  1. Hiya :)

Lonely Child top 10  This one is due to chart for me I'm around a week. It's a shame I've not seen it on anyone else's chart!

And of course, Do It Again is doing well here also. I'm still loving it

That climb for Montero! Almost as fast as he slid down that pole to the devil

Ooo Last Time down the bottom there, I'll assume is gonna come for the top 40 :cheer:

I've not heard Dance yet but it's on my watch later list.

    Fab chart! :jump:

Hi there! Great to hear about (L)only Child being charted soon for you! I feel like I'm the (l)only fella getting this charted when it's such a great song! Love the chords in Do It Again and the retro sounding and hopefully it could get into top 10 next week! MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) ruled me now haha. Last Time and Dance might need some time to grow though. Thanks for commenting!

    Uhsting's Top 50

More graphical version of my chart can be found on Crownnote: http://crownnote.com/charts/uhsting/uhstin...top-50-songs-98

Chart commentary: We are back with a busy week featuring 14 new entries and 1 re-entry. The highest entry this week was at no. 61 last week but the vulnerable vocals and beautiful melody captivate me massively and deservedly debuted at a high position in top 50. Elsewhere, the famous rock band Daughtry is back with Heavy Is The Crown, which is a strong sounding song! Gender-fluid artist Andrea Di Giovanni made their first appearance in this chart with a banger Crown, which I thoroughly enjoy. Rounding up is some chill vibes with Mathieu Des Longchamps bringing the charismatic Mademoiselle Tomovic.

Meanwhile, Tout l'Univers crawled their way to the no. 1 spot, becoming the third Eurovision 2021 song to achieve the feat. This also means Eurovision 2021 has the highest number of no. 1 entries in years, which goes on to show how strong Eurovision 2021 is! He Knows jumps into the top 5 while the top 10 remain largely the same, with only the entries of I can never be, an intimate ballad that confronts the idea of "feeling deserving" of good things, and (L)only Child. Biggest jump goes to MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) as the song's melody grows into me listen after listen, and the lyrics are relatable.

    :gold2: Gjon's Tears - Tout l'univers

Rising one position (again) is Tout l'univers. This song became the third Eurovision 2021 entry that received a no. 1 peak in my chart. I cannot recall which edition of Eurovision achieved this amazing feat but certainly not 2019 and 2020 as both of these years had no no. 1 songs on my chart (maybe 2017?). This is a super strong ballad and I think it is even better than Arcade and that high note at the end is going to be the goosebumps moment on stage!

    Chart history: 4-3-2-1

 2. LANKS - The Silence

Down by one place is The Silence. This song is still grappling my heart and the music video is very artistic and conveys the message from the lyrics well. I really wish all the best for LANKS to break through and hope to see more heartfelt singles released by LANKS.

    Chart history: 22-14-9-6-2-1-2

    3. Jamala - Like a Hero

One place up again is this power ballad by Like a Hero. The majestic sounding still amazes me and Jamala's voice is always very soulful. The instrumental arrangement is amazing and this might stay in the chart for quite a while. If Jamala did come back to Eurovision with this song, I'm sure it still has a strong potential to win the whole thing again.

    Chart history: 2-1-4-3

 4. Charles – He Knows

Charles's songs are usually instrumented with quite a few instruments and synths, and moody while chill as well. This feels very intimate and the stripped back nature at the start grapples my attention. The melodic line is very interesting and the song has an unusual structure which features a new musical idea after the second chorus which does not resolve to a final chorus and I find the ending very interesting and unique. This song was composed by Charles as a tribute to her deceased friend.

    Chart history: 11-9-4

:right: 5. Destiny - Je me casse

Destiny is still serving the sass this week! The jazzy sounding is very unique and modern which I don't hear it often in Eurovision. This song should have a good chance to win Eurovision for the first time for Malta and Malta certainly deserves to win after years of hard work! (However, I want to see the return of MESC though because it usually contains a lot of great pop songs!)

