Please Don't Leave Me [Official Third Single Thread]
The video is strong, but it doesn't make the song great; the song was already great. I've only just started listening to Funhouse, and this caught me instantly. It's so infectious, and I hope it does really well. This is way better than Sober.

WWE 24/7
You know, I was thinking the EXACT same thing. I have a feeling they'll win the tag belts, unwillingly together. I think they are always put in the same category because of the same period they debuted and the fact that they've yet to break through the glass ceiling and seem to be sailing on the same boat, if you get what I mean. I'm hoping theirs a bright future for them both. I wonder if MVP v. Shelton for the U.S. Title will be added to NWO. I really thought it would be.
-
Beaten up by Chris Brown
I've been put in that situation, and I think a lot of people have. How you react is how you're defined as a man, I guess. I'm a pretty strong guy, so if I were to raise a fist to a woman, it'd do more damage than if she were to do the same (without trying to sound sexist). You can say "she shouldn't have hit him" and use that argument all you like, but it just proves you have very little morals. You claim you're not giving Brown justification, yet you clearly are. Jeez, this proves you know nothing about the US law system. I'd steer clear from making comments you know little about.

WWE 24/7
Yeah, back when Bourne teamed with Rey, it was so much fun. Rey seemed somewhat rejuvenated when he was with Bourne, so I'm hoping they both end up on ECW. I quite like Miz & Morrison. I think they mesh quite well and look extremely good together. I think Morrison is the only one with a future though, so I can see what you mean about Miz holding him back. I think it's a matter of time before they split considering how over they are now. So, what's everyone think of MVP? You know, he's not that much of a worker, but he's so charismatic. I think he has a bright future. I wonder when WWE will pull the trigger. He seems to be a bit like Kennedy in the sense they both haven't done anything to prove themselves in the ring. They can both talk, but in the ring they seem to lose focus. It's not like their big guys and can get away with it, either.

Butterfly
After adding Daydream to my iPod, I forgot how much of a masterpiece it was. Butterfly is a great album, but there's more standard Mariah filler. Breakdown was a great track, though. Daydream is head and shoulders above anything else, for me. Fantasy, One Sweet Day, Always Be My Baby, Forever, Long Ago, Underneath the Stars are all amazing tracks. It was a step in the right direction for her. I do think this, and the Butterfly era was when her voice was at it's best.

WWE 24/7
Woah, Natalya would be so cool. She's a better worker than the other Divas, and I get WWE doesn't always work by this logic, but she could be such a GREAT dominant heel. The Draft is always exciting. I don't think they'll capture the magic of last years. The big move this year I think will be the Undertaker. Michaels won't go to SD, and that's the only big shocker they would have left. This way, we'll get Cena v. Taker sometime which is one of the only big money matches they have left. I want Mysterio on ECW. He's like a lost puppy on Raw. I'm fed up of seeing the same rehashed storyline he's involved in. I think he could have a good run on ECW. I have a feeling HHH will be moving back to Raw. The writers have made it clear they want HHH and Steph involved (either against or with each other). I'm just hoping he doesn't come back to $h!t on Orton (because I'm sure he'll have the belt) so we'll get the 17364546th HHH v. Orton match with Orton being buried... AGAIN.
-
WWE 24/7
He was a face with Edge back in 99-early 00. I can't remember a solo face run, though. OK, so now Austin v. Jericho is in the pipeline. I can see them really going with that. Jericho's been badmouthing everyone and everything lately, and Austin has said (in the past) Jericho is one of the only guys he would trust getting back into the ring. I don't think they'll do Jericho v. Flair considering how strongly Flair stated he would't work a match again. I'm sure he will eventually, but even he realises a comeback after ONE YEAR would be a slap in the face to everyone. I'm just glad Cena v. Orton is on. Stephanie HAS to turn and join The Legacy sometime soon, man.

Beaten up by Chris Brown
Just had to say, a lot of wife beaters have witnessed their own mothers being beaten. That's such an ignorant comment to make. It's like a vicious circle that can continue. Like I said before, a real man knows you never touch a woman. If she's going nuts, you call the cops. Whether it was Rihanna or not, it's irrelevant. He attacked a woman. That's just horrid, and believe me, I'm a *huge* fan of his music.

