There was a very negative review in The Culture Magazine, the worst I've read. Only 2 stars. Christopher Hart, who wrote it had nothing good to say about anything even describing the theatre seats as being 'atrociously small, hard seats, built for 19th century midgets.' However amongst all the negativity in the full page review, was one positive sentence, 'Darius Campbell is the most charismatic presence on stage, with his commanding height and purring baritone.' Even Mr. Hart has some good judgement! :) Sue

Just got back from seeing FHTE last night. Must say I was really impressed. I wasn't quite sure what to expect after reading various comments but I thought it was great. Loved the music and choreography, some really catchy numbers there and yes, definitely shades of Les Mis as some of the critics say. Loved Darius performance but I felt he's got even more to give once the show 'settles in'. Disappointed to see quite a few empty seats and as Darius said, some people didn't return for the 2nd half for what ever reason. Would love to go back in a couple of months and see how the show has progressed because I feel it's going to improve with age. Just hope it gets a chance. Sue

Interesting. Quite positive about the musical in general although according to them the previews haven't been well attended. Not so positive about Darius. Not a big enough name!! Was his height the only thing they could comment on. Nothing about his voice or his acting ability. Really hope the shows gets good reviews on opening night. Sue
