Mike Newell, Catalino Sandino Moreno and Fernanda Montenegro were there. The movie was very good, even though it seems one of those 'correct movies' - lots of emotions, but all very confined to the rules of the genre 'forbidden love'. I haven't read the novel, but those who did said the movie was quite faithful to it, but lacking its breathtaking qualities. Bardem is very good at this, showing a sensibility that I didnt expect (since he often plays very strong characters). Giovanna Mezzogiorno is shining in the movie and hope she becomes a major star(which should've happened immediately after the original THE LAST KISS). Expect Shakira to sing at the Oscars - her interpretation is quite poetic and touching for someone whose hips don't lie. The photography by Brazilian Afonso Beato (Almodovar's habitue) has a great chance to be nominated as well. I dunno to what extent this can have the power to reach the top 5. yep its a grower alright, the video is cheap budget. i've noticed videos are looking cheaper nowadays. gone are the days of videos costing over a million.

people leona is still favourite its all about the best promo ie the x-factor performance. the best marketing is when you reach the exact same buyers that bought your single the first time around and how much did she sell with her 1st single HUGE numbers!! she'll be singing to 7 million+ viewers on saturday night. simon just needs 1% of the TV audience to buy it (thats all!! is that asking for too much? 1%!! and he'll have 70k worth of sales...way ahead of the competition. mcfly's fanbase may do 35k-40k, britney 40k+ take that i don't know they are tricky to predict but no more than 50k.

its awful!! couldn't they find another image from that same photoshoot? its too fussy those boxes and colours. the title is "blackout" it has to be darker and edgier to suit the title. i like the tied up britney fake cover something like that....a bit shocking. not a generic beauty shot how dull. i was hoping for a picture of her and lots of cameras around her and a paparrazi guy on the floor and she is standing on his camera breaking it. something with meaning would connect with people better.

she did come here and support DB but with HDL she was touring. the US is the biggest market and crucial for Wyclef's comeback so it makes sense to make it priority. she may come to europe with wyclef you never know but one thing is for sure she loves her time off and getting back to her normal life away from the business. i just want to hear KAQ in full!! i demand leakage!! :arrr:

definately the worst and most troubled comeback ever!! everything that could have gone wrong did. bad vma performance, contast stream of bad press, cheap and uninspired video. no promo work by her to support the single (except the vma). but whats keeping her afloat is "gimme more" is such a great track. its really strong, fresh and has broad appeal not just appealing to britney fanbase, people who like R'n'B and dance too. it can overcome some of the bad press. but all publicity isn't good publicity. what publicity does is it creates awareness but it doesn't generate sales especially if its bad publicity. long term it will hurt her. if your private life gets more press than your music then you are in trouble. she has to get out there and do some positive promo work otherwise it will keep buliding up the negativity. some people won't want to buy it cause of britney's bad behaviour. image is crucial!! especially if you are a pop princess. many people are thinking "why is she making music when she should be at home with the kids" that kind of thing. she may think that getting back to work is a good thing to do something she loves to help her get through her tough times. " gimme more" has been damaged by all the negativity stateside. it will never reach its full potential, we'll never know how big it could have been if things went better and britney was better mentally. if the vma performance had been a success the song would have exploded on radio and she could have gone to #1 but she has to settle for #3.

i wanna see britney at #1 but she is at a disadvantage cause leona will have x-factor slot (perfect promo cause simon is reaching the exact same people that bought her the first time around). britney is the under dog :( i would like to see her deny simon cowell's new cash cow the way sugagbes denied louis walsh's argos timberlake. "gimme more" will appeal to download buyers more than "bleeding love" i expect to see longevity and a better chart run with "gimme more" cause leona should start falling on itunes before britney.

i think it will be released, if the album is strong it should have 4 or 5 international releases. the chammilionare track could be a contender plus mary j. blige duet to repeat "911" success plus the will.i.am track plus king & queen wyclef has been really loyal to shakira and done loads of promo work with her. i am sure shakira will want to return the favour and support this collabo. but its all about shakira and her schedule she is on her break and is only surfacing to support and promote charity work now. i think sony and wyclef will have to wait till she is free and willing to commit to doing music promo work again. i say around january/february she will support the track for 2 weeks worth promo appearances with him in the US.
