OK, So I Pre-ordered the Official CD :unsure: I normally download them but no decent quality rip has emerged so I just decided to go and buy it!. does anyone know when the Official DVD releases? would like to pre-order it too.

Im the same.. I'll download them but thats it for me (although I am quite tempted to go and buy it! :D) Ive also managed to get a copy from the net.. but 128kbps only, I want higher :D so unless someone actually does post a higher rip, I might dig deep and go buy a copy. Since 2004, Ive always bought the DVDs.. and occassionally buy some oldies on ebay from the £1 seller :D I'll again be buying the DVD this year.. its nice to have a good quality version of the contest that you can just stick on with no commentary.. Terry Wogan is great but there comes to a point on eurovision night when you're like "ok ok shut it now!" as he's rabbitting on 30 seconds into the songs.

Wouldn't you like to see some BBC 3 specials this year like there was in 2003 and 2004.. Im watching some of them that I taped, the Eurovision On Location shows were great. If you dont remember them they were presented by Lorraine Kelly and Paddy O Connell and it was live from Istanbul and had interviews with the participants. I'd love to see these again this year. Disc 1 & 2 being both Semi Finals and likely the top 10 qualifiers from each semi's music videos, Disc 3 would be the final itself. Of course due to the fact that there are 3 discs this year, the DVD is likely to increase in price. I reckon around the £16.99 price range

2001 Greece (this should have won in my opinion, the best song of that year) 2002 Didnt vote (I thought the songs were dire) 2003 Turkey (this was honestly the best performance on the night I thought and a worthy win) 2004 Serbia & Montenagro / Turkey (Serbia & Montenagro's beautiful Lane Moje stole my heart in the semi.. but voted for my home country in the final, a very good song too!... Up, I wanna bring you up!) 2005 Greece (she pretty much p***** all over the other countries :D although I did quite like Romania's song that year) 2006 Semi: FYR Macedonia (I absolutely adored this song and still do.. I was routing for this one to qualify and it did :D ) Final: Bosnia & Herzegovina / FYR Macedonia (Bosnia&Herzegovina's Lejla was like Lane Moje part 2 but even better, it truly blew me away, very classy performance. again, had to vote for Macedonia, she performed it much better in the final and this deserved to place much higher) (I now wish I also voted for Romania and Russia) 2007 Semi: Turkey (I loved it, his semi final performance was much stronger then on the final.. this was IMO the best performance of the semi) Final: Turkey (gotta show some support for my roots, It may not have been the best song but it certainly was a great performance)

Good Review although I will have to correct you on your review of Turkey :P You are correct in that the head of turkish broadcaster TRT would like all entries to be sung in Turkish from now on, but this is only what he would like to happen. Mor ve Otesi were given the opportunity this year to choose which language they would like to sing in (English or Turkish) and they chose to sing the song in Turkish themselves due to the fact that the song made no sense at all in English :D

My Top 5 1) Russia The classiest offering this year, this song is excellent in my opinion and potentially 'too good' for Eurovision. Good on this guy for returning, he was robbed in 2006 by dreadful Lordi so I would like to see this do well, if not win the contest 2) Serbia They never fail, this song is excellent and im also routing for this. So what if it wins, its about the songs at the end of the day and this in my opinion is great. 3) Norway Fantastic offering from Norway, their best entry since 2006.. this has the potential to do well and get Top 5. 4) Turkey Im actually really liking this one, good on Turkey for trying something new this year and not just sticking to the bongos and bellys... this is one to watch, the guy has a great voice and the song has quite a catchy chorus. 5) Armenia a fun eastern sound that will get the crowd going.. a sure qualifier!
