel like a completely new one since Keisha left so why not move on, moving on is definitely something this era needs in order for it to be a success anyway.
  18. Just bought mine! All it has to do now is rip up UK iTunes and debut in the top 3 next Sunday and the group's bright future will then be re-secured.
  19. I don't think it's reusing old news but rather Heidi reusing the same words in different interviews. As far as I know the article I quoted was published 2 days ago on Digital Spy referring to a recent BBC interview, so it doesn't qualify as old news. And even if it does, the topic hasn't been brought up so who cares if it is anyway.
  20. Digital Spy Review:
  21. http://images.digitalspy.co.uk/09/39/160x120_sugababes_new_video.jpg Heidi Range has suggested that Sugababes were not a success before she replaced Siobhan Donaghy in 2001. Donaghy formed the group with Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan in 1998 but the current lineup features none of these founding members. Buena was replaced by Amelle Berrabah in 2005 and Jade Ewen took the place of Buchanan in September. However, Range told BBC Newsbeat: "I don't want to sound like I'm being bigheaded but the Sugababes had one album which didn't sell and they were dropped. I joined eight years ago and we were signed together by Island Records. I've been there since our first number one 'Freak Like Me' and been part of the history of the band ever since." She added: "Amelle has been in the group for over four years and she's been part of our biggest album as a group. I think it's unfair." "That's not disrespecting what previous members have brought to the group, but we were signed as Sugababes to Island Records and I'm still signed to Island Records as Sugababes."
  22. http://images.digitalspy.co.uk/09/22/160x120_starsnaps_peter_andre.jpg Peter Andre and former Sugababe Mutya Buena have announced that will sing a duet together at Born Free's Wild & Live charity show. The pair will perform Andre's new single 'Unconditional' at the Royal Albert Hall in London on November 14. The event marks the 25th anniversary of the Born Free foundation and funds raised from the concert will help protect wild animals and alleviate the suffering of those in captivity, including threatened and endangered species. Andre releases 'Unconditional' on November 9.
  23. Fraser McAlpine Review http://www.bbc.co.uk/includes/blq/resources/gvl/r59/img/header_blocks.gif I'm almost scared to mention the word "Sugababes" in case we all end up getting bogged down with the endless debate over which was better out of Sugababes 1.0, 2.0. 3.0 and now 4.0, and whether (yawn) they still have the right to call themselves Sugababes given the absence of all the original members. (For the record, I think the Sugababes brand has been more important than any of the individual members since Mutya left, so quite why it took Keisha's departure to get everyone all het up I don't know, but, again, I don't want to go any further down this road because it's going to upset all kinds of applecarts.) Anyway, the crucial thing is that this is their first official single with the new line-up, arriving after all the tales of scandal and backstabbing, and a brilliant rumour that the three original 'Babes were forming a new band, and poor Amelle having to take time off with nervous exhaustion (and really, regardless of where you stand on the line-up change, you still know that's got to be unpleasant), so a lot of eyes are going to be on the girls to see if they're still up for the job. And actually, it's quite a pleasant suprise. Where traditionally the second single from any Sugababes album tends to be more sedate than its predecessor, this one is strident and unapologetic and rivals 'Get Sexy' for attitude if not for overall levels of noise. It's a dancefloor-friendly tone with an insistent chord that echoes around your head, and probably feels most like Sugababes classics (of the 'Freak Like Me' and 'Hole In The Head' eras) that they've sounded since before the abomination that was 'Girls', while at the same time sounding current enough to suggest that they've finally got the stabilisers on and figured out which way they need to go. Since this song was written and recorded long before the line-up change (though has been re-recorded to add Jade's vocals onto it now, natch), it doesn't necessarily follow that this gives us a good indication of what's to follow from Sugababes 4.0, but on the off change that it does, I'm happy. 4/5
  24. Well, personally, I adore the lyrics, even if they do come across a bit self-depreciating. They're still pretty fierce, creative, attention-grabbing and far from the blandness in the lyrics of The Saturdays 'Forever Is Over' as an example.

They obviously won't be over, people are getting way to unrealistically ahead of themselves. AAG is out on Monday remember  and WMK is an immense album lead, both these singles are more than enough to build the required interest for the album to do well, it will most likely even peak and sell better in March than say January, this month would be way to soon to release the album. And another plus is that WMK will most likely sell well and peak within the top 10 because of it being released before the album, which I doubt would happen to that extent if it were to be released after the album. GA used this strategy with their extremely successful What Will The Neighbours Say era if I recall correctly. So, in my opinion, it's not a bad move at all and should definitely reap results way beyond what people are seeming to anticipate.