Lil Wayne - Prom Queen
Lil Wayne to Release Two Albums This Year Despite a minor setback, Lil Wayne will pull double duty and release two albums in 2009. Not even the No. 1 selling artist of 2008 can withstand the inevitable album pushback. Lil Wayne’s first rock album Rebirth is now on the map for May. It had previously been scheduled for an April 7 release. Inside sources also tell Rap-Up.com that the follow-up to 2008’s best-selling album Tha Carter III, Tha Carter IV, will arrive just before the holidays in December, making for a nice Christmas gift for fans and Universal Motown. The New Orleans rapper will shoot the video for his first single “Prom Queen” today and tomorrow in Los Angeles. The song is currently No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. http://www.rap-up.com/2009/02/12/lil-wayne...bums-this-year/ --- Roll on Tha Carter IV. Told you guys this rock album was just for fun. The real biggie is Carter IV.

"I Will Be" • North American Single
27 26 LEONA LEWIS I Will Be 2433 2161 272 15.056 +9 Spins -8 Bullet +0.062 Audience I think you might be right, Aidan. That is an absolutely DIRE update. I hope it's just a one off, because I really thought this would at least peak somewhere in the Top 20. I was hoping for Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, too. Then we could at least say "three Top 40 BB Hot 100 hits" but it's not looking promising at the moment.

2008 Grammy Award Winners - Year Of The Brits
"Whoah, wait a minute - you're suggesting awards should be given to the artists who make the most money? Just when I thought the music industry had gone as low as it could, out pops this statement of sheer terror." Take my comment for what it's worth. Try not to exaggerate this. I don't think awards should be handed to artists just because they write their material, especially if it's not that great. There should be an even playing field. All I'm saying is don't award an artist just because they write their material. Duffy had a few good tracks, but her record was a bit lame. Duffy had just as many boring tracks on her album as Leona did. She only had a tad more critical acclaim than Leona had for her album stateside. Bleeding Love was a great track. Good lyrics, with some nice production from Tedder. It was huge, and deserved to be recognised whether she wrote it or not.

2008 Grammy Award Winners - Year Of The Brits
LOL, how can you say she didn't dominate? #1 on the Hot 100 & album charts, a huge #1 on radio (which broke the record for number of spins in any one week) and a secondary consistent radio hit (BIT). Compared to Leona, Duffy and Adele flopped big time in my home country. Leona was robbed. We thought it might happen, but she should've been given Pop Vocal Performance. Spirit was a little tedious at times, but Duffy's was a snoozefest. The only reason she won is because of her writing credits. The Grammys need to realise all of these artists who have billons of writing credits are not the driving force behind the music industry. That's not where the money is (in general terms). I'm glad Alicia won Female R&B Vocal Performance. As I Am was robbed of album of the year. I'm shocked Jazmine was snubbed. She was up for 5, and had a lot of critical acclaim (more-so than a lot of the other nominees). That was the *real* shocker, based on what the board like to vote for.

Predict: The Saturdays - Just Can't Get Enough
LOL. I can't believe this tripe has a shot of being #1. You know, I did't like Issues at all, but I was starting to take them a little more seriously... now this? Man, this is their worst single by far (and I hate them all).
-
Beaten up by Chris Brown
A real man know you never touch a woman. However enraged she is. I loved the guy, too.
-
Brit Awards 2009 [Official Topic]
Man, I was just listening to Duffy's album and what a snoozefest. There's like three good tracks on the record. I know Spirit was anything but a masterpiece, but come on. Roll on the 2011 Grammys, considering Leona probably won't be eligable for next year's. I'll find it hard to soak this in, more-so than the Brits snub, believe it or not.
-
Brit Awards 2009 [Official Topic]
She's been snubbed. That's it for Leona. She lost Pop Vocal Performance to Adele. Then Pop Vocal album to... DUFFY. I get the hype with Duffy, but seriously, she did not deserve that. I really thought Eagles would take that one. As for Adele, I have no words. Both have had little success in the US and did NOT deserve these awards at all. I really thought she might take Pop Vocal Performance. At least Alicia won R&B Solo Performance for Superwoman. It still doesn't change the fact that Leona, the most the successful British female in the US in a long time is going to be the only British female leaving empty handed. It's just so wrong...

Brit Awards 2009 [Official Topic]
Are the Grammys SERIOUSLY being cut down to an hour this year on ITV2?? Jeez, there's got to be somewhere (on TV) we can watch the full ceremony. I know we've got it online, but it's still aggrivating. There's still hope for her at the Grammys. Pop Vocal is still the one she's most likely to get (if she's going to get any at all). A lot of critics are split on that category. Oh well, if she doesn't get any, there's always next year. But, if her album is out late this year, I think she'll miss the cut off date, which would suck. I know being nominated is great and all, but the winners are the only ones remembered. She'll get that Grammy one day...
