it did well to get top40, many people haven't heard the song or knew it was out, zero promotion by sony and limited exposure, radio1 blacklisted again, the song had little chance so much going against it, i hope sony spend some money promoting her next time!! there is a slight chance if beautiful liar is huge sony may want to capitalise on it and release a 4th single but its about timing they need to move with it by late january which is when BL will just be getting into its stride, the OF2 era should be officially over by late march when shakira wraps her tour

the new promo ad for SEAT features the english version of the hidden gem Las De La Intuicion from FO1! SkESA8zLB1c the sound quality isn't amazing, but thanks to cufnc who captured this at a motor show, but what a great idea to use one of my favourite songs!! i love both version! i reckon we will see this ad on the big screens just before she starts her show in london and on the rest of her european tour what do you guys think of it? should it be a single?

you know after she says "beyonce beyonce" its like she is about to say "shakira shakira" instead" cshasha cshasha" whatever she says :wacko: she definately has shakira in mind for this track with the "aye aye" at the beginning, the song is a grower but it needs something extra and shakira will give it the missing injection it needs! well i hope so, shakira has two potential huge songs coming next year "beautiful liar" and "L-O-V-E" with wyclef, in fact 3 with alejandro 2nd single for the latin market, she may get two more entries next year in mediatraffic's top10 all time singles chart, she will then be the undisputed most successful female artist this decade, century and millenium :lol: ^_^

i went to hmv and bought the cd set today they're great! they cd2 has a HQ picture of shakira (the single cover picture) in the enhanced section plus the LT video is in widescreen format the singles were right at the top of the cd releases in hmv it looked like a few had been bought already not a big dent in the shleves but some action, piddle and cascada were selling well big dents in their stack i think she is just outside of the top20, i hope we can boost her up into it shakira is still not anywhere in the airplay top50 chart i checked musicweek we knew it would struggle but top20 is possible!

i remember hearing her name for the first time "shakira" i thought hmmm exotic name where is she from? and the video when she rises up from the ocean i guess it a metaphor she under the surface she existed before but only in the latin world but then bam!! she makes a great entrance she rises on to new land to crossover and conquer the whole world plus the real bellydancing moves in the video proper bellydancing the way she feels her music in her hips, its so true her hips don't lie at all!!

a few things grabbed me the production the beat, guitar and the pan pipes i thought omg i love this earthy sound i haven't heard this fusion before, the catchy chorus and eccentric lyrics i knew right away she was nothing like britney, xtina or jlo

i'm for this collabo i wasn't sure at teh beginning but ist ok now , beyonce has been after this for a long time she is a big fan and she's proved it imo, i think shakira must have realised when beyonce went to see her on tour that she was genuine and liked beyonce's personality away from the cameras and agreed to make a fans wish come true, i'm sure shakira will have input on the track but i'd love it if there was two version the beyonce production and the shakira production

appollo is smaller than wembley, i prefer smaller venues they have better sound and you get better views, this will sell out easy, i hope she does more dates, do you think the presale be through the virtual club on her site?

radio#2 a listed!! great but radio 2 listeners don't know how to download! and they aren't really single buyers lets see if they buy it next week we are being realistic we know this is going to struggle, this song doesn't have any back up support promo wise from sony (well not yet i'm hoping tv ads are coming next week), shakira can't come here for promo work, its airplay is not as strong as other artists cause radio#1 won't play her she will tour here no question about that, but i'm hoping sony goes with a 4th worldwide single and not give up on OF2 cause its full of uncommercial tarcks/non radio friendly songs

#40 is ok she was doing amazing things by climbing back up to the top30 and holding for a week, HDL is getting some more exposure this week cause she's also featured on a advert for a R&B compilation album too

they were everywhere, they did so much promotion for the 1st single, what more could they do? i don't understand why are they taking so long to follow up they should release the 2nd single in early january, the album may be hard to resurrect after waiting too long, the pressue is on them from the record company if the single doesn't get top10 or boost album sales then they will definately be dropped

i'd put my money on natasha she makes interesting pop songs some that have depth too, i prefer her music to kelly i think gwen will underperform because she now has competition, quirky pop songs can also be found with fergie and the talking style rapping gwen first did with "hollaback girl" is now being done by fergie "my humps", "london bridge" "fergalicious" etc, the pussycat dolls "beep", nelly "promoscious" gwen did have a unique edge when she first came out but she needs really strong songs to repeat the success of her last album, i am not feeling wind it up at all!

some big artists are underperforming with follow ups like the killers, xtina, scissor sisters so this may miss the top10 but hopefully it won't!!
