I'm pleased "Best I Ever Had" is blowing up on iTunes. It's got such a great hook, and he's a rapper who can actually sing. Like Weezy, his lyrics are just crazy. "So Far Gone" is one hell of a mixtape.

I'm surprised there haven't been any "this sucks, I want Mariah to release corny ballads" comments on this board. People - in general - still don't get the whole situation. I'd much rather listen to Mariah's amazing "hood" wordplay as opposed to her generic pop lyrics. I'm not disregarding any of her early 90's work, her debut album is near perfection, but she can't be stuck in this era. Anyway, I'm still in love with the track. The remix is OK, but I prefer the original. I'm glad she's sticking with making urban music instead of working towards a Dance/Electro sound.

The thing is, they're giving away HHH v. Orton on free TV in an LMS match less than a WEEK before their promoted PPV match. OK, it doesn't matter because no-one's interested anyway, but there's no logic to this booking. Maybe they're going to announce a HIAC match, but would they leave it this late to announce this kind of match? Plus, it's also illogical that there's a "rematch" at The Bash. Why is there going to be a rematch?!?! Things just can't get any worse for RAW.

I don't think it's generic at all. I think The-Dream & TS's beats are hot, and although it could've been included on "Love vs. Money" it's a fresh sound for Mariah. In fact, it doesn't sound like a "typical" Dream production. It's similar to "Migrate", but it's very urban and has one killer hook. I'm not sure how well this will fair at Pop radio, but I sense a smash at Urban.

Although her last album was a flop compared to "TEOM", I'm pretty sure it was IDJ's most successful album of 2008, so it's nice to see them investing so much into MC.

Damn, this is her best lead single since "Honey".

WOAH. That's an Urban smash if I've ever heard one. I wasn't expecting this, but I'm really happy. The whistle notes are crazy.

I'm in full agreement with your comment regarding moving away from Jermaine. I think Mariah and IDJ have listened to the critisisms of her last record, as he's not going to have half the amount of input on this album. I think it's a smart move, as it seems they're really pushing for a successful era. I mean, her last album wasn't a failure by any means, and this is why they're working hard on trying to keep her fresh. I think it's a good move that she's with IDJ. They're seemingly investing a lot in her, and rightfully so.

I don't think anyone should worry about this being a "Touch My Body" or "My Love" rehash, they've confirmed it's an uptempo. I do think it's going to include Mariah's fun, modern wordplay based on some of the lyrics already teased. Oh, and The-Dream has said she takes a shot at someone. Hm, it's clearly Eminem, but I hope it's not a complete diss song as that's not what I want from a MC lead single.

I love their productions. Their beats are always so smooth and suit Mariah's vocal perfectly. Album is going to drop on Aug. 25, according to Mariah Connection.
