Turkey 2009
Was surprised that this song didnt have a topic of its own like many others, considering it was 2nd to be picked. MWqG5kvzjDM The preview video for Dum Tek Tek was completed a few days ago and should appear online soon!

2009 Entries Thread
Hey Guys! im here for the 2009 Season and my top 5 so far :D 1) Turkey - You cant get much more cultural then this. some might say its similar to "Kiss Kiss" but remember thats originally a turkish song and bongo's and belly's is their style! but she does have a look of holly valance I gotta say! Its a real nice Pop stroke light R&B track. But this is only a demo version! Hadise said in her eurovision.tv interview that they are still producing the final version of the song. 2) Romania - You cant get any more cheese then this but I love cheesy pop so this is a perfect song for me. It caught my attention on first lesson. Has a great memorable melody! 3) Finland - Have to admire them for taking a break from their usual rock entries this year. they seem to have replaced it with an uptempo dance track. this is an anthem and no doubt it will go down really well in the arena and look great on screen. Having heard this song along with the other finnish NF entries all the way back at the end of November, it was my favourite back then so im really happy they chose this. 4) Albania - OK when I first saw this on stage I thought it was a mess and I still think it needs some work, which to be fair is going to happen as the song will be performed in english at Moscow but I love the fact they've kept their traditional instruments in and somehow made it sound really cool at the same time! 5) United Kingdom - Havent quite made my mind up on this yet, sounds like an X Factor winning song. quite depressing compared to the four above but im really hoping it will grow on me. Its not the worst song though from the bunch thats been selected.

I recently also bought 1997 and 2003 from ebay from the "£1 guy".. 1997 is very LP quality but 2003 is nice and clear.. but who can complain for £1 each. 1997 was a very classy year in my opinion, my three favourites being United Kingdom, Turkey and Italy. and one of my favourite "native language" ESC songs of all time  fqoAnnGRHIQ
