  1. I love that review. New demo has leaked. It's "Up Out My Face", and it's OK. I'm not sure if you guys will be feeling this, but remember, The-Dream's demos usually sound so tame compared to the finished product.

The "Obsessed" remix that was released on UK iTunes was not authorised by the label, which is why it's been taken down. I'm not sure about the future release of "Obsessed" over here, but I haven't seen confirmation that it's release has been cancelled.

LOL, my internet is bust so I can only use a friend's every so often! ANYWAY, I can't believe I'm going to say this... I love it. Honestly, I was dreading this because I feel the song itself is just repulsive, but Mariah killed it. The "whispers" were OK, too, and made the song that much more angelic (reminiscent of the "Butterfly" era as opposed to "Charmbracelet"). I'm not sure about it's sucess, though. I think it's got a decent shot at being a hit internationally, but in the U.S. I'm not sure. It's definitely not as edgey as "Obsessed" which has been gaining crazy numbers on Pop & Rhythmic this week.

Yeah, WWE has been lame for a long time. That said, TNA is ten times worse. They've been taking the WCW approach for far too long (using older stars who were made famous in WWE). Even if Hogan joins their hideous booking won't allow them to compete with WWE.

CM Punk v. Jeff Hardy - The only recent TLC/Ladder match that has actually delivered, as this is such an overdone gimmick. Punk's promo on Jeff earlier in the show was one of the most well written in WWE history, seriously. Jeff's swanton off the Ladder was the most beautiful looking since the 2000 Triangle Ladder match at Wrestlemania 16. Oh, and the ending with 'Taker was so unbelievably cool and unexpected. I'm pumped for this feud. Orton v. Cena - Match sucked, until the ending. The "fan" run-in was done PERFECTLY. They didn't even replay that clip, so WWE probably fooled a lot of people. DX v. Legacy - Seriously, I don't think ANYONE thought Legacy had a chance. They've been buried so horribly over the last few months. I will say that the second half of the match was actually really fun and well thought out, but I never bought a DX loss (especially after that ridiculously long entrance). Jericho & Show v. Cryme Tyme - This was just OK. Kane v. The Great Khali - This sucked hard. Jack Swagger v. MVP - I didn't realise that MVP isn't actually that much of a worker until this match. He's just so slow and awkward. The match was pretty boring. Rey Mysterio v. Dolph Ziggler - Great, great opener. I love Ziggler and his character, even if his name is stupid. Good show overall, I guess. The final match really stole the show for me.

I knew she couldn't come back as hard as Leona, but I really hate this. I can't see this being the breakout track she needs to break the U.S. It might be a moderate hit.
  7. This album has surpassed my expectations, by far. Based on the clips, I was expecting heaps of middle-of-the-road R&B filler, but I actually love/like all of the tracks (aside from "I Didn't Know My Own Strength"). "Call You Tonight" and "Nothin' But Love" are the stand-outs for me at the moment.

No way can she come back as hard as Leona did with "Bleeding Love", but I'm sure it'll be good. Kind of wishing Flo Rida wasn't on the track for some reason. It's not that I dislike the guy or anything, but it just makes it less appealing. Who knows, we'll find out tomorrow I guess.
  9. Wow, "Off That" is amazing. Timbaland's production actually sounds inspired, which is the first for a long time. Drake is killer, Jark! He flows so well, and the dude can actually sing. "Reminder" has leaked, and it's pretty strong, though I much prefer "Off That". Oh, this one is produced by Timbaland as well.
  10. Jay-Z & Alicia Keys?? DAMN, sure to be fire!
  11. I really like "Salute". In fact, "Million Dollar Bill" has already burned, so I think I like this more. ^_^

LOL, when I first heard "Bye Bye" I was "OMG THIS IS FOR MY PEOPLE'S WHO JUST LOST SOMEBODY!" and all that. Once I got over the initial lamb-like reaction, I realised it was not that great. ;) The snippet sounds OK. Doesn't sound as stunning as the "H.A.T.E. U" snippet, though, but this isn't even on "MOAIA" is it?

    #6 Rhythmic (+58 spins, +0.602 AI) #13 Urban (+29 spins, +0.190 AI) #25 Urban AC (+2 spins, -0.027 AI) #26 Pop (+63 spins, +0.280 AI) Another GREAT update. ^_^
  14. Yeah, and it's one of the best R&B albums of the year so far. "Don't Need U" and "Over" are really strong. Easily better than her debut.
  15. You're right, but it's the single most cringeworthy 80's rock ballad I can think of. ;)
  16. I love the album as a whole, to be honest. Mariah would kill some of the tracks, but I don't think The-Dream & Tricky would push the boundaries with her as they did Electrik Red.

"Bye Bye" created the same kind of reaction, so I'm not getting my hopes up. Plus, "I Want To Know What Love Is" is one of my most hated songs of all time, but I won't shoot it down until I've heard her rendition.

I'm a little un-easy about the news of this release, but who knows, it could really smash. I'm just dying to hear the full record now.
  19. Um, "having a typical emotional upset"? I love Mariah, but that's a lame acronym.

It wasn't overdone on RAW last night, but you were seriously entertained by their skits last week? It wasn't as bad as their stuff from 2006, but damn, those skits were embarrassing. Shawn cannot play the "fool" act very well. Back in the late 90's, DX were cool and entertaining when they didn't have by-the-numbers, made for children scripts. The three segments where Shawn was a chef were just hiedous, and I can't believe anyone over the age of 13 would think otherwise.

LOL, it's great how such a simple line can be so effective.

Damn. Kane v. Khali? I can't say I've been this uninterested in a "SummerSlam" PPV in a long time. The only match I'm anticipating is Hardy v. Punk. RAW has just been lame. I'll try and sit through the live show tonight, but I think I'll be off to bed if there anymore "funny" (and yes, that's pure sarcasm) DX skits.
  23. Yeah, she could've still performed at the VMA's, but who knows. I'm just hoping this is the final push-back and based on the reviews (even the negative articles), I know I'll love the album. I would love for The-Dream to give Mariah an Electrik Red-type song, does anyone else agree? He & Tricky produced their entire debut album, and although they flopped, the production was just so crisp, exciting and "out there". The lyrics were trashy, but there are some killer tracks on their record. Seriously. BUT, I don't think the label or MC will want to take that much of a risk, but man, I would love to hear MC sing along to "P is for Power" or "Kill Bill"...

I've only just noticed the caption under your name, Jark. LOL. Great.

I knew she lost some last week on Urban, but they can sometimes tire of songs before jumping back on them. Today's update was strong all round. #6 Rhythmic (+65 spins, +0.802 AI) #13 Urban (+33 spins, +0.322 AI) #25 Urban AC (+3 spins, +0.018 AI) #27 Pop (+112 spins, +0.672 AI) I can't believe how well it's started doing on Pop. And DAMN has "Obsessed" stayed consistent on iTunes.
