Adele - 30 (First Week Sales Predictions)
I'm trying to do my best to like the album but I'm just not feeling it. Maybe I'm a bit jaded with all the self indulgent rubbish she's been pushing on TV interviews for what seems like all of the last few weeks. I agree that the production is quite lush but the adele I fell in love with was the raw authentic one in 21, not this Hollyweirdo she's become

Adele - 30 (First Week Sales Predictions)
The record label Have pulled all the stops no doubt, to make this album a success including greasing the palms of the critics, I’m sure ;).

ABBA “Voyage” first week sales predictions
Lovely album, will be a long seller.

US Billboard 200 - 10/30/2021
Lol I know that, Ghost stories was 7 yrs ago. My post earlier was my way of saying - it feels like ages since they had a #1 album in the usa. They’re not as massive as before. Let’s face it (reg My Universe) - even you or I could’ve duetted with BTS and it would go to #1!

can't remmber the last time Coldplay had a US #1.

Kiss of Life (with Jessie Ware) • 5th single
Absolutely loved Kiss of life, so much more disco than some of the songs on Disco itself. That said, I liked both songs and wish she'd invested in a new studio album versus a reissue of Disco. Let's be honest, album climate is so weak these days and most of the kids are streaming music that a "legacy" artist like K won't have any issues selling 30-40K first week with all the special editions, etc. etc. and the fanbase that still buys physical CDs.

ABBA “Voyage” first week sales predictions
In the old world of just iTunes and CDs, I'd have said Adele and Ed would have been miles ahead of ABBA. But the way album sales are counted these days, and that most of ABBA's sales will be physical, the figures might be a bit closer.

Adele - 30 (First Week Sales Predictions)
Plus, about 6 wks between album and single release.... the so-called pent up demand for an Adele record and the never ending promo may wane by the time the album is out. I'm not saying it won't be a huge seller, I just think we're overestimating its sales.

Kylie ● UK Chart Runs & Sales
With all of that said, it's always been surprising to me how Madonna just had the better UK chart positions and peaks than Kylie did even in the 90s. Of all of K's 90s records, I'm most disappointed that Confide in Me didn't make such a huge impact on the charts in terms of sales or longevity. Wasn't its chart run something like 2-4-6-15?

DISCO ● 15th Studio Album ● Part II
There was a part of me that was hoping she'd cash in on her current success - stitch together a new album with Disco rejects and release it this year to maintain her streak of #1s. Given the current album climate these days, she can easily pull off a 35K-40K first week sales which in most weeks, is enough for a UK #1 album.

Kylie and Dannii: Neighbours and Home & Away
Where's Henry??!!!
-
Visiting Hours ● Ed Sheeran (Kylie on backing vocals)
I get that. And also the personal / sentimental reasons for her being on the song. All I’m saying is, initially I was excited when Ed mentioned that she’s on the record, I was thinking “yay, first top ten in a over a decade for our Kylie, then!”. Now, it just feels like an opportunity wasted.

Visiting Hours ● Ed Sheeran (Kylie on backing vocals)
I can’t hear K’s voice and doesn’t look like she’s officially credited. Honestly, pointless effort Kylie!
-
Love & Kisses ● 30 years on
Of both sisters’ albums, this is the least memorable. (Disclaimer - I’ve not heard dannii’s 2nd album). Forget 30 yrs on, it sounded dated 4-5 years on itself!!

Disco Deluxe
Frankly she’s riding a wave of popularity and Kylie fans have shown the power to take her album to no1 w multiple physical purchases… so I’d rather she just puts out another disco themed new album to cash in, than a Disco reissue. 9th UK no1 album on the way!!

Starstruck ● Years & Years x Kylie Minogue
But there have been other remixes from artists where the new collaborator has been listed. That's why this omission is odd. Rather, why K said yes when she's not credited in what's probably her biggest chance of scoring a hit single in the current environment.

Starstruck ● Years & Years x Kylie Minogue
Very basic question and apologies if it’s been asked already - but why isn’t K credited officially?

Shocked ● 30 years on
Love it, love the album version, love the single version, love the video… love the ROL album. ROL was my favourite Kylie era and it’s amazing how most songs from ROL have stood the rest of time.

Starstruck ● Years & Years x Kylie Minogue
Sorry but the sound is awful. I always thought Y&Y were the band that K could duet with (almost reminds me of Hurts from a few years ago) but didn't think they'd choose such a throwaway song as the duet!
-
DISCO ● 15th Studio Album ● Part II
I'd rather she just release a new album with a new name so can get another uk #1 album! If the Golden and Disco sales were anything to go by, and the current sales, K will have no issues getting another #1 with decent promotion and about 10-15 special editions!

5 Decades and Eight Number 1 Albums
Not my favourite K album, but I love Disco and it still sounds fresh. I don't know if it was the pandemic that this album wasn't recorded in the studio with all the bells and whistles, but the album is so organic full of good tunes. I still listen to Real Groove (solo, and the dua Lipa duet), and most other songs also hold up really well. I think, in a way, this was one of her more consistent albums after Fever.
