  1. I've always thought of SEB as the only popstar in the industry who could very easily be just as successful as a supermodel. She has that look about her; she's naturally beautiful.
  2. Sophie Muller also directed, what will officially become in a few weeks, the biggest song of the decade (Shakira's Hips Don't Lie). So I guess the video will be fantastic. I'll do a search online for the leaks. Meanwhile I'm posting my favourite SEB songs: [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpB5l5THPY0.swf [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_Nsi05HkXw.swf
  3. So does anyone have any news on this gem of a popstar? I know she's recorded a new album, but is there any more details? Insider goss? I did a search online, and I only found an advert she's modeling in.
  4. Next year. I think it was original scheduled for this year, but she's staring in Fast Food Nation, so it would have conflicted with the film's promotion.
  5. Not really, Jake. The guest chooses a single to sing, or their record label does like in Radio 1's Live Lounge, and they sing it together. If it really sucks, they instead have the main song that singer's promoting or whatever. With The Feeling, they did such a rough job of covering a song and doing their own single, instead the producers broadcast them singing their actual single, and intercutting it with the duet they filmed. That's why Charlotte magically appears in and out of shots, they edited two difference performances together. Each guest does their own single, a duet of their own single and a cover with Charlotte. The editors choose the best one to broadcast. BTW the show is filmed on Wednesdays.
  6. She's wearing Prada, dresses and diamond glasses. There's a major difference.
  7. [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St3zVlaTcO4.swf This is one of her new songs.
  8. So what does the Buzzjack community think about Avril Lavigne's make-over and career change (into acting, as well as a new album too)? She's now apparently quit drinking, smoking cigarettes and feels more like a woman. I hope it reflects on her new musical style too, because she could be so much more than just a punk-rock-pop singer. I think she'll be a classier version of Pink. Well, which do you prefer? 9. WTF! I hope they edit this crappy video on MTV and Emap. It's too long and boring, but I like the song.

The thing with Cassie is that she's not the type of singer to ever get a UK Number 1, and most of her UK success will probably come from airplay/TV, which she's pretty big with. Top 5, dropping to Top 20 for a few weeks. It's a quality song though.
  11. Rihanna in my opinion. But she's still only 18. She'll probably have one by the age of 25.
  12. Gnarls Barkley isn't a British group. Not at all, it's just their first single happened to be released in the UK first, to capitalize on Radio 1's free promotion. And Cee-Lo was already fairly big in the USA. We just never heard of him in the UK, and for some reason thought we could call Gnarls Barkley a "UK first".
  13. It's chart news. And involves more than Shakira.
  14. Compare this to the chart below, and you'd not only find Shakira beat her own previous record, she's stomped all over Britney and Madonna, and is still charting. http://www.mediatraffic.de/greatest-singles.htm Here's hoping she beats Blunt, to become the biggest song of the century (so far).

Of course they are. All Saints were well known in Canada and on adult radio in the USA too. They are kind of like Westlife. They're not break out in the USA, but on talent shows people sing their songs.

Number 2 after Take That. Ahead of the Sugababes.

They should be called 4our then. But it's still good news.
  18. I didn't hunt it out, it's in my favourite videos list on YT.

I think music is a repeated cycle. Manufactured pop will come back in a few years, and this whole anti-manufactured style (Lily Allen, Sandi Thom, James Blunt, James Morrisson, etc.) will disappear. Then it'll come back, and manufactured pop will fade away.

Take That have had a lot of success, haven't they? I think like All Saints, they have an audience. They just need to mature a bit, because their fanbase has as well. I actually wanted them to comeback, when I first heard All Saints had, But I still think the best comebacks would be from S-Club 7 and of course, the Spice Girls.
  21. I bought Scissor Sister's album yesterday, it's okay so I won't call it the worst. I think my least favourite one is Christina Aguilera's or Justin Timberlake's. The biggest surprise of the year though is Paris Hilton's album, which is pretty good.
  22. I prefer this to all the other girl band singles, but they're all pretty good. All Saints are the best British girl band ever, after the Spice Girls.
  23. Your signature alone justifies my comment.
  24. 1) Shakira 2) Maneater 3) Gnarls Barkley My least favourite is the current one, which I previously labelled as "sickening."
  25. I actually think my favourite debut single ever is "Leave (Get Out)" by any recording artist.
