  1. Enjoy yourself album - Kylie None at the moment for Dan
  2. It s a nice song and a departure for kylie, but tends to get more praise and airtime than needed
  3. Glorious THEN More glorious NOW
  4. Sounded like trash eurodisco when it was released - I remember scratching my head going shh would she sing something like this. But it’s become iconic over time and almost one of her siggie live songs. The “you touch me, I’m falling, it’s your name I’m calling” is legend. Or the way she delivers it.
  5. Outside of the wannabe image issues during that phase and Kylie trying to show all of us that she was A big bad girl with naughty friends, I quite liked the diversity of the album - Even to this day. In concept, it was good sonic potpourri. But I just feel she’d hit her saw peak with ROL and anything beyond that was downhill, and her energy on the album showed.
  6. Love it when they sing it live (both rob and Kylie) but I’m so bored of seeing it being wheeled out on her tours. I never listen to the studio version.
  7. I agree Jessie baby - and I wasn’t my any means implying they should! I’ve always not cared for David’s songs at all bar one or 2. I was just surprised they haven’t crossed paths yet
  8. I never quite got around the Calvin Harris one : sure, at the height go his fame he’d want to work with someone globally bigger like Rihanna (2012’ish) but off late, his chart power has diminished in the USA and he’s back to being a local UK star (if chart positions are anything to go by). Surely a kylie feature would’ve brought in bigger success in the UK than an Ellie G or some of her other acts he’s worked with off late (Eliza, clementine, Sam smith, etc.).
  9. Oh gosh, how did I not know of that remix?! Guess i'm not the Kylie loon I thought I was :P Thanks Liam sweetheart.
  10. My friend and I (who knows I'm a kylie loon) were chatting when some random David Guetta song came on (actually, the new one with Teddy Swims and Tones&I). And he asked me that how is it that David has collaborated with so many global artists (both big and small) but never with Kylie. I didn't know the answer (well, besides the obvious choices - it hasn't worked out, maybe they haven't found a song they've mutually liked enough to record together, etc.). But asking for my own curiosity - have Kylie and David ever met or recorded stuff that just didn't see the light of day? Or, is it they've never even crossed paths yet?
  11. I came in with next to zero expectations and am walking out with a big smile. it's a nice song.
  12. IYE outpaces higher by 20K streams each day so it could very well overtake it by 2026 Q1.
  13. Wonder what though - a reworking of Kylie song (like real groove w Dua) or a PP song?
  14. Same, but probably also because her songs have become more self indulgent and preachy. Madame X was an absolute mess.
  15. Why is Padam falling on spotify streaming? It's been ages since it crossed 100K plays a day
  16. Loads of my mates know I love Kylie - some aren't music listeners and the few that listen to pop only know CGYOOMH. When friends ask me to send them a few Kylie songs to listen to, I send them: Confide in Me All the lovers Spinning around Breathe BTDYK Padam I kind of not suggest Head at the get go (it seems obvious). I don't because whilst it's a great pop song, catchy as crabs , to me a Kylie song is more fun/pop/emotopop like ATL or SA (or even more recently, Hold on to now).
  17. It's been ages since I heard Dan's. I've recently been playing a lot of the 1st 3 PWL albums, especially Got to be certain, Turn it into love, and the singles from both EY and ROL.
  18. Yeah, but I think my question is - at the peak of her career like Fever, why the touring company/record label didn't think of Wembley stadium? She was massive then, i remember ticketmaster going down due to demand of her shows so surely she could've easily filled up 2-3 dates at W Stadium.
  19. Has she? I’d easily imagine her selling it out during he peak Fever era, or even during the Les Folies tour, so I wonder how she never played there in her career (I’m assuming she hasn’t). How come? Is it that she prefers the arena style size for he setup of her shows or her/her record label didn’t have the confidence she could sell out stadium?
  20. Even a top 10 would have been amazing, I don’t think even Kylie fans expected it to be no1. And the record too “2nd female after Madonna to have a no1 in 3 straight decades”.

I know he's not a Minogue sibling, he just slept with one :P But as his early musical career was so closely aligned to Kylie's, I thought I'd start this thread in the Kylie and Dannii forum. What are our thoughts on Jason's debut album, and the best selling UK album of 1989? I happened to give it a listen the other day and it still sounds amazing. I'm one of the few that isn't fond of both "Nothing can divide us" and "Too many broken hearts" but rest of album just gives me that nice warm fuzzy of the late 80s PWL. My favourite will always be "Everyday I love you more".
  22. You're right! Lucky, her first UK release got that "special TOTP video" where she drives around in a car in Sydney Then, for GTBC they played the video (that's the time she was wrapping up Neighbours and relo'ing to London) Then her maiden TOTP was Locomotion.
  23. The moment (was it mark Goodier?) announcing SA was the UK no1 and they quickly interviewed Kylie! I’ll never forget. To me, more than the song itself, it was the context.
  24. Her TOTP studio debut was Je Ne Sais, if I'm not mistaken. It was quite something seeing Charlene in a local British studio!
