  1. At this point from a Spotify POV, she’s getting a lot more support than her Tension singles did. Plus, we have the sia fan base as well. All up to the audience and the merit of the song. Is Sia still big in the uk these days like 2012-16? This is amazing but I hope capitalFM and R1 get on board as well. Will R1’s ageist policies apply to sia as well?! Lol
  2. This is quite impressive. I don't think any of the Tension singles made it this high on the NMF list. Hopefully it translates into some kind of chart placing, enough to encourage either label to put out a few physical singles (at least in the UK where it has the highest chance of success), remixes, video, etc. etc.
  3. Lostboy accepted the award and thanked her.
  4. Has NMF UK updated yet? It's looking the same for me
  5. Regardless of how high PP charted or how much Tension sold, the nicest thing about the US response to her this era has been openly complimenting her legacy in the industry, the UK chart records, etc. There's a sense of respect, aura and a "we Americans missed the Kylie train" feeling in the interviews. I'm loving that. Grammy win is icing on the cake.
  6. OMG Houdini always plays right after this song on my spotify! lol
  7. Kudos to her record company for getting her just about everywhere in 2024....cashing in on the residency and extended time in the usa
  8. TBH, I did enjoy it from the first listen but was a bit dismissive as B-side material but I believe it's solid single/lead song material.
  9. What I like about this song now is what I didn't care much about earlier - it's built on one simple hook with very easy lyrics and minimal production. Sometimes, less is more. Nothing as layered or nuanced as a Tension track.
  10. Well there’s a few hrs before NM UK is announced right?
  11. Gimme love was about 5mo ago and at the time, wasn’t linked to a brand new Sia album, no album release date, etc. But the Kylie collab has come with the “first album in 7 yrs” headline so it’s definitely getting headlines.
  12. I’ve been listening to it for a while now and I like it. It’s a simple song, less than 3min and catchy for the casual listener. Not everything needs to be a well produced lush dance song. Plus, as it’s the first taster of sia’s first album in over 7 yrs, it’s definitely getting good media coverage
  13. She's been through a sour patch for a while now, she's last decade's Darkchild. Same old bag of tricks. My guess is that's why Kylie did it. She wanted to expand her presence beyond her current sound and fans. Also, as others pointed out - dont' think Kylie did this for high chart positions but more to build her streaming presence by collaborating with someone who has stellar streams.
  14. Cute, short and simple. Feels like a B side but it's pleasant. Kylie's voice sounds strong. I liked it! even if it does *** all on the charts.
  15. Yes. But also wishful thinking on my part. She's never benefitted much from any kind of tv exposure. For instance, she had the whole of UK primetime for Audience with and it did very minimal for both PP and the album (excuses offered were timing of the show, or that it was before/after some other big show, etc. etc.).
  16. Exactly! Whilst it help Kylie's streaming numbers and all, a collab with Sia in 2024 isn't exactly headline grabbing news.
  17. Still no sign on the USA Itunes :( Come on Kylie!
  18. US chart watch begins now. Still not in the itunes 200.
  19. My only issue with this interview is that it only references the 3 USA hits (Loco, Head and PP), almost giving one the idea that even though she's been around for decades, she only had these 3 big moments. They could've, when talking about her legacy in one of the sections, at least talked about her UK 5 decade no1 record, etc. etc. I understand this website/publication caters to an American audience, but doesn't mean it needs to tell a Kylie career success story only from the USA restricted lens.
  20. 1mil+ for a Kylie show in 2024 in Oz is pretty impressive.
  21. Yeah. There's a part of me that wonders why Sia didn't contact Kylie for a collab back in 2012-16'ish (forget the KMO album) when she was a chart force. I dare to say it, but isn't Sia kind of seen as a has-been now (like a Darkchild was in 2010, or a RedOne was post 2015'ish)?
  22. I honestly wonder how Dua's label is feeling about the whole thing. Not that a top 20 hit (Houdini) is anything to be scoffed at, but they probably thought this would be so much bigger than it is in the US. I'm amused at Kenya Grace's constant yo-yo'ing in the 40-50 range. When will it crack the top 40?!
  23. I'm also kind of thinking what's Kylie's end game in doing this duet: if it's to increase Spotify streams or establish herself as a more streaming-artist, then this will help. However, I'm not keeping my hopes up for the UK or US charts. I genuinely don't care about the Aussie charts.
  24. I was most thrilled when I'd heard Kylie would be duetting with Dua on "Real Groove" and was already playing chart positions in my head...and we saw where that ended. So, with that said, and considering Sia is nowhere a chart force today as she was a decade ago, I'll temper my expectations.
  25. I too would want HOTN but looks like the cash cow PP will be performed. esp if the label and Kylie themselves aren't even interested in pushing HOTN anymore, inc video
