  1. This. But also kind of reminds of me of Madonna in 2012 during the tour announcement and mdna album. I think both Kylie and her label are very happy the tour is selling well, and she's getting enough spots on radio and TV to promote the tour (in the guise of talking about the new song and album). Plus, I don't know how invested the label is in this album, the fact that its a sequel and not a new campaign/sound says it all.
  2. The YT views seem to be ticking along nicely. Should easily hit 600K in the next few minutes which is quite good!
  3. 582K YouTube views on YT. 80K less than EOSN’s lifetime!
  4. About 367K now after a full 24 hours!
  5. I was thinking it would be at least top ten. My only consolation is that many times, the #1 or #2 listed songs don't make the chart. So a bad placing position doesn't mean much
  6. TBH, and I hope I don't jinx it with my cockiness, but she has an established UK fanbase of rich middle aged gays that'll lap up all the formats and ensure the album has big opening numbers .... so in short, I feel very confident of a UK no1. I'm always on the fence as far as Australia goes. Her last few albums have all hit Oz no1 but as a country, as much as they now love and promote Kylie, the chart predictions always seem a bit tricky
  7. Where did you hear it? Still not found the full song, pls mesg me with the link if it's floating around somewhere, thanks in advance. I agree it's an improvement over MOM. Big big improvement but I still think EOSN is something else! It's a kylie-beast mode we've never seen before!
  8. I'm expecting a top 5 on UK NMF as well, here's hoping! It's kind of interesting - Kylie's songs generally tend to chart higher in the UK than Oz, but she seems to get higher placements on Aus/NZ NMFs! Already up to 15!!
  9. I caved in and heard it. I think I like the verses more than the chorus! The voice delivery again is fierce and also kind of playful in a 90s Madonna kind of way. It's no Padam (but which one is?). The song is catchy and commercial enough that had this been recorded by a "flavour of the month" artist with streaming numbers and radio support, I can easily see this going UK top 3. Given the "limitations" an artist like Kylie faces, I still say with the right promo, NMF placings and physical release and all, this song still has top 20 potential. Again, no Padam (I don't see it going viral) but it's catchy and fun.
  10. I'm still undecided. Very unfair for me to jump to conclusions based on a few clips we've seen/heard so far. But even with a the 10-15 sec music snippet of Padam, I was way way more excited than I am for LCA. Time will tell, literally 2 days'ish to go.
  11. If LCA were released by a 20yo whom R1 would playlist in a heartbeat, then yes. But age and radio airplay are against Kylie, sadly.
  12. Oh gosh, absolutely living for the album. Yes, it's not progressive or something but so pleasant, and the vocals are amazing. My standouts are so far are Santa Fe, Into Gold (wow) and Fakest Bitch.
  13. I was one of those for "EOSN" - thinking it'll be a top 40 hit. But listening to LCA, I have ZERO expectations for the song. Sounds like generic eurodance fluff in the "Prada" vein, that's all over radio these days. At this point, I'm just hoping the middle aged rich gays show up and fork up when she releases 178 variants of Tension II and send the album to no1.
  14. I doubt blessed Madonna’s album will even make top 5. I understand about Ragnbone man and ABBA. But Kylie’s label aren't fools when it comes to album releases: they’re well aware thar Kylie’s fans are loyal, are collectionists and have enough disposable income to buy a few variants. So depending on how the temperature heats up, I’m sure they’ll chuck in a few extra variants on D day. As others have pointed out here and in other forums, obviously Kylie and team didn’t have enough of a new sound for this to warrant a new album. But songs seemed good enough not to throw away so hey, let’s make this a mini album event. I haven’t seen the competition list for that week but safe to say she’s got the uk no1 album in the bag if it’s a normal week wirh minimal competition. No doubt she can safely clear 30K as others have pointed.
  15. I heard a vocal snippet on tiktok and at first listen - seems to be in the same genre as MOM. Kind of light weight tacky euro disco. I may love it later but unless there’s a viral moment or something, I don’t see this making much of noise. Still, I’m not complaining as 37+ years after falling in love with her, I’m still getting quality new music. How many fans get to say that?!
  16. We got more than a 3 day heads-up for Padam so I doubt its happening this Friday Either way, she better release the album before end Oct if she wants better chances at a uk #1 album.
  17. If this is a brand new campaign and all, I'm sure she'd want to be in the R2 studios in person to announce it, etc. and afaik, she's in Singapore this weekend at the grand prix event.
  18. Love both songs for different reasons.
  19. Mirwais and Cathy are so 2000. Please don't bother Kylie!
  20. I cannot wait!! She's found her stride!
  21. That is true - I was quite surprised and impressed to even see some of the Fever singles getting 40-50K streams a day. (of course Head will always be her biggest).
