  1. I don't see a major uptick in the streams though? It's been averaging about 120K every day before and after SCD.
  2. This is such amazing news! This song deserves all the continued success!
  3. Kylie’s profile is very high right now, so who knows? It could reach a new peak as well
  4. Maybe they knew well in advance that this wouldn't be a 2xP, 3xP and didn't bother pressing so many copies? The big goal for them with this one was to push the record books and the tour?
  5. Starting one for T3 based on comments she made on the chat with Rylan that there maybe something in the works. What would potentially make the T3 cut? - 2 songs with Joel curry - remixes of songs from T1 and T2 Would love to hear other people’s thoughts. She may release this closer to the US dates , like a spring release
  6. for a fairly low key release in the US, this is quite good. Didn't PP make it to 32 or 28, or something?
  7. Vegas High and PP are the 2 reasons I go back to Tension. VH is so basic yet so amazing
  8. I thought I was the only one in the minority but looks like a lot of people seem to like T2 judging by the poll results
  9. Yes. And I don't think they'll feel too bad if the next "single" from T2 doesn't get radio airplay or sales.
  10. Guys, honestly - the record label or Kylie herself only ever used T2 as a vehicle to sell tour tickets, and in the process get a no1 album. All the suggestions here are great but I'm sure Kylie and team will save all of the promos and colour discs for the next PROPER album. It would be a waste to spend it on T2. T2 did its job: concert tickets selling. She moved up in the record books. All parties happy.
  11. Tension 2 WITHOUT a DOUBT! All cohesive, all foot stomping tunes. I even love diamonds now!!
  12. A little late to the party but I’m really not sure what’s there to be ashamed of. This is a smart businesswoman that we’re talking about. Instead of releasing a deluxe edition, which is four or five bonus tracks, which would’ve also meant the same fate on the chart, she instead released it as a brand new album used it to sell her tour tickets, got a number one album and in the process made headlines with “record breaking 10th no1”. No one is going to talk about the chart run of an album or how it did on week two other than Kylie fans.
  13. OMG, 8 out of 13 goes to T2! Padam Padam vs. Lights Camera Action Hold On to Now vs. Taboo Things We Do for Love vs. Someone for Me Tension vs. Good as Gone One More Time vs. Kiss Bang Bang You Still Get Me High vs. Diamonds Hands vs. Hello Green Light vs. Dance to the Music Vegas High vs. Shoulda Left Ya 10 Out of 10 vs. Edge of Saturday Night Story vs. My Oh My Love Train vs. Midnight Ride Just Imagine vs. Dance Alone
  14. I hear you. But I'm just not sure what ELSE she and her label can do that can have the right kind of impact. She's done radio interviews, TV spots, she got prime coverage on BRITS, Audience with..... these days, even radio spots and A-lists or no1 position on NMF doesn't mean anything. Look at the Little Mix girls. It's a mystery what makes a chart hit, but I don't think promoting on 10 more UK radio shows or TV appearances will help much. For example, even on an itunes album chart (that probably has dozens of sales at most), even a BRITS performance couldn't send any of her albums back into the top 10. Of course we Kylie fans had our excuses for that (as we do when most of her promo's don't result in the chart success we were hoping for).
  15. We could post-mortem all we want about T2, distribution problems, blah blah.....but at the end of the day, if she was going to give us an updated Tension, rather than a Guest list or some add-on, I'm glad she gave us a new album and got a no1 in the process. For someone dubbed "singing budgie" and puppet 37 years ago....to retain an ardent fan base and still be serving up hot hits in 2024 is SOMETHING. And breaking records in the process.
  16. Exactly!! No one, absolutely no one other than chart loons or Kylie fans care about the chart run. All the record books care about is the peak chart position. And Kylie has always been competitive (in the most humble way) and wants to milk it as much as she can. To have 5 no1s after the age of 50 in this ageist world is remarkable.
  17. I think that statement was misrepresented in the article. I read it as purely more cash from a streaming perspective. But I still say uk is her strongest as it’s not just the streaming, but the other channels od revenue such as tour tickets, the umpteen vinyl and CD sales, etc which she doesn’t have in the USA. At least I’m glad this article didn’t gloat about what a global smash PP was.
  18. Whilst Tension is a better song for me, no denying that DA and the Sia name has made her connect to a biradar audience. I still hear DA at the supermarket and the gym in between Taylor and Sabrina. Plus, it kind of looks like those inoffensive tunes that’ll get 40-50K streams a day for a long long time . Kylie is a smart businesswoman if nothing else.
  19. I agree here. Also, as we’ve seen with a lot of artists (the little mix girls come to mind, with their solo songs which were also decent enough pop songs), a paid top placing on NMF and radio A list doesn’t seem to help much. Unless you’re a Taylor or Sabrina, and let’s be honest - Kylie can never reach that level now. I’d rather she be top priority wirh a smaller label than another small fish in a big label. Isn’t that why she split from Rocnation also, after the KMO fiasco?
  20. Doesn't have to be Spring 2026. For all we know, it could happen next year itself (like I posted earlier - Fever campaign started as the OANLT tour wrapped up)
  21. I prefer GAG to this but this one sounds more mainstream. It’s very hands in the air.
  22. Both but I’m kind of a bit bored of emotopop Kylie now as it’s kind of sounding a bit forced (as seen on HOTN). I think she peaked with emotopop with The One and ATL.
  23. I see they’re flogging HMV exclusive yellow vinyls now!