    Chart history: 14-5-5

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:right: 6. Max Richter ft. Mari Samuelsen, Robert Ziegler – Follower (17-6-6-6)

Another non-moving week for Max Richter with his Follower. 3 weeks at no. 6 sounds quite... uh... ominous?

 7. Noirêve ft. Giulia Foddai - Summer Don't Go (10-3-7)

Dropping a few places is Summer Don't Go. This moody sound still gets me every time but the length of this song means you will need to sit down and absorb (adsorb?) its fullness slowly. I thoroughly enjoyed this song but as it stands some songs this week are stronger!

    8. Kyns – I can never be (26-18-21-11-8)

This very intimate song about confronting the idea of "feeling deserving" of good things has grown on me slowly, and became the first of the two songs entering the top 10! The instrumentation is fantastic and the glitchy effects are a nice touch!

    9. Shamir – Ocean Eyes (17-20-14-5-7-9)

That falsetto never ceases to amaze me! Back then I think I *mastered* falsetto but after years of non-practice I did sound like a shrieking goat that would initiate complaints from my flatmates... if only I could live alone! Brilliant technique and tone quality overall!

    10. salem ilese – (L)only Child (39-15-10)

The instrumentation is so unique that it became the second of the two songs entering the top 10! The song is such a style that I really enjoyed listening, and hopefully it will grow further more inside me!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 11. Primo – Do It Again (27-32-20-11)

    12. Shalisa – Karma (30-12)

 13. Lil Nas X – MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) (47-13)

I must admit I never thought a hip-hop song would ever be charted as I generally do not like this genre, let alone being the highest jumper this week! Oh my! It is such a tune and the lyrics are just so relatable. I'm so glad it has done very well commercially and garnered loads of attention in the mainstream media. Congrats Montero!

    14. VICTORIA – imaginary friend (11-2-1-7-8-8-14)

    15. iRO – Yesterday’s News (40-16-14-15)

 16. Mark Clennon, Rainer + Grimm – Stray (43-19-16)

 17. Isyana Sarasvati – IL SOGNO (11-7-10-17)

    18. Hana Oceans – Austers (19-15-12-18)

I must say I am very amazed at how this was instrumentally arranged. The melody line is quite memorable and the emotions are raw. How did this get only 25 views though????

    19. Winning Team – Where I Belong (36-38-19)

Another big jump this week belongs to Where I Belong. Winning Team has made yet another fantastic progressive house track. The instrumental drop is very catchy and a good transition from the buildup. I hope they will break into the mainstream EDM scene soon as they really deserve it!

    20. Tayler Buono – IFHU (35-20)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 21. LP – One Last Time (44-33-21)

    22. CÉLINE – Hotel (15-XX-42-29-22)

:ne: 23. Loney Dear – Mute / All things pass (23)

Highest entry goes to a song bubbling under top 50 last week. His vocal is vulnerable and the song is very introspective as well. Despite sounding quite stripped back, the impact is felt and the package feels genuine. I think this can grow even more in me over the next few weeks.

    :ne: 24. Ninski, Sky M. – Hazy (24)

:ne: 25. Daughtry – Heavy Is The Crown (25)

 26. VICTORIA – growing up is getting old (13-4-2-1-12-17-26)

    27. Senhit – Adrenalina (29-19-16-27)

 28. Cmqmartina – se mi pieghi non mi spezzi (30-18-28)

    29. KOKO, Nina Chuba, Dillistone – 22s (43-29)

 30. Motez ft. The Kite String Tangle – Give Me Space (37-30)

    31. George Glew – Satellites (45-48-31)

:ne: 32. Andrea Di Giovanni – Crown (32)

A bop it is! I might consider sending this to BJSC 135 amongst many other potentials so keep an eye on some of the songs in the chart! But seriously how does it even get less than 100 views??? :(

    :ne: 33. Loi – I Follow (33)

:ne: 34. Caroline Culver – Walking On Glass (34)

:ne: 35. Nick Wilson – Lead Me to the Water (35)

    :ne: 36. BATHSHEBA – LALA (36)

Another decent pop song by BATHSHEBA after her successful Hit 'N Run. The chorus and instrumental break are memorable and I think this would further grow in me.

