That must be the worse performance by an England team for many a year. Capello, is he really worth that huge salary he is paid. Reminds me of England under Graham Taylor.

With Miroslav Klose scoring for Germany tonight, his 11th world cup finals goal, do you think he could become the all time top scorer? Here is the current list of all time top scorers: 15 Ronaldo ( Brazil) 14 G Muller ( W Germany) 13 J Fontaine ( France) 12 Pele ( Brazil) 11 J Klinsman (Germany) 11 S Kocsis (Hungary) 11 M Klose ( Germany) - only current player in 2010 10 G Batistuta (Argentina) 10 T Cubillas ( Peru) 10 G Lato (Poland) 10 G Lineker (England) 10 H Rahn (Germany)

I thought America played reasonably well, keeping England at bay for large periods of the game. Think both will qualify.

Since the large oil spill in the gulf last month, BP has been trying to resolve the problem. President Obama has been noticably vocal recently in his criticism of BP (or British Petroleum as he calls them, even though they dropped the British over 10 years ago). Is he just playing to his American audience or are relations between the USA and the UK in danger of becoming a blame game. His comments about not paying a dividend and calling for the chief executive to be sacked, should he be getting involved in this? Just about every pension sheme in the UK has shares in BP, so if the share price collapses it will affect large numbers of people in the UK if BP loses billions. The White House believes BP may be held liable for the wages of all US oil workers unable to work after deepwater drilling was halted in the wake of the disaster, possibly hundreds of millions of dollars a month. One US investment analyst suggested BP may have to seek protection from bankruptcy and an investment bank mooted a takeover by a Chinese firm. Should BP be allowed to just get on and stop the leak? Surely the Oil drilling company Transocean who operated the rig that exploded (and they are a US company) should be taking some of the heat as well as BP. Is he being hypocritical, when you consider what the US banks did to the global economy. I'm sure there are plenty of examples of US Companies causing disasters around the world.

In my prediction at work I have gone for 3-1 to England, just to show that not all Scots think England will lose. I expect them to win all 3 group games easily.
  13. I hope you are having a laugh with this stereotypical comment about a small Country(only about 10% the population of England), who in footballing terms can only dream to be in the World Cup (doubt we ever will again) as not all us "CU Jimmies" as you so eloquently put it, eat deep fried mars bars ( I have never seen one), nor do we all go around wearing ginger wigs, nor are we all a bunch of losers. Not all of us want independence, but because of the downright arrogance of some of the English media can you blame the Scots,Welsh & Irish for not giving their wholehearted support to "Ingerland" when they play. Every tournament is the same, constant "in your face" Ingerland are gonna win it this time, we have the best players, the best manager, the best league etc etc......and what happens, you flatter to deceive, beat a few diddy teams, and then you huff and puff against a half decent team and lose on penalties. Contrary to what you might think, most Scots would support England if you didn't go on and on about how good you are. For me, I don't mind whether they win or not. Wonder how long it takes "Motty" to mention 1966? ;)
