i really like it the changing hues, the quieros mas part fits really well the song would work for a live video with high energy and flashing lights, i really hope sony are including this on the tour DVD/CD package and make a video to promote it too!

oh dear i wrote smaple :o :lol: i love it too, it still sounds so good, HDL was not a great depature for her mixing latin and black music together....she did it 10 years ago, and i can't wait for part 2 with wyclef again, i really hope he samples "Un poco de amor" i'd keep the beat but update the production, keep the intro but with wyclef rapping and still have the "ah ah ah ah" shakira vocal parts change the verses to first half wyclef then shakira, keep the chorus and "rockit up rock it in" by wyclef have shakira on the chorus too instead of singing "buscando un poco de amor" she sings "all we need is a little more love" or something like that i think this song will be about word peace and harmony, maybe directed at world leaders that are lacking in love, a political dimension to the track is a strong possibility like the rapping by wyclef in HDL with the refugees and CIA part references, i'm almost certain sony tried to put a stop to it on HDL but it was a big hit regardless so shakira and wyclef may get braver with "L-O-V-E"

it'll be interesting to see a TOP20, i've completely forgotten which tracks were the most popular, HDL will be on top! did i state the obvious? :wacko: the ones that missed the top20 hmmm i think it be these... amazing climb this week!! i think cause the media are doing music reviews of the year shakira is getting some exposure, HDL was played for 10 seconds on totp on xmas day so maybe that exposure generated sales and she jumped overall an amazing year for shakira here, the fact HDL is the #3 biggest song of the year! and she managed this with zero promo, she didn't set foot here cause of tour commitments, leona over took her cause she was a reality tv act, had a built in tv audience over a period of months, massive tv exposure, magazine exposure plus hype Top40 UK Selling singles of the Year 01. Gnarls Barkley Crazy 02. Leona A Moment Like This 03. Shakira feat. Wyclef Jean Hips Don’t Lie :cheer: 04. Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancin' 05. i love her voice on this track especially the beginning, they don't need to chane a thing! the throaty deep style of singing, its sexy but also edgy like a woman possessed! its got so much character, sony have to release this!! its so so strong!! they can't sleep on it, it shows another side to shakira musically...its now or never!!

what she represents is this... this culture we are living in right now where people want something for nothing, even everything for nothing, expect to get money, fame and success by doing no or little work she is the most extreme and the worst example of this! thats why she is disliked so much she has brought this ethos to music she got her record contract cause of her fame and name based on what exactly? nothing! it was not for her talent or that she is musical in any way, another factor is she broke a major rule in the music business....the way her people tried to trick the public by not making her n ever perform or sing live is outrageous! and no one would get away with that even if it wasn't paris, you can only get credibilty if you perform or at least attempt to sing live and show you are genuine, so all this time she is seen as a fake, paris doesn't belong in the music industry and never will, you can't ever respect someone that doesn't work hard to get to where they are also about rachel stevens her downfall was caused by the fact she did so much promo tv work with every single release but never once performed her songs live, she was over exposed and her dull media trained personality didn't help when she was being interviewed, the public started to wake up to her and it affected her credibilty hence her flopping and being dropped

lets not turn this into a madonna vs shakira thread they are both major A league artists that can generate huge sales as far as the biggest selling artist this year worldwide....it has been confirmed last month by music week its shakira, she is the biggest selling artist with combined sales of albums (oral fixation vol.1 and vol.2) singles and downloads, hmv website also mentions this fact too, incidentally she was also the biggest selling female in 2002 with the laundry service era

after new year i think beyonce and shakira will head to the studio to record it, i wish shakira had more time maybe she could work on the track but i think the production will stay the same as the beyonce version, she'll leave it to beyonce's vision for the song

i think it will work! the original has the reggae vibe and i don't think wyclef will take it out of this sound by making it pure hip hop he may update it, i hope we get fusion like HDL, she's in safe hands wyclef (apart from the tom jones awfulness he produced) he knows what he is doing with samples just look at his perfect use of the enya track for the fugees monster "ready or not" quality all the way, i'm sure i'm going to love "L-O-V-E"

some new news! this second single will be released on the 30th december, can't wait to see the video and how it does on the latin charts, the timing is good too, shakira will be free for a few days in early/mid january so she may join alejandro for a small tv promo tour in latin america, i can't wait to see them perform this live!
