Totally. Most importantly, he let her speak. Most usa and uk ones ask a celebrity guest the question, they talk over the guest and don’t let the guest say more than 2-3 sentences before going to the next question. I loved his question on the UK’s love for Kylie!

I liked the folks she employed for the Fever era videos as well.

I'm watching it now. I'm liking it - he's not asking the usual cliched questions at all and isn't overly ar*e licking or anything...but getting straight to the questions. She also looks so much more relaxed and natural. She's gorgeous, wow!

Always happy for any additional publicity or radio promo for Kylie....but does a playlisted song on R1 mean anything these days? They A-listed the last 2 Rita Ora songs and they both did zilch on the chart - not even top 40.

The usa promo machine continues - Kylie taping “watch what happens live”!! With one of her biggest fans - Adam lambert. I wonder if she flies back this weekend to the UK? Or, if they're saving the UK promo for the album.

BMG probably thought 2 singles and a teaser before the album release and now PP isn’t going anywhere. Wonder if there’ll be a reworked strategy to promote the album w new music whilst ensuring PP is still in the public ear.

I don't think anyone here is putting Madonna down. I have the highest degree of respect for her and wish her all the best and hope she's top of the pops again. Now just isn't the right Madonna phase for Kylie to associate with her. Also, don't think anyone here is thinking this is a new imperial phase. As we've seen even with current acts, radio and public support quickly evaporates after the first single. Kylie will be no exception.

SAME!! I too cringed when she said that. I hope Kylie doesn't associate herself at all with Madge, esp at the trainwreck "look at me, I'm still so relevant" that Madge has become. EDIT to add: I'm a big Madonna fan and huge respect to everything she's achieved in life and all the doors she's opened for others. But she's a trainwreck at the mo.

I loved the TV version - seemed so much more impactful because they've shown footage at the start of the fans going nuts as they realise the surprise star is Kylie. Any idea how the broadcast did - viewing figures, etc.?

I fell in love with slow the minute I heard it and remains one of my fave K songs to date. Loved Chocolate, Slo Motion and Loving days . That’s about it. IMHO problem w BL is that it didn’t have an identity at all - and along w KMO is my least played Kylie album.

Kylie performing PP and interview on 22nd on USA Today show (the breakfast show). So she’s in the usa more or less for the whole week. They really are keen on breaking PP and tension here aren’t they?!

Leigh Anne is an underperforming. Shame - I like her more than Jesy. Anyway as far as PP goes, I’m sticking to 7 or even a ride of 6. With all the goodwill around her and the song, we can and should start manifesting a top 3 eventually!!

THIS. Seemed like such a wasted opportunity overall. Choice of songs and promo were also weird - like performing after Dark at one of the TOTPs. Save for the 3 singles, I don’t even think there was any other song that deserved to be a single. Wonder how the same team that came up with a solid consistent album like Fever followed it up so badly with what seemed a eish assembly of a random set of songs

Sorry to derail the topic but really Ellie is so God awful live. Can’t quite pick what was worse - her dress or vocals in Miracle at STB. Anyway yay for Kylie!

I’m still manifesting a top 3 for it. Summers just started! We have 2 weeks left for Pride month so just hope they play/stream the hell out of it!

I doubt LM have any big following outside the UK anyway so either way most of it would’ve been bought by the British public itself. Also totally off topic: is it just me or is the dua single underperforming?

Random question ! Was just thinking about it this morning… i get that it wasn’t the blockbuster Fever was, but it did decent and sold decent - they could’ve squeezed one more single out it, no?! Those were the days when a Kylie single would’ve definitely been playlisted by R1 and gone uk top ten = few more BL sales. So what’s your thoughts on this? My only guess is that Kylie had moved on to the next thing - working w scissor sisters, prepping for the 2005 tour and working on the GH.

Only good thing is it appears R1’s A lose doesn’t necessarily translate to huge hit these days. Didn’t they A list both of Rita Ora’s new songs but did nothing on the chart? All I care about is that K makes it to the top Spotify and streaming lists.
