  1. yes. It's Kylie's trademark emotopop
  2. More confident than I was for the last 2 studio albums. I feel this era and her return to the mainstream charts has re-energised Kylie fans as well who'll do everything and buy everything to get her to the top of the charts. As far as the album goes, I've heard 2 songs and 30sec of another...and of course, the Vegas High teaser..... and all of it screams winner to me.
  3. I cheated and heard a 30 sec snippet of "Hold on to now". The reviews were bang on - it had that whole "The One"/"All the lovers" kind of vibe going on. Also, for some weird reason reminded me of Girls Aloud "Call the shots" in the euphoric beat kind of way. Winner. Although, understand that it's a typical Kylie fanbase song.
  4. it was 30 minutes, at least whatever was uploaded on youtube by a 3rd party account. It did sound like a roll-up as they discussed everything from Neighbours to SAW to the Parlo era to PP
  5. Any reviews of the London listening party? Assuming it happens already?
  6. First off, apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere. Pls feel free to add this post to that discussion. I finally caught it on YouTube and as safe as the answers were, Kylie was looking lovely, natural and seemed so genuine when asked about her loyal fan base, lgbt community, etc. She is at her best : most confident, self assured and relaxed when doing British interviews. Probably because she’s been given less hell in Britain than even in oz. I love a good Kylie british interview. So are there 4 parts remaining?
  7. Aah ok, that makes sense I never did like Wow and hate it more the older it (and I) get
  8. X Not that 2 hearts was the best lead single but i"ll let that go. What I won't is - "IMA" was supposed to be the next single, instead she performs Wow on X Factor (in Dec, high sales time) - that ends up becoming an accidental single. And then the whole IMA was screwed up because at one point in time she was promoting IMA in EU and Wow in the UK.... and several import CD singles of IMA made it to the UK chart which impacted IMA's chart position.
  9. I took it as a typo, poster probably meant 90K
  10. Neil - totally fair. At the end of the day, its your hard earned money and you use it judiciously. Reg sales : yes, it's almost 3 yrs since Disco, since the pandemic when people were at home and had more money to spend. So it'll be intresting to see waht her sales are like. I still feel when it comes to 1st week sales, she can match an Olivia or Ariana (maybe not a Taylor) as she has a loyal fanbase who buy albums (vs younger gen artists' fans who mostly stream) so I still say she'll do 50K'ish. But again, we'll see.
  11. I do believe in a 3rd top 20 hit as well
  12. Honestly out of top 40 is ok as well as it’s done it’s job : generated more publicity for herself and the album
  13. Do we believe all CDs have been shipped? Or will a few leftovers get tacked on to the cassettes going out on 12th?
  14. The biggest success is that it's put back Kylie in the public eye, and more and more I'm seeing publications, blogs, radio shows, media....everyone finally being so positive about her, praising her adaptability and acknowledging her success. I don't think I've read a single bad article. If anything, appears a certain section is eating humble pie.
  15. Yes. and I won't say no. But I don't think she needs any major promo in the gay market circles. She's an established legend. More mainstream promo would be better.
  16. Yes. I didn't buy a single PP item other than on iTunes and don't see myself buying any Tension CD or cassette or vinyl (if/when released)
  17. Honestly, way better being beaten by a current chart force like Drake than when she got beat by a dead George Michael's live album with KMO!
  18. This is all getting so exciting! I still say she'll be 17 or 18 tomorrow but anything top 20 is amazing. I can imagine how great the writeup will look = 2 more top 20s in her 5th decade!
  19. I do predict top 20 assuming there's a few hundreds to be added. For this song, I'm ok even it doesn't have the chart longevity as PP as long as it gets a good peak position (which, it looks like it will - top 20). As far as singles go, they're only meant to be ambassadors for the album so I doubt the chart books care about the run or longevity.
  20. I was going to say the same. She easily beat Little Mix when they were at their peak, and for an album (Disco) that had ZERO radio and streaming support.
  21. Kylie is in Paris today promoting on 16/20 RFM radio station.
  22. #21 is a good position for Wednesday. Wow, never imagined we'd see 2 Kylie top 20s in 2023!
  23. For Kylie standards, lack of uk promo is a bit surprising. I understand there aren’t a lot of tv shows right now to promote on, they’re saving key spots for the album, avoid over exposure, etc etc but still, I was hoping for a few more radio rounds, etc. So far all we’ve gotten for Tension is the bbc r2 premiere and the Zane - apple interview, correct ?
