I was surprised I got a signed picture of them when I bought the cd from HMV. I’m sad cd sales are so small that they do that, assuming the signatures are real.

That gig had already been released on cd in 2016 in The Early Years boxset, also it’s from before their most popular albums- Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals & The Wall, as such doesn’t contain their most famous music.

3357 is a respectable first couple of days sales for The Wildhearts, assuming the vast majority are physicals.

I definitely think Freaky Friday is one of the worst ones, WAP is a way better comedy song.

Regarding 10th July Albums, Big Country must have had more greatest hits / best of / live compilations than any other similar act. Interesting to know what the market for another is.

The Motörhead live record ‘No Sleep ‘Til Hammersmith’ also went to number one in the UK album chart in June 1981, and is one of the better live records. In addition, Judas Priest’s live record ‘Unleashed in the East’ went platinum in America.

I guess Tool or their record company think a later vinyl release, possibly with a rejig of the 3 superfluous tracks, will sell more than releasing it at the same time as streaming. I wonder if this was a joke- for years they've doubtless had complaints their back catalogue wasn't on streaming... and now their new record is (more or less) only on streaming

I dunno if this matters anymore but the only way to get the Tool record on CD is via a deluxe edition that costs £80 on amazon.

Yeah, that Tool record on 30/8 will be the most heavily hyped metal album in some time

The Busted album is just weird, you'd probably be expecting a more grown up version of how they used to sound, but they don't, the lack of guitars just leaves you scratching your head. I doubt there was any great demand for the "Busted try Electronic Dance Music" record.

The physical of A Moon Shaped Pool, the Radiohead record, isn't out till June 17th. Somewhat annoyingly you can't seem to buy the CD/Vinyl and download together anywhere at present.

Radiohead's album is out at 7pm UK time on 8th May.

Pink Floyd's The Endless River is the most pre-ordered album in Amazon UK's history, one assumes they'll be in the top 5 for the year.
