  1. Very. In today's world, it would still be amazing. But for a 56yo with zero to minimal streaming and mainstream radio support, this is beyond amazing! She's now scored (well, assume it stays this way) the same amount of #1s in the last 6 yrs than she did the first 30 yrs of her career!
  2. 950 streams seems low but not shocking!
  3. Is this the 1st Kylie album in a while that hasn’t hit no1 on iTunes yet? I know iTunes doesn’t amount to much these days, but just surprised
  4. Overall the album is really nice, proper dancefloor songs. Only nitpicky complaint might be that she sounds a bit more nasal than usual. But the snippets all sound really good. I just realised the snippets are like 1min 30sec so that's more than half the song! Oh no, why? :(
  5. OK, so I caved in and heard the clips. OH MY GOD "Someone for me" is FABULOUS!! 1st listen of that 1min snippet and it's such an earworm. So anthemic. She should record a whole album with Lostboy!
  6. BMG had quoted her biggest streaming numbers are from the USA. That’s all. It was an interesting article about why they still want to do their best to break in the states and continue USA promotion.
  7. I'm sorry, what comment was misleading? It's obvious maths. Even if she can reach out to 0.001% of its population, it's still a sizeable number.
  8. Good points. 1) My guess reg album buzz is that her label isn't seeing this as a big campaign, but let's just milk the cow a bit drier with some new songs (to go with the tour announcement). I guess she's not focusing on the UK as the concerts have sold out and she probably knows a top 3 if not a no1 album is in the bag. 2) USA = like you said ,she has a tour to sell but also get her name out so streaming numbers can go up. Didn't her label person say that the US now accounts for most of her streams?! The market she's least popular in compared to EU and UK.
  9. There are now articles appearing about Taylor's surprise album. However, she leaves or supposedly leaves so many Easter eggs it's impossible to know if it's true or not. When the records are written at the end of the day, headline will be "Kylie's 10th number one", regardless of whether it falls to no4 or no89 the following week. Didn't both Snow Patrol and London Grammar (no 3 album) totally free fall on week 2?
  10. I doubt either Joe or Shawn would be a competitor Kylie’s various formats and fanbase. Taylor’s concert doesn’t resume till early Nov though?!
  11. Both Seattle and Vancouver have a LOT of empty seats :( I hope she doesn't cancel.
  12. I was thinking the same. She sure is with the times, our girl. No wonder she’s been around and this successful for this long.
  13. My holy trinity: 1) over dreaming 2) EY 3) wouldn’t change a thing It’s amazing that how, for an album that’s gets lukewarm responses from her fans today, a lot of us seem to love over-dreaming.
  14. lol what DID Orville do to this man??!!
  15. More than a year later, and I still absolutely love it. By comparison, I’d gotten bored of Head about 6mo into release.
  16. Every single person I know is unable to get tix for San Fran as well. I reckon she’ll add a 2nd date there
  17. Totally agree. Unless there's some massive random promo planned.
  18. They’ll do enough to get it to uk no1 but this really has been a vehicle to promote the tour so I don’t see them releasing new singles and stuff after LCA. Kylie herself will be busy with tour prep and I’m sure even she won’t have time for more promo (unless a bit for usa).
  19. I can’t wait for Good as gone. It’s giving me HOTN meets OANLT vibes.

Difference here being that Coldplay kind of played to the american taste. Songs like "Hymn for the weekend" are as American as they come. At least acts like Blur and Oasis didn't sell out to the American taste (granted, Coldplay sensed the commercial benefits of selling out)
  21. I saw that and loved it. Capital do love Kylie!

Interesting how they continue to keep their albums no1 streak alive in the UK but haven’t had a US no1 album in a decade (and missed with the last 3 albums).
  23. So agree! I don’t know why they’re pushing it
