I don’t think they are. Like dance alone, they shot a video and pushed the song to radio and did their bit of social media awareness and from this point on, they’ll be happy with slow trickle of streams perhaps. I can think of a 2nd round promo when the Raye remix drops (I’m sure it’ll happen) but I doubt it’ll do much behind few more streams.

I’m sure it’s gotten more streams than her 500th most streamed song at 150K.

It received great reviews and was blocked by wet, wet, wet “love is all around“. I don’t know if it was a serious contender for number one, I can’t remember what the gap was between number one and number two. But, I think in 1994, whilst she was trying to establish herself as a dance artist., There’s still was that issue of having a bridge in the fan base. So regardless of the Meagher of this song, I don’t know if a song could’ve been a number one hit in 1994.

I don't even think I was this excited when I heard padam Padam as that had a bit of a novelty song feel to it. But this has "real deal" written all over it, almost reminds me of my reaction after hearing Confide in me, and the Fever singles.

If the main business lever is streaming numbers, then I wish Kylie the best and hope she gets more streams from this song. Which would mean longer time on the Uk charts and hopefully some exposure in the USA

It’s one thing that it’s an avg song but seeing as they were going for commercial, it baffles me why she chose 2 artists with rather poor fanbases themselves.(I’m not commenting on talent or anything, just saying in the larger scheme of things, they are both nobodies). if she’d asked Raye and Ella Henderson or Becky would’ve at least resulted in more streams or chart positions (understanding fully well that raye and Ella would want to duet with her).

1.156M views in less than 4 days. That is quite impressive! Should nicely tick to 2M by end of the week.

I do think it'll be a top 50 hit but like others have said, depends on playlisting (will they focus more on the fact that it's TBM or focus on the fact that it's a heritage act Kylie, could go either way) and how Warner has planned promotion and release strategy for the song (higher chart placings or slow burn). Is the UK TBM's biggest market also?