:ne: 37. Mimi Webb – Good Without (37)

 38. Ilse DeLange – I Will Help You (31-38)

 39. Dean Lewis – Falling Up (18-23-33-13-39)

    :ne: 40. Saint Nomad – Stay (40)

    41. ROSIE – Retail Therapy (19-18-20-4-8-34-50-41)

 42. Stealth, Aslove – So So Young (49-42)

:ne: 43. Becky CJ – I Think I’m In Love With My Best Friend (43)

:ne: 44. Kings Elliot – Bitter Tonic (44)

:re: 45. Shadowkey, Britt Lari – Next One (48-XX-45)

This is a decent banger that I think would be a shame not to feature in the top 50 for at least 2 weeks, hence the re-entry!

:ne: 46. Mathieu Des Longchamps – Mademoiselle Tomovic (46)

Loving the chill vibes and the French in this song!

 47. Hidden Citizens, Katie Herzig – I Follow (38-25-47)

    48. Natalia Gordienko – Sugar (29-36-25-44-48)

:ne: 49. RORI – The Same Way (49)

 50. Florian Kunstler – Halbe Liebe (42-50)

  4. Hi Klumzee! Absolutely delighted to see Tuk Tuk there, as well as Starstruck, which is one of the best Years & Years single for quite a while! COBRAH is back to slay and great to see that doing well in different charts! MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) deserves its second week at 1st too!

Hello Ken! Hope it's not too late to send my welcomes! Happy to see more people from Crownnote hopping over Buzzjack forum as well <3 Have been following your chart in Crownnote back in the days and great to see a lot of great entries there! Love to see Monument and loads of EDM there!

Hi Pete! Had me checking for once whether Kokoro actually released a new single haha (turns out it's KOKOKO! instead) but that brings me to check out their Animal so will see if that constitutes an accidental find! Otherwise, fingers crossed for Little Bit Of Love for a top 40 debut!
  7. Hey there uhsting :hi:

So happy to see 'MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)' debuting here  I'm so in love with both the song and video. Bring on the album!

Not heard the Eurovision songs yet but excited for this year's contest after the standard of the cancelled one last year!

    Great chart ^_^

The standard of this year's Eurovision is extremely high and I think it is the best Eurovision in years! MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) is growing on me a lot so expect that to jump a lot higher! Thanks Jade!

    Hi Uhsting!

Hope all the studying paid off! Glad to have you back, and thanks for the resume of some I don;t know, looks like Eurovision might be a goodie. I havent heard any of them to date!

LP is always good. My cruel friend likes to say I look like her  I say he looks like Susan Boyle in reply

I find the Lil Nas X track interesting and the video is amazing, but less sweary would convince me more :)

Imagine Dragons and James Newman Ive paid good money to buy, and there's quite a few interesting tracks in your list!

    welcome back! B-)

Interesting exchange between your friend! One Last Time still has the LP vibe to it but it is a lot more relaxed compared to her previous single. Thought MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) is not as sweary as other hip-hop songs haha but both Imagine Dragons and James Newman have shown great standard. Thanks John!

  8. So far only have 2 qualifiers and I think those two are to be expected. However, there are some entries which I think would have qualified:

I thought this had a nice message and a really nice hook that would be memorable, and that note at the end :o

It was another song from the potentials I have and it seems this would go down well with the people... oh boy how wrong I was!

I was fully convinced anything more electronic and sophisticated would grab some points in BJSC, but clearly not :(

Was convinced that anything in the 4 potentials I have would be a qualifier and went for the artist that was successful in BJSC before and a song I like the most. Should have read the feedback a lot more carefully and went for other songs instead (but that would not have given me the first victory in PFSC :kink: )

  9. Seconded Botanikka looks closer and closer to win but I also think St. Burbia is heading in the right direction so hopefully they can win sometime this year!

Pop, indie or alternative usually get some points from me. Anything related to classical music would also get some points from me (and if someone dares to send classical music from the romantic/20th century period, I might be giving a lot of points hehe...)!

  10. Now that I have listened to all the songs:
