Akon Feat. Snoop Dogg - I Wanna **** You
you got a point about the message but is not just about black women who are lap dancers, its in general all lap dancers, the lyrics are rubbbish we know this but i love it!! its catchy as hell, great production and melody, i like akon's voice his tone is unusual and this track sounds a bit similar to the song from the grease film "grease is the word" it just reminds me of it in some parts, this is going to be MONSTER!! the new biggest song to emerge #1 here no doubt! unless its released around xmas time check out this classy piano version.... This weeks chart!
this is the 4 or 5th single in a row they haven't play listed, i think cause english is not her first language they have a problem with that, i remember when WW was out they didn't play it for weeks then they reluctantly added it for a short while as c list then stopped playing her :( heres the chart run within the top30 but they had more weeks beyond 30 within top75 28 - 4 - 3 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 8 - 8 - 12 - 8 - 12 - 14 - 15 - 23 - 30 (18 week) interesting chart run!! all that climbing and falling very unusual but shakira's is mightier she got to #1 twice

CASINO ROYALE
i saw it and i enjoyed it but its not great it had faults, i don't want to say what they are cause it gives the plot away, this is a thuggish bond (think lock stock) when he puts on a tux he looks like a bouncer working outside a club, the film doesn't feel like a james bond film its a better than average thriller, after watching austin powers you can't really take a bond film seriously anymore, there were so many chances to kill bond in this film its laughable he gets away everytime but eva green is a real find!! this woman is classy and beautiful she makes the film!!

The OFFICIAL "Illegal" Thread
some mistakes were made with the OF2 era, its true her marketing isn't as slick as other acts, timing was off too but the fact remains shakira is the biggest selling act this year globally, it just goes to show her record company can make mistakes but she is still strong even to shift incredible sales its such a shame animal city may never get released, but there is one positive thing that can happen as a result of "illegal" under performing it could bring about the 4th single in january/february cause her record company may want to keep momentum as she goes to europe to tour, i would love her to come to the UK with animal city as the final single from the OF2 era

another difference is the high airplay xtina has or had remember she always gets radio1 a-listed but shakira blacklisted once again  i don't mean to be harsh but B*STARDS!! those radio 1 F*CKING B*STARDS FROM HELL i hate em!! with a passion back on track...illegal isn't anywhere on the airplay charts she may not get much awareness coming up to the release, what radio station are playing her just radio2 and capital? we can forget about radio2 listeners they don't buy singles they'll be good for album boosting at best, we really need sony to do high profile tv ads to reach a wider audience but anything can happen

The OFFICIAL "Illegal" Thread
i like it, he has put greater emphasis on the matches....the boxers progress, it no longer feels like a shakira video she doesn't have much screen time, he also cut the scenes of shakira in the ring :( but its still good i like the rowdy crowd parts best as shakira makes her way through them

This weeks chart!
i was just thinking....xtina's last single "hurt" may give us some kind of indication on how well "illegal" may do because they have a few things in common both downtempo ballads and both will not be supported by the artist cause of tour commitments (although xtina is in rehearsals but shakira is performing) xtina did no promo to support "hurt" (she did have tv ads) and her fans and public got the single to #11, i think this will be the same for shakira we have to be prepared that it may miss the top10 anything can happen especially in mega tough december and if sony don't give her tv ads like xtina, but i'm hoping we can get her higher, top10 should be the mission!
