And do you think the local bobbies would treat this as a priority and rush round to her house, burglary is treated as low level crime. By the time they got there, the intruders could be in Ibiza. She was understandably worried as she has a young child, and when faced with an intruder you always think the worse, put in the same situation I wonder how many of us would do something similar. The police are only giving her a hard time because she must have voluntarily told them she picked up the knife. How else would they have known. No doubt if the intruders came forward and admitted it, they might sue her for compensation for scaring them. Then the law would surely be an ass <_<
  2. As much as it looks like another freebie for poorer families, used for the correct purposes, it may do some good. However there is no denying that a certain element will abuse it, either from looking at unsuitable sites (Simon Cowell's home page for instance  ), or just playing games. However what happens at the end of the year, if they can't afford to keep up the broadband. Do they sell it on ebay or the local pub? Can't help noticing the big announcement made just before the election, so to me sounds like a simple ploy to shore up some votes from core Labour voters. No doubt the proposed broadband tax on our telephone bills will help fund this, because Broon certainly has no new money to spend. Only time will tell if this is a good idea or not. For me the jury is still out. I'm of the old school where if you had to learn something you researched it in books, not just google it. Takes out nearly all the thought process. No computers when I was at school, I was at college before I saw a real computer, and that one resembled the Hal one from 2001 Space Oddysey  . I don't mind some of my taxes going on education, as long as it is worthwhile, I just detest my taxes going to scroungers.

I was never a huge fan of them, but I'll concede a few of their songs were good pop songs.

  21. Were there any singers/bands when they first came out you never really thought much of at the time, and then years later maybe after their 3rd or 4th album or after they split up you suddenly changed your opinion, and wondered why you didn't like them first time around? For me there has been a few, the biggest surprise to me was The Smiths. Seriously, in the mid 80's they just passed me by, but 10 years later I rediscovered them. I did this a lot in the 90's as I hated most of the stuff from then, so I started looking back to see if I had missed some artists, and to be sure I did find some. What artists did you miss first time around.

  24. My favourite era's would be, early 80's, late 70's, late 60's, early 70's and mid 60's. So that is pretty similar to Richard's.
