  1. Considering K herself rarely talks about the KMO era or performs much/any of the songs live these days, shes in agreement also.
  2. After those GODAWFUL KMO project, I hope they never collab again!
  3. Also reg BTDYK and the Steps’ cover, there are rumours that Kylie was not pleased with it. And in the 2000 Party in the park (I think?), when steps performed it, they even invited her on stage and she promptly said no 😀
  4. Whatttt?? No “turn it into love”?! That’s my favourite on the album.
  5. I always say that the ROL singles are like the 4 best single releases of any pop album. They were some of the strongest SAW tracks and kudos to them for sticking to their hit factory sound but giving it a clubbier edge to go with K’s image change at that time. The WDIHTD video is pure gold. At first, when she’d said she’d be working with USA producers, we were a bit worried on what the sound would be but I do actually like Count the days and the title track. “One boy girl” was as embarrassing then as it is now. Of the SAW non single tracks, I do like Secrets a lot as well (well, her version).
  6. Fun game alert Is there a Kylie song you’d love to have a SEB Murder on the dance floor style revival? I’d assume it should be a song that’s already been a hit that the movie producers feel makes sense to include it, it’ll have to be catchy I guess, etc. It will have the opportunity to be heard by new audiences and/or crack new markets (Sophie is looking to her first usa top 40 hit) and/or out-peak its original position in existing ones. I go with Spinning Around; it still sounds current enough and was a sizeable hit, still loved by fans, etc. Others that come to mind are OANLT and maybe All the lovers
  7. Even though PP may not have done much for the parent album, I feel it's become one of those classics that will forever be played every Pride, at clubs, etc. In that sense, it'll continue to sell like CGYOOMH
  8. Always happy to hear a new Dannii song but this makes "We could be the one" sound like a classic.
  9. Why though? I thought every time she's been asked about touring during the Tension and PP promo interviews, her face lights up? Plus, she's well aware she can make more money by larger UK tours than a small venue in Vegas.
  10. Assuming this is true, I'm sure her label would've told the committee (wink wink) to award her something. I don't keep up with the Brit Awards these days - do they still do Best Intl Female and Male, or just one single category? Either way, they'd better give her something.
  11. I suspect she’ll do Padam only. I don’t think she’s that keen to promote this album with other songs. She wants to wind up Vegas so she can focus on a tour
  12. I also don’t want to squarely put the blame on the label. They can only do as much as the artist is willing to also chip in. this tension era overlapped with the Vegas residency era - I call the residency an “era” as well because all K wanted to do was promote at ANY USA radio station that would give her an interview pretty much all of summer. And then the dates began in Nov which got in the way of album promo (other than the UK). so if she’s unable to even do ukradio interviews for HOTN, for example - don’t see why the label would care. I’m not saying it’s her fault or anything - she’s at a point in her career and life where she should live out her dreams and tick off whatever is left on her bucket list. And it’s no one’s fault the Vegas era aligned with the Tension era. Hopefully there will be more of a singular focus for the next album/“era”.
  13. Oh my yes! The original is glorious
  14. Late to the party but there’s absolutely nothing I’d change about this era. Just bummed that she couldn’t get a 2nd no1 single from this album. Ironically my least favourite is the title track
  15. All this is purely my hypothesis: Maybe they came to terms that regardless of promo or budget, Kylie always has a solid fanbase that will buy her album (multiple copies, even) the 1st week, guarantee her at least 40K sales and a UK #1 album; and that having a super hit single or releasing 5 singles/videos will at most, have a minimal incremental impact on the album sales. So, they thought what's the point in spending extra money and time for a 3rd, 4th, 5th single with videos and all when the rewards will be incremental, at best? We Kylie fans go "the ____ label totally screwed up this release" for a lot of single or album when it doesn't meet our lofty expectations. But the reality is, in a younger arena of Taylor's and Olivia's, Kylie isn't that hot anymore. She'll sell respectable front-loaded amounts to her core fanbase but as we saw, even with a viral Padam Padam, there wasn't much Tension could do. I'm not even comparing it to previous album sales as I'm cognizant that album sales have fallen. I'm just saying the chart run was less than flattering for all the buzz. For example - a Taylor or an Olivia, or even an older act like Arctic Monkeys would've easily re-entered the UK top 10 or 20 on the back of Audience With. Kylie didn't. And the fanbase found some excuse to justify why it didn't (late time slot, or choice or songs, or _____).
  16. oh, I haven't heard the original! :o Let me do so now...!
  17. Frankly, the record label probably thought that it won't do much for the album so why waste money on video or any further promotion. It's not like Audience With brought back the album the top 10 or something like that, or did anything major for the existing singles.
  18. Turd then and still turd today. I only ever listen to the title track and Feels so good. The only 2 good bonuses this era produced where the bonus track Sparks and Crystallise
  19. My two observations which others have mentioned as well: 1) Vegas got in the way of the Tension promo. Visiting all those no-name stations in the US to promote and spending a good time of summer rehearsing whilst PP had potential to take off across EU, esp during Pride month 2) The "gap" between PP (taking off) and the album release was too long. But again, they'd planned great UK promo for the album and had they moved it earlier to July or Aug, it would've interfered with all the US radio promo she had going on. If they could go back in time, Here's how I'd do it: June: PP takes off for all of summer Aug: release album Tension, with 2nd single Sept/Oct: release 3rd single Nov: start rehearsals for Vegas, Audience With in between Jan 2024 onwards: Vegas residency
  20. It's not amazing but realistically, it seems fine. TV viewing overall has fallen. It would be low if this were a Taylor swift show, but for Kylie seems fine. Important thing is that this actually materialises into something (more sales for tension, etc.)
  21. Thanks. What an amazing show. Her confidence! And Aussie she maybe, but UK will always be where she’s loved the most. The crowd and celebs went nuts
  22. Any update on the mids today? Still top 20?
  23. Oh God no festive hits please!
