Interesting. Here's my rank: 1. Jesy <huge gap> 2. Jade 3. Leigh-Anne 4. Perrie Perrie to me is the weakest link, and by far, the most generic. She's, dare I say, a mini Ella Henderson that relies too much on screaming and crying her lungs out instead of actually singing.

This sounds like such an exciting thread. Listening to her PWL stuff in 2020 for the first time! I'm so used to K from 1988 I've sort of grown with the sound. That said, I will tell you my favourite K album of all time is still Rhythm of Love. Best 4 pop singles EVER! Not to mention the album tracks are also quite good.

Exactly. I'm not a common visitor to Buzzjack, much less this forum, but was worried when I heard about Jesy. Mind you, any of the other 3 and I wouldn't have cared. But Jesy, to me has defined the essence of LM. She comes across as humble, fiesty and a very talented singer overall. If she quits (and I really pray she doesn't), LM will dissolve right there. Any of the other 3 quit, and LM will be just fine - like Sugababes, they'll find a replacement.

I just don't know what to make of Miley's popularity anymore. "Midnight sky" has been a turkey in the USA singles chart. In the UK, it's always been hit or miss. The song has received great airplay, but is she the seller she was during the Wrecking Ball days? Time will tell.

This is the best Diwali gift I can get! What a week it's been! :Phew...waking up at 4am Pacific time to check on the forums for latest numbers, even if its rumoured numbers ;) As an ardent K fan through the years, even I had my doubts that LM would win. Like someone had pointed out in another thread, LM's mgmt team probalby also underestimated the power of K and chose to release Confetti this week. I remember K being asked about the LM clash by media, but I don't recall LM being asked about what it's like releasing with K. It's almost like everyone had assumed that K wouldn't win, given the lack of streaming, radio support, etc. Hopefully this is a wake up call for other acts' mgmt teams for the future! That said, I do like LM a lot, and I truly wish them the best. Any other week, I'd have been rooting for them.

Surprisingly, I was hoping for more digital sales, as her fanbase is more from that era (myself included). I have a Spotify account but I rarely stream anything. I listen to the song on youtube and if I like, I buy!

Is this the first time K has been #1 on iTunes for pretty much the whole week? Wow! I know it doesn't amount to as much as it did 5-10 yrs ago, but it's still incredible.

In this spotify era, I don't think sales really mean that much to artists, especially to legacy artists like K, Madge, etc. They make their money from concerts, etc. (which, of course in the covid and post covid world is a whole diff conversation)

Ok, I'm confused! I thought streams have been added so far to the mids. 1) Are we saying that KM will get 1K each day (so that's 2K combined Wed + Thurs) and LM get 3K each day (so that's Wed + thu 6K combined)? 2) Have Tuesday's streaming been added to the current 45K and 41K totals?

Can we call it already? Is it a "wow, by a huge 4K margin" or are we still in a "it's only 4K, close" state still?
