  1. Infinite Disco show has leaked on youtube! I saw it, I thought the vocals, dance, etc. - the whole mood and vibe was spot on. I was quite amazed at how less she talks during the show, unlike a K concert where she's at least a "how you all doing tonight?" kind of thing. I was never a fan of "Monday blues" but it sounds even worse live. Other than that, great set of songlist. I was a bit bummed she didn't perform "Miss a thing", but having heard a podcast just now (I posted the link on the Disco part 2 thread), I can see why. I doubt she'll ever want to sing it live again :D My favourites from the show remain the same - in order: 1. Real Groove 2. Supernova 3. Say Something
  2. https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-inside-...ogue-74481968/# Nice podcast. I didn't know the back story behind "Miss a thing"!
  3. I agree. I'm a big Kylie fan. But right from the get-go, I always predicted that whilst K would win the #1 battle, Confetti would outsell Disco. I reckon LM will get to #6, and K will probably fall to #9. I'm surprised AC/DC is still top 5. I thought most heritage acts would fall out of the top 5 by 3rd week!
  4. If you look at the weekly ARIA chart ,it looks like a dated Billboard Hot 100 to me, with a few British artists thrown in. I always have a joke that one just has to be an American or fake an american accent to score a hit on the Aussie charts!
  5. What is so impressive about this is that she’s 6-8K away from beating overall sales of KMO. And that was back in the day when sales were higher!
  6. Yes, "The one" and "LAD" are both my favourites. Throw in a bit of Speakerphone as well!
  7. So true!!! I am so happy for her. So, another 4 week top ten stint AT LEAST for Kylie. All eyes on Dec promo now.
  8. I'm thinking which ones... I really think she does Real Groove live very well! She should probably wheel that out, and Say Something? No "Monday blues" or "Where does the DJ go" please!! And with lockdown ending tomorrow, WHO KNOWS what's in store!! I can easily see Disco going back to #6 or something!
  9. Not to sound disrespectful, but Oz is a big USA wannabe country. When LM were showing signs of cracking the USA market, they were all over LM. Now, they're good as gone. Kylie is one of the few artists that does well in Oz (and who isn't big in the USA), and that's only because she's Aussie. If she were British or another nationality, it would've been the same story. Shame about the USA though. They had all the stars aligned to be the female 1D and it's amazing how it all fell apart. That said, onto brighter things - here's hoping it goes to #1 in the UK. I love Confetti and the girls so much. I thought Dua would invite them as well to perform with her on that 2054 thing. Apparently her show had 5mil viewers???
  10. And it deserves too! It's still shocking that the most successful British girl band in the last decade has only had 1 #1 album :( Also, I asked about this earlier - what's the plan for USA?
  11. They are supposedly at 9, and K is at #10. Confetti has done so well for the girls. I suspect a top ten for Confetti throughout December. Solid wall to wall of pop songs!
  12. I love Kylie to death, to an extent I'd buy an album if she sang out of a phone directory! That said, I just hardly ever listen to KMO at all. IMHO it's made of 2 parts: clinging on desperately to the tried and tested formula, and in the process come up with inferior versions (Sexy Love, Into the blue, etc.) or try doing something totally new, it just doesn't work (Sexercise, Feels so good, etc.). After Golden and Disco releases, I appreciate how much more consistent they are, unlike KMO which IMHO was a poor man's "X" or BL. The only only ever song that's stayed on my playlist is the title track, which, I really do love. And to think KMO is "only" 6 yrs old.... I rotate songs from Fever, LY, or even Rhythm of Love on my jogging playlists with more enthusiasm. I'd love to hear your thoughts. What did you think of the album then, and now?
  13. Thanks Dawid. So sorry, my page hung and I didn't see the above update at all.
  14. Yes! I am so proud of the girls! Confetti is a wonderful record. Can we see it getting a second lease of life in the USA?
  15. I truly believe this album will hit #1 in 2021, making them probably the first UK girl band to have a #1 across 2 decades?
  16. Well, #15 isn't bad. I didn't see her stay top 10 anwyays...so #12 or #15...not too big of a difference. Key is that she sells, I'm hoping she clears 100-120K by EOY. She should hopefully be 78K-80K by Friday?
  17. The thing I remember about this album is - it's 2007 Q4, X Factor is huge.... K is invited.... and she sings WOW to a huge audience, and it goes top ten immediately. Even to this today, I think of her singing "The One" or "In My arms" instead. "X" to me represents missed opportunities. On one hand, you had classic classic solid pop songs like "The One", "Like a drug", IMA..... you had the cool edgy stuff like Speakerphone....but it all went tits up with the lead release that had NOTHING in spirit or tone with the rest of album. And to top it off, the wasted US effort of "All I see", and the horrid video to boot. I am surprised the Kylie Show didn't bring in the numbers though. I thought both The One and Sensitised were done very well. EDIT to add: I'll never understand why K loves Wow so much. It's no LAFS! So very true! And to think she outsold Taylor, Gaga, Adriana, etc. - the ones that get all radio airplay, media and streaming love.
  18. Realistically, does this fine album have a chance of hitting #1 in Jan 2021 with low sales? Sort of like the Dua Lipa scenario....slow week #1 kind of thing? It's just a brilliant album wall to wall of bangers I'd hate for it to end up as a #2.
  19. All 3 girls looked lovely but gosh, they looked SO LOST without Jesy. It just hit home how much this group needs Jesy. I pray she's ok, pray for her recovery and I hope to hell she's coming back. Without her, there is no LM.
  20. I reckon she'll be top ten tomorrow but could fall to #12-#15 by EOW. That said, I concur with a lot of posts here. More than Golden (which was like her LY), "Disco" feels like her "Fever" - good media coverage, good reviews, and a superstar doing what she does best - a pop / dance /disco album. My guess is - this season will have high debuts all Dec long (like we saw with Busted, Paloma, etc.) but will fall faster than her, which means she'll be hanging around the top 20. if only they could announce Infiite Disco on ITV sometime between 15-24 Dec, that'll seal the deal!
  21. What’s to say it won’t come to TV? BMG May strike a deal with ITV and broadcast it in Dec?
