  1. I'm so thrilled to see all of the positive reviews. She's a real diamond in the making, if only she was being managed properly...
  2. Yeah, it officially went for adds in January but flopped massively. They shot a video, but decided to send "Unthinkable (I'm Ready)" for adds. It definitely worked in their favor, with "Unthinkable" becoming her biggest U.S. hit this era. They're seemingly going to brush the original release under the carpet and attempt to release the song again in the summer. It may be more of a hit the second time round with an official release of the video, but I don't think it'll do much based on the original lukewarm reaction to the track.
  3. The performance was seriously amazing. I know I'm an AK fan but that would've sold me if I wasn't...

There's a helluva lot of controversy surrounding their relationship, so I'm surprised people don't know of it... Anyway, congratulations to Alicia! There have been reports for a while, but at least it's now been confirmed.
  5. Can't wait for the mastered version of this, it's literally one of his best lead singles. Just unbelievable.
  6. Totally understand what you're saying Paul. However, I think because she's been working on her performance, her vocals have to take a hit. I don't think they've been affected as such, it's just before she would only focus on the vocal aerobics and now she's putting on a performance as a whole. I get what you're saying, but I'm just happy she's finally got some confidence and isn't just standing there like a statue anymore. Genuinely thrilled she's getting so many positive reviews.

It's one of my favourite Leona tracks, that soaring chorus gets me everytime.

Yeah, it's been blowing up on Urban & Rhythmic.
  9. I thought "Can't Breathe" wasn't there for a second, and I was like "what is this girl smokin'?!" but hell no could she not perform that gem of a song! I need a youtube clip of that performance NOW! "Yesterday" & "Alive" would've been neat, but there were always going to be one or two glaring omissions.
  10. His debut was literally a masterpiece. There is no filler whatsoever. One of my favourite debut records, so yeah, I'm excited for this. He's got a real distinctive sound that is strong and I hope he keeps it "dark".
  11. HOLY CRAP! I just watched her performance of "Take a Bow", and it was extremely impressive. Her vocals were not as strong as they have been, but I think that was because she was hellbent on delivering a great performance, as a whole. Honestly, that performance shows just how much she's grown in the last few months. I'm seriously impressed - it's so much more enjoyable to see her having fun.
  12. Great lead single. The message & production are great. His flow is great on "Power". It's nice to hear Kanye return to spitting lines like "they say I was the abomination of Obama’s nation", crazy! Love the change in tempo towards the end of the song, too.

LOL, fair enough. It should be leaking sometime in the next week or two. Germany get the record early June if I'm not mistaken, so not long now.

Oh, it is! The Aaliyah sample is amazing, and apparently it's been cleared so will be included on the final version. I believe "Unforgettable", "Fireworks" & maybe "Light Up" have yet to be mastered, so they're not the final versions. "Fireworks" is my favourite at the moment, if you've heard "Fear" it has a real similar sound & theme. Alicia's hook is amazing too, quite understated, but amazing. Oh, and the chorus on "Light Up" is literally one of his most simple, but greatest hooks ever. Sorry to make it harder for you, it had to be done, I've had to give in LOL.

    1. "H.A.T.E.U." 2. "Obsessed" 3. "More Than Just Friends"

LOL, I tired but it just wasn't happening. You wait until you hear "Fireworks" & "Light Up" - both are up there with some his best.

Well, I did not expect that (in reference to the Pink & Rihanna collaboriations)! Really interested in hearing this record now...

"Light Up" featuring Jay leaked, and holy $h!t, this goes hard. Another quality track. I know "Thank Me Later" going to be my favourite record of the year. The production on this album is just out of the world.

Yeah, I grew to like the mastered version a lot more. The hook is great. It's a very reflective song. Not my favourite choice as third single, but the dude is litterally on fire when it comes to airplay, so whatever he released will go top 10 (on Urban). "Find Your Love" blowing up on Urban & Rhythmic. I spoke about a few of the other tracks that have leaked in the album thread. What have you thought so far, Dan?

"Fireworks" featuring Alicia Keys leaked, and it's officially one of my favourite Drake tracks. Alicia performs the hook perfectly, the beat is crazy & Drake's third verse is just killer. Once we've heard the mastered version I'm sure it'll be close to matching "Fear".

  23. "Got Your Back" is OK, Keri sings the hook well. However, "Yeah, Ya Know (Takers)" destroys this track (which also premiered this week). It sounds more like old school T.I. as opposed to something that's tailor made for mainstream radio.

#1 "Hard" featuring Young Jeezy #2 "Cold Case Love" #3 "Rude Boy"
  25. I haven't listened to the whole record yet, and to be honest, I didn't intend to - until hearing "You Lost Me". I couldn't even finish "Not Myself Tonight", quite enjoyed "WooHoo" but this is just magical. Seriously, the song is contructed so brilliantly, I think it may be one of my favourite Christina tracks of all time (not that I'm much of a fan anyway). I don't know why I connect with the song itself, it's not something I can really relate to, but when I heard it something just "clicked", you know? Extremely impressive.
