  1. Completely agree.
  2. As much as it might piss off those that paid, how fabulous would it be if this were televised on ITV for that last push before sales close 2359 on thurs!!!
  3. Thanks Pippa. Pardon my bad, bad, memory....but do you recall it being this way for her other releases as well, Esp when she had competition - like KMO/George Michael's album? I think GM had overtaken her by day 2, right?
  4. Me too! More Dua Lipa than Hideaway. Great song! Loving the vocodering!
  5. I couldn't attend, but everyone I've spoken to that did, and also online reviews/forums have been nothing short of glowing! This era is so amazing...Shame the vaccine isn't out yet, else the tour announcement would've followed !
  6. Also, again, Kylie-loon speaking here....but I'm quite surprised and amazed that she's held on to iTunes for 3 days in a row! I thought she'd have fallen by now. Both versions in the top 10. And Disco #1 on USA itunes too. Wow! 3 days in a row!
  7. I haven't heard Confetti, although I did like all 3 singles so far. But gosh - Disco.... I'm obviously biased as I'm a Kylie loon, but this album has been one of the most consistent since Fever 2001. Every single day, I have a new set of favourites. My current is "Real groove", Supernova and of course Dancefloor Darling. And I love "Last chance" too.... don't know why some loons are losing their sh it that the chorus is like Voulez-vous. Isn't that a good thing? ;) I so so so hope she nabs the #1 this week. Not because Confetti is bad (I haven't heard it yet) or that I don't like LM (they're quite alright!) . ... I just think Disco is a brilliant record and deserves to be #1. ;) Also, is it just me or is this the first time that even the traditionally salty reviews by the known culprits have been glowing about Disco? I'm yet to read a single bad review.
  8. What were Bruce Springsteen's most recent #1 album sales? I'd like to think Spotify and such wouldn't have helped him either? I want to say Kylie just because she'll have a big physical market and unlike Bruce, actually has a rabid fanbase that would buy a signed CD in every colour just to get her to the top, especially if they know whom she's up against. Are there any "get K to #1" campaigns going on in SayGay?
  9. I'm surprised at Mabel album not being in the top 40. Given the extensive radio airplay she gets, you'd think she's the new Dua Lipa and would translate into sales as well.
  10. OK, I chose CIM but this was so so so hard!! Both are perfect pop songs, and seem to sound better with age.
  11. Lets get to it in the KM'94 style looks fabulous!
  12. Agree. Both records have grown in significance since release.
  13. I can never forget the day I heard "confide in me". I was blown away. It remains an amazing pop song, and one of my favourite k songs to date. If anything, I was surprised at how poorly it did in the UK charts (2-4-6-15 - out of top 20). I was expecting a #1 (well, Wetx3 were at the top then), but at least a few more weeks in the top 10 and more sales. Same goes for PYIMP (missed the top 10). Was Kylie just not popular enough those days? I can't think of any other reason why 2 solid songs (CIM and PYIMP) wouldn't do that well!
  14. Did Kylie ever do a studio appearance for "I should be so lucky"? I am aware of that "video" she recorded exclusively for TOTP (where she is driven around in a car in Australia). Likewise, she didn't do a TOTP perf for "Got to be certain" as well, correct? (that came smack dub during her last few days on Neighbours).
  15. I doubt they'll work together again. Problem is - Calvin knows the $$$ is with newer, dare I say "younger" and more radio friendly acts. He and K did wonderful tunes together... shame some weren't higher successes but that's life.
  16. I randomly came across "Audience with Kylie" during the Fever era. It'll be great if she can grab an ITV special during the holiday season. Although, I firmly believe that SBIT did its job (of raising her profile and good will), and she should use this good will to record and promote a new studio album pronto.
  17. Late to this thread, but I'm still surprised that it got to #1 and managed 3 weeks in the top 10. That's incredible when stars of her era are struggling with a 2nd week in the charts with original material (no, not just referring to Madonna). My guess is that it'll fall out of the top 40 soon but stay in the 40-80 region for a while and be the slow burner. IMHO, the success of SBIT sets her up well for the next studio album. Hopefully we see it in 2020 and not 2023 or something!
  18. I think ITB had the better video and all, but Dancing seems so much more Kylie and real. ITB felt a bit forced.
  19. Fabulous album.... you're right, it struck me now that the album didn't hit #1 on both sides of the pond. Also, Dirrty didn't even make US Top 40! My favourite song on this album was "get mine get yours".
  20. Oh yes, "Life for rent" is a gem of a pop album. I like it more than the debut. I was a bit disappointed by "safe trip home" (2008) save for "Grafton Street" and "3 little Gods" but the "Girl who got away" made up for it quite well.
  21. This was the last weekend of her N American tour. BOY, she was amazing! She was in fine form, she looks amazing and really comes across as down to earth and polite. Oh, and did I mention she's got an amazing voice, live as well. My highlights were "End of night" (I didn't think it was popular enough that she'd perform it) and "Take my hand". And of course, the house came down when she sang "here with me". It sounds as amazing as it did back in 2000 when I first heard it. As expected, "White flag" and "thank you" got the best responses. I hadn't heard her new album so had to google-lyrics as she was singing them ;) I wasn't too impressed with Hurricanes and another ballad (she said she wrote it for her son) but "Walk you home" is dreamy and really catchy, I loved that. I spotify'd it on returning home. Overall, several ardent Dido fans in the crowd that knew the lyrics to all her songs, very positive energy in the room. I'm so glad I went!!
  22. 12K seems challenging to close in 2 days. Do we know how many streaming sales got added at the last minute, to get an idea?
