"Outta My Head" definitely sounds great, but it's not my favourite. I think people are shooting their load because it's a hot uptempo, LOL. It should definitely be a single at some point (probably release #2) as the world needs to see a new side to Leona. Although it's not my favourite clip, this would've worked so much better as the lead single. It's seriously aggrivating how "Happy" was released as the lead, as while it's good, it just doesn't cut it. Anyway, "Can't Breathe", "My Hands", "Naked" & "Lost Then Found" sound like they'll be my favourites. The whole record sounds really strong, though. I can't name a song I didn't like (though I'm sure that'll change). I'm definitely anticipating this a lot more now, as I was worried after hearing "Happy" (and I do actually like the song).
  2. I agree completely. I love the fact that she's releasing something a little risque. Everyone was expecting her to come back with an uptempo, but this track is so addictive, I've fallen in love with it. The production is great. I'm seeing a real epic video.
  3. Totally. "Empire State of Mind" has somewhat killed it's performance. I still think it'll be a success in the long run, at least, I hope so because it certainly deserves it.
  4. Sounds like it could've been apart of "Shock Value", but I'm still feeling the track.

Love the video. I'm still not sold on "Happy" being lead single, but the video definitely has an artistic feel to it and adds more the song.

Based on the material we've heard so far (including "Happy"), "I Got You" should've been the lead single, without a doubt. Strong track with a great melody.

She's stunning in person, and such a beautiful human being. I asked her if she could work on more urban leaning music, and she seemed all for that idea! LOL. I'm glad I missed the horrifying attack. It's lucky she wasn't more seriously hurt. Onto the book, literally half of the book is compiled of pictures. For real!

    See you there - LOL.
  9. "Candy Bling" remix is out, and it's hot. The beat is a little recycled, but it's almost a completely new song.
  10. Hm, I didn't necessarily fault the label, even though I do think it was a mistake to release "I Want to Know What Love Is". I think it was wrong for them to try and appeal to the younger audience with "Obsessed", and follow it up with a ballad aimed towards an older market. I can see what they were trying to do (appeal to recent and old Mariah Carey fans), but it would be hard to cater to both. "H.A.T.E.U." would've been a much better follow up if they wanted to go with a ballad, as it could've done some real damage on Rhythmic & Urban, and it's quite different to ballads on radio at the moment.

Damn, well I've lost interest in this record, LOL.

So, is this a full dance/pop album? I'm fond of his material, but can't get into his latest track.

I don't particularly like the guy, but this is a great track. If he hadn't knocked Rihanna around, everyone would be lapping this up. I, for one, love the production. Sure, there's a lot going on, but it's so infectious.

Great track, but I'm not sure it'll do much now. I would've loved for this to be the lead single, but in hindsight and with the way radio is treating ballads, "Obsessed" was probably the right choice. What does everyone think of the "H.A.T.E.U." remix? I think it's strong, but not as great as MC and co were pimping it to be. Her voice is fire on the newly recorded parts, though.
  15. "I Want to Know What Love Is" may have killed the momentum this era. I don't know if she can bring it back, even with the release of "H.A.T.E.U.", especially the way ballads are being perceived on U.S. radio. I'm devastated though, it's such a strong record and deserved more.

WOW. That cover is totally unexpected, but hot as anything. Let's hope the record is as hot as the artwork ;)

Wow, "Stone Hearts" is beautiful. It builds so nicely, and what a climax. I like "Happy", but I find it's a little anticlimactic. This, however, reaches an amazing high, being built from the opening verse. I don't think this would've been lead single material, but it's definitely worthy of making the album. The more I hear "Happy", the less confident I feel about it being released as the lead single. With all of these damn leaks, you'd think we'd hear some bangin' uptempos by now?! That's what I'm dying for. Hopefully the leaks stop here as it's just tarnishing the project.
  18. Oh, it is. I think most people realise it's not very radio friendly, even though it's one of the strongest cuts.

Wow, this is back at #7 on iTunes.

Tedder says something like that with regards to nearly every song he's involved in, LOL. I don't know, I like "Happy" but I'm still kind of disappointed. They literally have to release a hot uptempo as single #2, otherwise I think people will lose interest (internationally, anyway). Oh, and after listening to "Strangers" a little more, that backing track is too good to be ignored. The verses need some work, in my opinion, but the production is just beautiful.
  22. Woo-hoo! LOL. I knew you'd end up loving it. "More Than Just Friends" has grown on me like crazy. Love the production, the lyrics and the bridge is fantastic. "Skydiving" is a great track, but it doesn't sound mastered? Who knows, but it would've worked as a nice iTunes bonus track, or something.
  23. Wow, this is bad, real bad, LOL. To think, "E=MC2" sold 460K in it's opening week just a year ago, it's ashame it's singles flopped as it's given her no momentum for this record. Especially considering there's been little time to breathe between albums. But in reality, whichever way you look at it (i.e. sales are down, she's not coming off a massie album etc.) this is terrible. It's even worse coupled by the fact that "Memoirs" is one of her most personal pieces of work, and one of my favourite. HDD's numbers have been off in recent weeks, so here's to hoping they're wrong again.
  24. "Candy Bling" is just amazing. I can't stop listening to it. Anyway, where's Kelly man? I'm itching to know if she's enjoying the album or not, LOL.
