I love it. It's lite throwaway pop, not the most memorable but catchy enough - exactly the stuff that has consistent streams these days as it reaches out to a broader audience. In a way, I think of this as a mini Dance Alone (not tune wise, but concept wise). DA too still pulling in 35-40K listeners a week which is amazing.

Hello LM gang, I don't post here very often, and this is a bit of a random post. "No" (one of my favourite LM songs) played randomly on my spotify, and there were the 2 lines ( see bolded) in the 2nd verse that didn't make sense to me. Do I interpret it as "You're the only one remaining on my list (of people to go after/get even with)"? I was sick of being a prisoner, living under your thumb (thumb) So now it doesn't kill me, better hurry up and run (run) I like to try to dim it, but I rise up like a phoenix So when all is said and done (done) And you're the only one I know, completely random post but I've been thinking about this line since yesterday (hadn't paid attention to it all these years).

Good thing is these days, it’s not unusual to have a 2 year old song (or even a 20yo song) suddenly become a hit. Ask Imogen heap!

Not "all she cares about" But she's a savvy business woman (which explains why she's remained so relevant all these decades, the longevity is remarkable for a pop artist) and is aware of importance of both commercial and chart positions. So, the record label is able to see the biz opportunity in continuing to invest in her.

I agree that it’s a very much “in the moment” album like Aphrodite was to me, but I’m good with that. I’ll enjoy it FWIW for as long as I can. With T2: pretty obvs that Kylie needed some extra noise when announcing tour dates and saying it’s a Tension re-release with new set of tracks wouldn’t have given her the attention that a “new” album brings. However, if she’d given it a whole new title/campaign, it may not have received the best reviews or attention, as people would’ve said that it sounds very much in the Tension genre. Most importantly, she was after the records. She knows she’s within striking distance of Madonna if not Taylor Swift. And she might as well try to bag as many records of UK number ones for as long as she’s creating music and has the opportunity..

I realised I've played T2 way way more than T1. Whilst T1 had more stellar individual songs, T2 just flows so well as an album

Depends on how many seconds it’s for, the scene, etc etc. Im not expecting a lot. She’ll probably be in the background singing for a few seconds and that’s it

I just heard the whole album again (minus LCA and collabs), it STILL sounds so good. Consistency is key!

I popped into this thread to once again say what a lovely album T2 is. It kind of reminds me of Aphrodite in that (baring ATL), I hardly play Aphrodite anymore and it’s aged SO badly. But at the time, it was all I would listen to and it was good solid pop at that time.

I've honestly given up figuring out what works these days to make a single chart. It sounds like something has to go viral or be a fan favourite (Taylor, Sabrina) for a song to chart. The merit or airplay or top playlists or top position on NMF doesn't seem to matter so much. The Little mix girls for instance have had everything thrown at them and still the singles didn't perform to expectations.

I liked what I heard in the preview. It's not a major departure but kind of almost reminds me of the "single upgrade" that "Come into my world" got on Fever. Whilst I love the original, it wouldn't have made for a single the way the updated/radio edit version did.

It's obvious the record label didn't want to throw a lot of money on this but I'm still so happy we're getting something.

This t2 survivor is making me rediscover the album again . What a joy! It’s holding on so much better than tension did, where I only ever listen to PP and Vegas high

I don't love MOM but it doesn't annoy me as much as LCA

Even if she had the most amazing single, I doubt it would make a dent on the UK charts with rather low streaming numbers and little radio support, so quality doesn't matter much (PP was once in a lifetime, in this streaming era for a senior artist).

Still baffles me that PP just didn't chart on the German chart. I would've thought it woudl've made an appearance during Pride month at least. Are German charts also a mix of sales and streaming like the UK?
